If you or your love one is in an emergency use ANYONE but this one. I’ve never felt more unsafe and unheard in my life. We left and went to patients off I10 and they took amazing care of me.
This hospital should be ashamed of how they treat people in emergency situations. -27/10

IF YOU ARE HAVING A STROKE AVOID Sugar Land Methodist Hospital. My father was admitted through their ER with a stroke, and the care was the most incompetent careless care ever received. At no point did the ER staff discuss tPA/tnk, explain that it was a possible treatment, or ask our family the critical questions needed to determine whether he was eligible. Afterward, we discovered medical records stating he had exceeded the treatment window—a conversation that never happened with our family. THEY TRIED TO COVER IT UP BY SAYING HE SHOWED SYMPTOMS OUTSIDE THE TIME WINDOW WHICH WAS NOT TRUE. And then when my father got an angiogram by Dr. Lau - Neurologist - I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. who told us it was a safe procedure that he would be fine. Well he wasn't ended up having another stroke right after the procedure and then another major stroke 1.5 weeks after that.

would never recommend Baytown Methodist Hospital’s emergency room based on my experience\.
I went to the ER five separate times with symptoms that I believed could have been rel ated to a stroke, including collapsing, vomiting, numbness, and severe neurological symptoms\. Each visit left me feeling ignored rather than cared for\.
On one visit, I was taken to an exam room and then left there for approximately six hours without anyone checking on me or providing treatment\. It wasn’t until my wife came to the hospital and demanded answers that anything happened\.
On another visit, I collapsed in the waiting room and vomited all over myself\. Instead of helping me up or cleaning me up, staff told me to get up, took me to a room, and left me sitting in my own vomit\. I found the way I was treated humiliating and lacking basic compassion\.
No patient—especially someone experiencing possible stroke symptoms—should feel abandoned or ignored while seeking emergency medical care\. My experience left me feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously and that I was treated without dignity or urgency\.
I sincerely hope the hospital reviews its emergency department procedures and patient care standards so no one else has to go through what I experienced\.

Absolutely horrible emergency room. I brought my mother in with endometriosis and after treating her pelvic pain they purposely performed an ultrasound and refused pain medication after the fact leaving her in pain for hours. At one point they stopped answering her calls to the nurses station. She hadn’t seen a doctor the first 4 hours in the emergency room.

This place is the most low down careless hospital in all the county.
They do not help
They do not care
And they do not deserve to be open.
How can a lady in he 70s that has stage 4 COPD who broke her shoulder and sprained her knee get release the same day and tell her there is nothing else they can do for her? Isn’t it your job as a hospital, nurse and doctors to help people who can not help themselves?
How can you release an elderly who can’t break and now can move or walk to fend for herself?
I will be putting in a moral complaint to the state health department. I will be taking this to the news stations for their lack for efforts you go to school and get paid to help and for you to let someone suffer is ridiculous.

Im here to tell yall about the forlack of medical care, improper triage prioritization, and neglect I experienced at your facility.I arrived at your emergency department presenting with acute, debilitating dental and gum pain, which I explicitly rated as a 10 out of 10 on the pain scale. I specifically informed staff that the pain was actively radiating upward from my tooth directly into my temple and my eye. I was in visible physical distress and actively crying from the severity of this pain for over an hour in your waiting room. Furthermore, my intake vitals showed a severely elevated blood pressure of 155/102 mmHg, indicating that my body was under acute hypertensive distress.Despite presenting with objective clinical markers of a high-priority patient (severe radiating facial pain, physical tears, and crisis-level blood pressure), the following failures in care occurred:Failure of the Triage Process: I witnessed multiple individuals who arrived significantly after me being called back and seen by medical staff before me. Many of these individuals did not present with visible signs of acute physical distress or critical vital signs comparable to mine.Dismissive and Unacceptable Staff Communication: When I advocated for myself and questioned the order of care, the triage staff dismissively stated, "I don't know who the doctors call first." This response represents a severe failure of professional standards. The triage department's core clinical responsibility is to monitor waiting patients, accurately assess acuity, and coordinate priority with the attending physicians—not to claim ignorance while a patient sits in hypertensive crisis.Total Abandonment and Lack of Reassessment: Medical staff and the attending physician repeatedly came out to call other names but completely ignored my presence and my worsening condition. No updates were provided, and no effort was made to reassess my dangerously high blood pressure or manage my extreme, spreading pain.Leaving a patient with a blood pressure of 155/102 crying in a waiting room with pain radiating to the eye and temple—and responding to inquiries with administrative indifference—is a direct violation of standard emergency protocols and patient safety guidelines.I expect a formal investigation into the triage decisions and staff conduct during my visit. Please provide a written response detailing the actions your administration will take to address this staff negligence and ensure this failure of care does not happen to another patient.i didnt even wanna give them 1 star they deserve nothing

