I visited the emergency department on April 29, 2026. While waiting in my room, I witnessed a situation involving another patient that I found concerning.

A young patient across the hall was clearly distressed and speaking loudly on the phone. A staff member addressed her about being disruptive, which was understandable. However, after that, the staff member remained standing at the doorway despite the patient repeatedly asking to be left alone. This appeared to escalate the situation rather than de-escalate it.

Additional staff eventually became involved, and the situation intensified to the point where the patient was medicated. From my perspective, it seemed that earlier de-escalation or allowing space may have reduced the distress.

This experience made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe in the environment. Additionally, my room did not have a functioning call light, which made it difficult to communicate with staff when I needed assistance.

I understand that healthcare staff must follow protocols and ensure safety, but I believe there is room for improvement in patient de-escalation practices and communication, as well as ensuring all rooms have proper access to call systems.

I hope this feedback helps improve patient experience and safety for others.

The er maybe no wait as far as a waiting room goes but there is definitely a wait. Check your discharge paperwork CAREFULLY if they forget to include your prescription even for a non controlled medication. Getting your medical records from an emergency room visit is absolutely like pulling teeth. There's a form you have to fill out before you can use the patient portal so if you don't do that in the er you have to go back to the hospital to fill out the form to get the medical records to bring to your doctor for followup. Now I found all this out after spending 20 minutes trying to get a human being on the phone to help me because if you dial the operator they just keep hanging up on you.

I had a wonderful experience at OakBend Medical Center on Williams Way. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made sure every detail was handled smoothly.
The doctor truly stood out! she was very caring and kept checking on me to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain. I was genuinely surprised by how young, knowledgeable, and professional she was. She had a warm, kind approach and a beautiful smile that made me feel at ease throughout the visit.
Overall, I felt well taken care of and highly recommend this location for their excellent service and compassionate staff.

I've always said it, is the best Hospital I've been to. My experience Yesterday as how you went in for an x-ray of my foot was all around good! As I walked in I was greeted warmly with a smile and the sign in process was quick yet thorough. Then I was guided to the x-ray room and again I was greeted with kindness and respect. I waited very little and was done in less than 30 minutes. I Highly recommend Oak Bend Hospital in Rosenberg

Well my husband was admitted there on Thursday cause his glucose was very high and was suppose to be there till sat but his nurse calls me at almost 9:30 on Friday and said the Dr was releasing him because the Dr said he couldn't pay for another day and yes we were trying to get financial help to pay them but after this I don't know now what I'm gonna do I thought this hospital was good but I guess I was wrong .I have insurance but I'll never go to that hospital again. They really suck big time.

I visited the emergency department due to severe dizziness and concerning symptoms related to seizures. I underwent blood tests, urine tests, and a head scan, and I was told that everything was normal and there were no issues.

However, after seeking care at another hospital (Memorial Hermann), I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and a urinary tract infection (bacteria in urine), both of which were completely missed during my visit here.

This is very concerning, as these findings are significant and directly related to my symptoms. Missing both conditions raises serious concerns about the accuracy and thoroughness of the evaluation I received.

While the staff was polite and the wait time was acceptable, I am not satisfied with the quality of care or the medical assessment. I strongly recommend improving diagnostic accuracy and paying closer attention to patients’ symptoms to prevent important conditions from being overlooked in the future.
