I got sent here for fighting a girl in my residential program. Honestly, 2 stars. They had cigarette breaks, but you need to have your own or have someone bring them to you. The food was okay, company was alright, staff was fun, but not always understanding. Most boring psych ward I've ever been to, I slept the entire time.

This facility and it's MD/NPs do a terrible job of communicating. They keep a patient for way longer than they should, even if staying there is actively preventing the patient from recovering.
IF you can help it, your loved one is better off recovering at home with your supervision than going to this facility or any facility like it.
If you try to communicate this to an actual provider (MD/NPs), you CANNOT get in touch with them. For 2 weeks, I asked for a call from the MD or NP and finally got one the day before discharge from an NP who basically said she is new and couldn't make any changes. This ONLY happened because one of the nurses basically begged them to call me.
As much as I think the facility is run terribly, I want to say I think the nurses and aids are doing their best and some are genuinely kind. They are also overworked. but it seemed they tried their best to help. Nurse Binoy Joseph was a big help and gave me a sense of relief in another wise terrible situation.
Predictably, there will be a message from the facility in response to my review - I just want to say I spoke to them during the stay. Though the gentlemen was kind, I see no evidence that calling the facility hotline made any difference. Maybe they are workng on it and will make improvements in the future, starting with hiring another psychiatrist who has the bandwidth to include the patient's family in the recovery plan, or maybe a portal where the provider and family can communicate.

Visit hours are too short of a window. Very low functioning patients on wrong units. Not enough to ensure safety from violent patients. I will give credit that they make an effort to respect pronouns, give enough snacks, credit for having soda, medicine brought to bed, having an ultrasound machine...it could be a good hospital but needs to make things safer for patients

The bathrooms are gross. Suuuuuuper boring oml and they keep you there longer than you need to be there, I was there for 13 days even though I was taking my medication, not acting out, going to group, and doing everything that was necessary. Traumatized me from how boring it was if that’s even a thing. Literally please have more activities for the patients to do, most of the day I just sat around doing nothing but watching the time pass by until the next feeding. Felt like a prison for mentally ill people. And on top of that they were trying to keep me there for 17 days. Can you believe that? Thanks to the man who made sure they didn’t do that to me I sadly forgot his name.