How do you come to a hospital for an emergency and be waiting almost an hour for them to do literally nothing? From the moment we got here, the desk staff was less than welcoming, & the nurses looked and acted like they didn’t want to be here. Once we got in for my partners MAJOR CRAMPS & Urinary Retention, we realized that my partners blood pressure was also sky high and she was in A LOT of pain…the nurses just milled around and didn’t do anything to ease her pain. They acted like they didn’t even hear her crying. Mind you, there’s a skeleton staff here and there was no one in the hospital at this time. It’s like 11pm, so that could factor in, but really it’s no excuse. Every patient should receive the care they come for. I tell everyone to go to Methodist for their care because I believe they have the best care… however, this one, please pass on. Don’t waste your time.

Not good service. 👎🏽This location is very difficult to get emergency care. 🏥 The out patient services are ok. U can’t treat the emergency same as regular doctors office. Too many nurses are not helping and hardly anyone has any urgency. If someone can go to urgent care most people would. Yes I recommend a county facility if u qualify. some people do financially but are excluded so I understand everyone is different. I only go here at Baytown when I have to. some doctors and nurses are ok but I’ve encountered too many that don’t know how to help. even if you tell them how it’s been treated successfully. I’ve had other places explain things to me. This place doesn’t tell you what’s going on. u have to check your records like it’s a teaching hospital or something. dont they all get paid? I have to use my insurance they treat me so badly especially this last time I went. it was the worst ER visit. One nurse did the most but the other was treating me so terrible. so I wanted to say how I felt.
I don’t feel they listen to what medicine or condition i have. Intravenous medicine should be safe in a clean environment. I don’t know why some people have treatment in a waiting room. when u go into the different areas u can see empty beds. They also do the observation so I got rushed out while im trying to get well. I needed to lie down because I get dizzy and weak sometimes. If they give me more medicine that can also be a need to lie down. at least get me a recliner because when my levels are low it gets really painful. I don’t want to fall if I have to go to the restroom . Yes it’s a diagnosed condition.
Sometimes I have to get some fluids.
if my labs show abnormal over & over 👨⚕️👩⚕️🧑⚕️. Too many visits with little acknowledgment . it costs me too much to go here for little care. they are closest hospital for many people. It would be good if another hospital opened up and allow the people they don’t,won’t or can’t treat + to go somewhere close by. One doctor 🧑⚕️help find something is abnormal but too many don’t help. even if u tell them what has been found and treatment that’s works they ask if your license 🪪to practice your own medicine? I think they were from out of state. I’m not treating other patients or pretending anything unlike some. I can learn also but you treat me and my relative disrespectful.

Samantha at the front is one of the worst people I've had the displeasure of encountering, and the most egregious act was her being racist towards me. Never in my life have I ever been verbally asked if I was a US citizen. To make it seem like it was a necessary question to ask was heinous and seemed racially motivated. Before this, she had the audacity to laugh and shake her head at some information I refused to provide as it is in my right. She needs some serious training on how to be nicer to the people she serves. Just glad she's not a nurse because that kind of attitude reflect on care of the people she would be in charge of.
The other people here that mattered, the nurses and doctors I encountered, were incredibly nice and had a wonderful attitude. Huge thanks to them.

After 10+ years of trying everything I could in the most respectful way I know how. all I have now is sadness ☹️ and pain from what this facility has done and continue to do.yes I have chronic health problems but I do the best I can. my records are messy literally and figuratively. Their behavior is unethical but harmful.an example is getting IV fluids / treatment in the waiting room. If u don’t have a bed at least separate patients from an open area like that. ive tried with complete exhaustion to at least correct the medical condition and have my fair say to Correct records. recently not only is the care feeling like types of abuse, neglect but making my health and condition worse.i felt threatened ( doesn’t matter what I won’t list everything just being general here) when my medication changed so did my health. I’m trying but couldn’t keep up with the effects. I do have to also use the emergency at times. It’s really embarrassing, stressful enough but they add so much more problems by treating me poorly. then they added many inaccurate things but also lies 🤥on my actual medical records. . It’s harmful, damaging and dangerous. Not all staff does it but this last time it was more than one.1️⃣ they don’t want you to speak up ,get proper care and the retaliation is really bad when u try and fix an issue. I’ve been a kind helpful but quiet good citizen. So if they treat me like this I wonder about other patients. If the staff is approving this unethical behavior remember it affects all of society. It comes back around. when these people need care themselves or your reading this and think 💭 this won’t happen to you. maybe it’s somehow my fault.thats how it got this bad. It’s being allowed. They do it when people are at their most vulnerable. I want to 😭 when they pray over the intercom.
