Terrible business practices. Vehicle was dropped off 10 months ago for some “trophy winning work” as Jesse, the owner, said. Come to find out that the car was sitting outside for so long that the lips of the wheels were stained and the hardware on the wheels were rusting.

Don’t take your car here ever. They promise great turn over rates and quality but you’ll find out quickly that they’re not as great as they say. Also if you call them out on their terrible practices, they’ll curse you out.

I dropped one sling off at iCar Houston on August 03, 2020 and I was initially told that it would take six three weeks to complete. To date, that sling has still not been completed.
When I drove away in the vehicle, I noticed there was a screw in the tire, the speakers were connected improperly, which blew all 6 compression drivers. The subwoofer amp was blown and in protection mode. This vehicle was missing twelve screws and had the wrong screws place in the front fender. Although this vehicle was incomplete, it was picked up on December 11, 2020 because it was getting an extensive audio upgrade.

Jesse Arzola, the owner of iCar Houston was made aware of all the issues with this vehicle and he told me to take it to the audio shop to get the audio system completed, so if anything else happened to the vehicle they would fix everything at one time. I agreed, because we had a great business relationship and we had started other business endeavors. I rec’d a discounted price because this was the first slingshot iCar Houston had ever painted and I was sending additional slingshot owners and automobile owners to iCar Houston for paint and body work.

I dropped my other sling off on October 12, 2020. I was told that, because iCar Houston had the process of paining slingshots down and it wasn’t getting as much work done as the first one, that it would “definitely” only take five weeks to complete. The cage poles are not completely painted. The brake calipers are supposed to be taken off the vehicle and painted, but they were painted on the vehicle so they do not match. All of the parts for my audio system (headrest speaker pods, subwoofer covers) were all supposed to be painted and none of these items are painted. The rims for this sling was supposed to be accented blue and to-date, this is still not done (they are still all black). The screws holding the hood wings on were broke so one of the hood wings snapped and flew off the vehicle. The license plate relocator to this vehicle was lost by iCar Houston. The hood braces were broke off, by iCar Houston, and never replaced. This vehicle also has a missing gas cap. This vehicle was picked up in February 2021.
Jesse Arzola, the owner of iCar Houston was made aware of all the issues with this vehicle, as well. Jesse told me to take it to the audio shop with the other one and he would take care of these items after the audio was installed. I was able to find new hood wings for $200 and Jesse Arzola, told me he would reimburse me for the hood wings and the license plate relocator. This never happened. This vehicle also needs to be wet sanded and paint imperfections need to be fixed.
I was supposed to bring both vehicles back to get all issues resolved, once the audio had been completed. I received a text message from Frank (a new business partner at iCar Houston) stating that he has heard rumors that I was starting. And whether those rumors are true or not, any discounts that I rec’d, working with iCar Houston were voided and they were going to hold all my parts that were in their possession. Frank has only been at iCar Houston for about a month and I can only assume that he wasn’t completely aware of everything that Jesse and I had previously discussed (to include issues with vehicles) and what arrangements we had in place.

iCar Houston had my red sling from August to December (6 months) and they had my black sling from October to February (5 months). I lost money on hotels and events, due to iCar Houston not keeping true to the initial timeframes given to me. During this time, I was still making payments on my vehicles and was unable to use them.

In August of 2020, I recommended iCar Houston to a friend of mine to get her bumper repaired, on her Acura TLX. Jesse told her it would take 3 weeks to complete and iCar Houston had her car for 3 months, just to replace a bumper and tail light.

I normally don’t leave bad reviews but I had such a bad experience at this place, I decided I would share. I brought two motorcycles in for a paint job. Quoted 2k out the door for both. Was told if I drop off on Monday, they would be ready Friday. It took over 5 weeks to complete the project. It was week 3 before the paint was even ordered. I was given excuse after excuse but it was obvious they were simply trying to appease. To put the cherry on top, when everything was FINALLY finished, they threw an extra $400 on because they could not mix the paint in-house.
In summary, I’m not sure if they are crooks or have too much on their plate but in the end it ultimately caused this customer a horrible experience and I can’t say enough bad things about them.

