I would give this hospital zero stars if I could! DO NOT trust these ppl with your loved ones! My family member has been there for 8 days now. He’s in worst condition today than when he arrived 8 days ago. They have pushed his surgery back every day since he arrived. It’s one excuse after another. He’s diabetic and isn’t getting his meds because he can’t eat because he’s been scheduled for surgery every day. Everyday they come in at the end of the day to say his surgery has been pushed back to the next day! This incompetence has gone on for 8 days! The antibiotics are causing his kidneys to shut down but without them his infection could spread! Someone needs to do their damn job and get him taken care of. The lack of care he is receiving should be criminal. But I guess that’s what happens when you don’t have insurance cause you can’t afford it!

My brother has been here 8 days today they told him that he was admitted because it would be faster to have his procedure done while he is already here rather than trying to schedule it as an outpatient procedure because of availability issues. However that apparently doesn’t matter they have rescheduled his procedure numerous times. The antibiotics that he is taking are doing more harm than good at this point because he has been on them for so long. The podiatrist is affiliated with other hospitals and only comes on certain days that procedure keeps getting pushed back also because one procedure depends on the other and the two different departments apparently don’t communicate well with each other. My complaint is really the lack of communication they send a student doctor in to give you minimal information once a day to tell you you’re on the schedule for one day then they don’t let you eat all day and then late afternoon they come and say oh sorry we can’t get to you today so maybe tomorrow or maybe two or three days from now it’s ridiculous.

This hospital has truly declined in the quality of care it provides. It’s become what people now refer to as the new Ben Taub—and unfortunately, the level of professionalism and compassion reflects that.
It took 24 hours to get an assigned room, she was left in a hallway for 7 hours then pushed into a dirty room that had trash all on the floor and urine from previous patients that the nurse spilt and wiped up with paper towels instead of getting housekeeping to mop it up. After filing a complaint with the charge nurse she got housekeeping to come in and all that man did was sweep. No proper sanitation was done at all, totally disgusting. The Dr ordered IV and CT and it took hours for anyone to even come and start IV. CT never done. She got to the floor and still no CT. She has been in this room since earlier today 3/19/26 and not one doctor came in today to see her. Instead they just ordered a prep for colonoscopy but never once seen by any doctor. This is so unethical! She has been here two days and no answers to nothing!!! She came in for stomach pain and given her colon history you would think they would be on top of it but absolutely nothing from these pointless doctors.
Then the experience my mother received on 3/20/26 at 2:36 AM in Room 366, South Tower, African American nurse ( so look up your records) was completely unacceptable. After being given a colon prep—knowing her history of colon issues and surgeries—it should have been expected that she would have difficulty controlling her bowels. Instead of being met with understanding and preparedness, the nurse on duty appeared visibly bothered when my mother soiled herself.
When I asked for diapers, I was told none were available on the floor. Instead, I was given bed pads, which is not an appropriate solution for a patient in her condition. I made it clear that repeated accidents would require staff assistance, as this situation was entirely preventable with proper supplies.
To make matters worse, there was no hot water available to properly clean her. I was told this was “maintenance’s issue,” leaving me to gather warm water from the sink and clean my mother myself. Basic hygiene supplies were also not provided—I had to resort to using foaming hand soap.
When the CNA entered, I again requested diapers and was met with an inappropriate response: “Is she going to poop in it?” Given her condition, the answer is obviously yes. Suggesting a bedside commode for a weak patient with no bowel control shows a lack of judgment and compassion.
Additionally, the room was left with an unpleasant odor, and no deodorizing solution was offered. Yet staff continued to enter and prioritize enforcing mask use over addressing the patient’s comfort and dignity.
Healthcare professionals—especially nurses—are expected to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. What we experienced was the opposite. This level of neglect and lack of empathy is deeply concerning and needs to be addressed. Everyone involved in my mother’s care from 3/18/26 should be reviewed and terminated because they truly do suck as healthcare professionals.

