Very disappointing experience at Texan Hyundai. This dealership seems to use misleading tactics just to get customers in the door.
First, I worked numbers with Alex (Alexandr), who told me he would speak with the manager and call me back. He never did. I followed up the next day, and again I got the same promise — “I’ll get back to you” — but nothing.
Then Lauren called me and told me to come in because they could match or beat another dealership’s offer. I clearly explained I already had an offer for $0 down and around $600/month. She confidently said they could match it or beat it and asked me to come in around 7 PM.
When I arrived, things immediately felt off. Mr. Ronaldo told me Lauren doesn’t even work there, which was already confusing. He then told me Alex would come meet with me shortly — but Alex never showed up. Another broken promise.
Instead, I was told to wait for the manager. After waiting over 35 minutes, Mr. Chase (the manager) finally came out. I explained everything to him, and he said he would check and see what he could do.
When he came back, the story completely changed. He told me there was no way they could even do $730/month and that the best they could offer was $800/month — nowhere close to the deal I was told over the phone.
What made it worse was Mr. Chase himself admitted that the salespeople say whatever they need to say just to get customers into the dealership.
That tells you everything.
From start to finish, this was full of false promises, poor communication, and wasted time. If you value honesty, transparency, and respect for your time, I strongly recommend staying away from Texan Hyundai. Get everything in writing before you step foot in this dealership.

I experienced the worst customer service ever! Amy acted like she didn’t know what she was doing? And then she brought back her co worker who was the worst customer service rep ever which I have yet to complain to the company about how much they lied, and they were so lazy about not wanting to work with me! If a dealership wants to make a sale they will go above and beyond their expectations but they didn’t show any interest at all Amy, co worker ( can’t even remember his name that’s because he was not working hard with me) told me after I asked her for him because I had a question? He what was your question because I am pretty busy in the back? I said never mind I don’t even want to deal with yall he said know go ahead? So I said the rebate can’t it just go towards the down payment? He said no they require the extra down payment, so I said all the dealerships that I work with always let me use the rebate as the down payment! That’s when I knew that they were not wanting to help me!! Then as I was leaving I see him on a smoke break!!! This Hyundai dealership is ridiculous!

Their service department is dubious at best. I scheduled my first free service after buying a new Santa Fe from them. I articulated exactly what I wanted done in the online appointment request. I wasn’t able to go with my wife to drop the vehicle off for the appointment. A service technician showed her the air filter, which didn’t need to be replaced, and lied to her saying it did. Thinking it was included in what I scheduled, she said ok. It’s not like they told her it wasn’t. It wasn’t until she went to pick it up that she was told she owed $65 dollars. $65 dollars for an air filter that wasn’t even a part of the initial requested service. They knew she didn’t know, which is why they didn’t quote her a price when asking if she wanted it replaced. I told them to take the filter off and put the old one on, and they wouldn’t. I told them to take the air filter off so we could get a refund, and they wouldn’t. They will argue saying she “agreed” to it, but they knew what they were doing by expanding upon the initial request and not quoting the service price when offering the service. Dubious and sleezy, but I guess this is the service you can expect from Texan Hyundai. 🤷♂️ I’ll eat the cost, but I’ll remember it. Any good will we had with this company is lost, and I couldn’t recommend them less to anyone considering buying a Hyundai or getting a service done.
