Why would the emergency room have someone over 3 hours to see a doctor for an emergency situation? This is unacceptable. Please hire more staff or whatever it takes to treat a patient with dignity.

The COVID19 protocols were not respected by the woman taking my admission paperwork and payment. Her mask was continuously below her nose!!!
In the waiting room, there were chairs less than 6-feet from the hand sanitizer.
The staff was otherwise very polite and wearing masks.

Not impressed. When we went for preop we went to the surgery center because that is where the paperwork said to go. The receptionist was rude and condescending, just kept saying NOT HERE, but wouldn't say where.
The preop nurse was great, kind, sweet and caring; but it stopped there.
When we came for procedure, had us arrive 3 HOURS early and then they were rude when we questioned why. I asked the surgical nurse if there was a locker or storage area for street clothes and you would have thought I asked her to hold poop, turned her nose up and said the family can carry it. No the family can't CARRY it, the family is doing good to carry her purse... so then she decided that she guess she will allow me to put the bag of clothes under the bed. Just rude. The blood pressure cuff was ragged and falling apart, the iv pole was being held together by a giant binder clip... unprofessional!!

Had my first baby there recently and it was a horrible experience the minute my doctor left. Everything up until delivery was fine. The rooms are outdated with mini televisions, there was a lot of deliveries so most nurses were short, didn’t wanna help me with shower after C-section. They were negligent on proper shower aftercare, they forgot to tell me I was supposed to use special cleaner for my first shower after the baby so I didn’t and refused to help me when I asked for help in shower. There was one exceptional nurse named Bernadette who really helped and Tara was very nice. Everyone else was mediocre, seemed overworked, seemed as if we were a bother. Food was decent and room service did well. Called for LC, waited a whole day and she never came, the next day I had to request one again. I was there 3 days and no one was there to do bury certificates the whole time. I was told there was 2 people in hospital that knew how to do it and they both called in. So we had to leave the hospital with a newborn with no birth certificate info. We were forced to come back 4 days later which is a huge and ridiculous inconvenience with a C-section and bringing newborn back out. The showers are a complete slip hazard as well. I did voice my concerns to the charge nurse as well. All in all, I would definitely choose Methodist in Katy for future services.

Ive had great care in the past but now ive sat in a bed for 2 days in excruciating back pain and had to lie about my pain level so I could eat after 24 hours... The only offered me Tylenol for my level 7 pain after i repeatedly told them it wouldnt do anything because of a gene I carry and low and behold I got oral and IV Tylenol and it did nothing... Theyre sending me home because they cant pick up any contractions and I'm hurting more than you can know... I also had CPS threated to be called on me.... This hospital is filled with crooks who see you're on medicaid and take advantage and do lack of care.... I will be sitting at home for the next 3-4 weeks combating pain until I can deliver at my birth center or a more mother friendly hospital.