Bedside manners - horrible
Dr just wants money and doesn’t even care about your health. How do you discharge a patient and not even do an exam, when it was time for discharge they moved faster than ever to get you out. Overall hospital staffs are good and some are pleasant others just want you out. I had to push for my husband to stay for observation after a car accident

Id give this hospital zero stars if I could. This place is an absolute DISASTER. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt so many times and finally it deserves a review bc people need to steer clear of this place bc I am confident that nothing will change. The nurses are careless and even speak poorly of the hospital. I could go into detail about what happened after my mom had her surgery, but it would take days. In short, if I wasn’t a nurse and had the knowledge I have, my mom would’ve died there. The icing on the cake was that my mom showed up for her MRI that took weeks to get into, ON TIME. I made the appointment and nothing was said about it coming 30 min early. She got there and they gave her a tablet to register herself, as an elder, she struggled and no one helped her. Appt was at 12, the registration was finished at 12:13 bc no one would help her with the tablet they told her she had to reschedule. Not an easy feat getting our elderly parents to and from drs. Transportation has to be arranged and all and they claimed it would’ve them behind 2 hrs if they accommodated her. I work in a hospital and this is total BS.

My experience with my surgeon was excellent. Dr. Liang has done a tremendous job and I give him a 5 ⭐️ review for not only His performance during surgery but also with his transparency and his ability to put a person at ease. He’s extremely knowledgeable, kind, and a compassionate Doctor thatI would most certainly recommend if your ever in need of a general surgeon . Now to my experience with the hospital. My experience has been horrible so far. I get here to my room and within two hours the The TV breaks. So I sit 2days (so far) in a room with no TV. Push the button to call the nurse and it takes them 10 minutes to come after answering within one minute. Request pain medication took over an hour and a half and still nothing. staff is friendly, but nothing gets done. They are more worried about a stolen phone that a patient supposedly stole from a staff member then about helping patients in need. The only bright spot I can speak about is a nurse name Ariana and this extremely charming tech named Cassidy. Ariana seem like she genuinely tried, but Cassidy was my rock. She kept me laughing when I didn’t think it was possible. And she kept me up on all the latest news that was transpiring. This young lady went above and beyond to try to help and alleviate the pain, but she can only do so much. Ariana is someone that has a passion for this job and it shows. So I say thank you Ariana and Cassidy for all you do and much respect. Needless to say, I will not be coming back. Can you believe at checkout time when I told him I needed a little more time because I had just vomited and wasn’t feeling well security showed up? I could not believe that. I would not recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. If it’s a life-threatening situation, I would recommend taking the chance to drive down to Hermann Memorial.
Trust me… YOU’LL THANK ME LATER!!!

My wife went into her appointment with a few questions written down that she wanted to address. Dr. Davidson rushed through and dismissed my wife's concerns. My wife was not treated like a person and instead was treated like a number. Dr. Davidson today chose profits over people.

The worst hospital experience of my life, my partner was hospitalized to be given a bad diagnosis, we were hospitalized for 3 days and in the end the reason for his pain was what we were first told in the emergency room. The attention was very slow, the first day in the room, not even the doctor came to see us, when I complained about this the only thing I received was a phone call with zero staff, I felt that they did not care about my partner's condition. As you can see in the pictures the room was in a deplorable situation, I could not believe that a hospital has these facilities. The only reason I give 1 star is because of a couple of nurses who were really nice except for one who was extremely rude to me when all I did was ask to see a doctor, since I asked her to see a doctor her treatment towards us was fatal, she sighed, did not talk to us and ignored us. I feel this treatment was due to the fact that my partner did not speak English and I did my best to communicate his needs being that I’m bilingual. In conclusion a lousy service, facilities and even bad treatment for not speaking the language. Do not come here!!

I got treated badly due to the type if insurance i was on. Dr made me go 41 weeks and 4 days pregnant. She refused to induce me etc. Just go someplace else. I cried to her and she still refused. I had a horror story of an experience with this Dr. Choose someone with morale and better bedside manner. When I was over 41 weeks pregnant saying I was miserable she told me pregnancy is hard. No way?! She didn't care about my health or my baby purely about proving a point? I don't even know what her problem is.