I am very sorry that your experience was not the best. We did have a few weeks where we were trying to agree on a color that was of your liking. After agreeing on a custom candy color, we did have to order this and the pink flakes as we do not keep custom candy colors or flakes on hand. During the Covid-19 pandemic our paint distributors were closed and we were unable to fulfill that order until they reopened. The chameleon paint was unfortunately a discontinued color and we did have to look for another distributor that offered it. When you originally came in, you were given an " ESTIMATE" for a regular paint job. You later chose to go with a " CUSTOM CANDY " color paint job, prices change if the job changes. However, although the job should've been much higher, I did mention that we would honor the original quote but would only charge the paint as this is something we do not stock and did have to come out of pocket for. I don't feel we were dishonest in any way. We always try to go the extra mile for our customers and I am truly sorry that you left unhappy, although I know the job itself was a quality job.

If your car is towed here have it sent to a company recommended by your insurance company. They avoid phone calls and if you go up there they hide in the back and pretend to be busy. Every time my adjuster wrote a check they came back saying they found more problems and needed more money. They claim they stand behind their work that’s a lie. They also charged for brand new parts and only knocked the dents out of the old parts that were damaged. They claimed to replaced my hood while sitting in my garage a few days after getting my car out the shop I noticed a dent on my hood that can only be seen if you’re at an angle and compared it to pictures taken after my wreck and it was the same dent that they missed. I lifted the hood and under the hood was the paint from the car that I hit still under the hood although my bill said they ordered a new hood and replaced it. Also the in-tow on the bumper fell off and I looked at it and it was bent on the back the same way it was bent on the picture I took after the accident they also charged for a bumper but obviously they glued the old one and painted over it. This is not a reputable company and they do not honor their work and will scam you out of money.

I have nothing but negative things to say about this place and it’s owners. My vehicle was towed here over a month ago and needed extensive repairs. However when my insurance adjuster wrote them a check for repairs they cashed it ordered a bunch of parts knowing it wasn’t going to be repaired. Of course the vehicle was totaled so they did no repairs. They want a ridiculous amount of money for doing nothing but tear down and seeing frame damage was extensive enough to be a total loss. They drag their feet knowing the storage fees are adding up the owner Jesse is always conveniently unavailable at the shop or on for phone calls. It gets passed to his wife Abigail which is just as bad. My adjuster and another Allstate representative went to the shop to try and talk Jesse and he’s is never available. They know what they are doing and how to play the game of screwing over the insurance company and the customers. I wouldn’t recommend this shop ever. It’s a shame places like this do this and know what they are doing.

I would not take your vehicle here for repairs if you are in a motor accident. There were many things still messed up/missing on my vehicle after it was all done, as well as new parts that were on the supplement paper work that did not get replaced on my vehicle. They may do well on the paint side of things, but I did not have a good experience here getting my vehicle repaired.

I'm disappointed in the service and work performed on my Truck here.

I even went by the shop to personally express my concerns before writing this review. The owner was busy however, so the receptionist recommended I write them down so he could follow up, but I never even heard back.

In short, I had a host of work performed to repair my Chevy pickup and I've since had MULTIPLE issues due to the improper installation of components by this shop. It's ultimately cost me much more money over the long run and unfortunately, I can not recommend this shop.

The worst experience ever. Horrible customer service, they don't care Jessie makes every excuse that something happened or he's too busy. From a distance the paint looks good but up close there's runs and the one of the pieces of the 3 piece wing is crooked. never finished the job after taking my money. Said it would take less than 2 weeks originally but took almost 6 weeks there and several more off site to try and finish what he didn't do. And still never finished. Went on vacation and didn't even say he'd finish when he got back or give status of the car. Broke a piece on my car and said he'd pay half because it had non-visible hair line crack already but after it was smashed on both sides. Finally paid for it. Delay after delay and too many broken promises. "Car will be ready tomorrow" but then next day, "oh painter got sick, but will be ready tomorrow it's going in the booth tonight" then next day "oh going good your car will be in the booth tomorrow" so what happened to last night??? Constantly went like this for a month and a half and was so stressed out. Definitely never going there again. I won't even let them do the detailing that he never did when I finally got the car back. Don't want them to ever touch it again. Have to take it somewhere else and pay again to have someone fix the wing right and the runs in the paint as well. Go there at your own risk.......
