In the process of buying a new house, and found out that I was way overpaying on my auto insurance. Yet, every time when it comes to renewal I ask Jay to reshop my insurance and he always tell me that what I have is currently the best.
Yet, the corporate Goosehead agent that was referred to me by my home lender said that I'm paying nearly double and switching from what Jay has me with Progressive to Liberty Mutual with actually slight more coverage is went from $9200 to $5800. Even the corporate Goosehead agent said this happens a lot with Agency Owner. They just take the money as they already have the business/commission and just not look out for your best interest.
I knew my spidey sense was tingling for a reason as I was always a little unsatisfied with even his responsiveness. Do not recommend.

Horrible she gave me a price to switch from another insurance stating it would be cheaper quick to get my money for service but poor service for communication now i’m stuck paying $100 more than what i did before

Grant was our agent and I tried to reach out to him about questions on my insurance going up and he never answered. The worst agent I’ve had. He was only quick to answer when he was trying to sell me the insurance at the beginning. I never got a letter or email stating that my insurance policy was going up.

Worst experience ever. Maddie was VERY persistent, calling, texting, leaving voicemails etc to find me a new quote. I went ahead and paid the ridiculous fee (around 200 bucks) for her help and went with a new policy which was indeed cheaper.
Two months later I receive an email my homeowners insurance has been cancelled.
No call, no text, nothing. Insurance company had sent notifications to agent w no response. NO INSURANCE FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS.
Long story short, I did all the work to get it reinstated. After I did, I called Maddie to see if she had anything to say, her response was "oh, I havent heard anything from them yet." Couldnt care less. I informed her that it had been reinstated.
My point is, all they care about is getting your money and not maintaining policies. Awful.
Oh! And when my policy was up for renewal and my rate went up, no call, No text, no vmail.

Last July, we saved my family $4k total by changing our homeowners and vehicle insurance providers. Not long after, in mid-October, our home flooded due to a plumbing failure during the night. We notified the agency and opened a claim, confirming our coverage with Orien180 for water damage was $30k. Within 24hours, we were informed by the Orien180 desk adjuster that we had a rider on our policy that reduced our water damage coverage to $10k max because of our water heater being tanked and in the attic. When questioned about this catastrophic policy detail that was not disclosed to us, our agent said he had “never heard of it” and asked me to send it to him once I received it. The lack of knowledge about the existence of this rider cost us $20k. Our total to dry out & rebuild will cost just shy of $30k. While obviously a successful agency when it comes to sales and the front-end experience there was no support to help us fight the decrease in coverage making the “savings” we enjoyed end up costing us much more. Be very cautious!

Things started off great, but after we finalized our home and auto insurance things took degraded quickly. Emails, texts, and voicemails have gone unanswered multiple times. Paperwork was botched. Insurance brokers should make their clients' lives easier, not add extra stress and work. ESPECIALLY when they charge an agency fee for the "privilege" of working with their office.

The worst insurance experience I have ever had, reps acted as if they were knowledgeable but ended up just making answers up to get me off the phone. I have had issues with 4 out of my 6 polices that Goosehead was responsible for. A lot of issues with us sending Goosehead money but them not paying for the policies. I will never use them again. Please look elsewhere. It’s not the worth the $199 fee you pay them to screw things up.
