My time as a student at Baruch has been close to a nightmare. I’ve never been so stressed in my life. I’ve never attended a more money driven school. I can’t speak for other CUNY schools, but Baruch operates on another level.

The biggest issue is the lack of flexibility and support from administration. Everything is very black and white, with little consideration for individual situations. There are fees for everything, and policies are enforced in ways that feel excessive, while actual student support is limited.

A major example of this is registration. I am currently being blocked from enrolling in the last course I need in order to graduate. I have already applied for Summer graduation and paid for commencement, yet I cannot register because I am in the evening MBA program and all of the courses being offered this semester are restricted to online MBA students. This leaves little to no options for traditional MBA students, even when the course is required for graduation. I understand reserving some seats, but restricting all available options makes it nearly impossible to complete the program on time.

Communication is also a major issue. It’s difficult to reach anyone by phone, and email responses can take days, yet there is no flexibility when it comes to strict deadlines and penalties. When you do get a response, it often lacks empathy and feels dismissive.

The professors, however, have been great. But overall, the administrative experience has been frustrating and stressful. Policies should support students trying to graduate and move forward, not create unnecessary barriers.

Would I recommend this school? It wouldn’t be my first choice. I would suggest doing thorough research on the administrative team and their policies before committing, because situations like this can quickly change the trajectory of your college journey.

Baruch college?? SO YOU OFFER courses in law and ethics that touch on topics related to sexual harassment, violence against women, workplace misconduct, and public policy.
Some relevant courses include:
LAW 9770 "Labor and Employment Law" - discusses workplace sexual harassment, discrimination, whistleblowing, and employment rights.
LAW 4906 "Women, Law, and Policy" - examines women's legal rights, violence against women, equality, and social/legal policy issues.
LAW 9000 / LAW 9201 "Legal and Ethical Environment of Business" and "Overview of Business Law and Ethics" - focus on ethics, legal responsibility, and professional conduct in business environments.
Baruch also has active Title IX and sexual misconduct policies addressing sexual assault, harassment, stalking, and gender-based violence on campus. SO YOU TEACH THESE PRINCIPLES BUT DO NOT PRACTICE IT WHAT A JOKE OF A SCHOOL YOU SHOULD BE AHSAMED OF YOURSELF

Baruch is a good college. I am a transfer student and is dealing with issues created by the Bursar’s office. I cannot pay the commitment fee online. The tech service and admissions office cannot fix the problem so I paid cash in the Bursar’s office. I asked the senior lady if she updated in the system. She said it’s already updated. When I came back and checked online, it’s not updated. I spent tons of time with the admission’s office. I was kicked around between the offices. No one thinks it’s their job to update the information even if I provided screenshots or payment history. My admission process is on hold now. Baruch never contacted me with updates regarding my admission which is very disappointing.

I am considering dropping the admission. There is so much trouble and so much anxiety from the admission process. I wish I have chosen a different college. My money and time will be wasted.

I highly recommend future students to choose another college at the same time even if Baruch accepted you. You may end up like me wasting time and money and with no college to go.

Would give them 0 stars if possible. Employees are working slow to almost not working. They need to fix all the used places (elevators, computers, dining places) for the money college receives. Total disappointment!

I liked my classes and the professors, but it was hard to find classes that matches my schedule. Countless times there were classes available but wouldn't let students register reserving them for specific groups. Scheduling was very challenging. The staff doesn't care if you need help. They would find a reason to say no. Their superiors are even worst. They frown at students.
