Walked in with a FOUR YEAR OLD. Had to wait nearly 40 mins with three other people waiting in the lobby. This is not an emergency room. But more like a lounge with access to possible medical assistance. If you need emergency assistance, DON'T COME HERE.

On October 24, 2023, I visited the ER at St. Luke's and was seen by Dr. Jinit Patel. I was experiencing severe pain, vomiting, and diarrhea, and despite my pleas for help, Dr. Patel dismissed my symptoms and denied me any treatment or pain relief, even denying me Tylenol. Later, I learned that the pain I was experiencing was greater than a broken femur and even greater than natural childbirth without any pain killers. I was given a shot to make me stop vomiting and put in a room for a short time. I was alone and sobbing and writhing on the bed, while I could hear the staff talking and laughing. This experience left me with prolonged medical trauma and exacerbated my existing PTSD. Dr. Patel told me there was nothing they could do for me, and I would have to see a gastroenterologist for testing. He discouraged me from seeking help from any ER, saying no one else could help me. These words could have led to my death. I informed him I had an appointment in 2 weeks but that “I would not last that long.” I am deeply disturbed by the complete lack of care and empathy I received at this ER, and Dr. Patel's refusal to take my pain seriously. I knew I was going to die, so I went to another ER 3 days later, where I was finally diagnosed with an infected gallbladder and told I needed surgery immediately. Had I received proper care during my earlier visit, I wouldn’t have had to endure prolonged severe suffering, nor risked the dangerous complications associated with sepsis. I have spoken with more than 10 people who had a similar experience at St. Luke’s ER, some risking their life. I strongly advise anyone seeking medical care to avoid this ER and this doctor and seek treatment elsewhere. It’s a mystery how they can still legally operate.

Stay FAR away from this emergency room. They will stick you in a room for over two hours and no one will check in with you. The lady doctor has a smart mouth and the staff is RUDE. I watched a patient walk in AN HOUR after me, spoke to the registrar in their native language and was ushered straight to the back while her husband waited for her wristband and joked and giggled with the registrar. If you need an ER, make the drive to the St Luke’s Woodlands location. They are exceptional.

If I could choose zero stars I would! I came here in April with severe abdominal pain and zero bowl movement in 7 days. I could hear the nurse tech repeat my symptoms completely wrong to the Dr outside my door. The Dr comes in with stethoscope in hand, puts it down, doesn't ask me anything, doesn't touch me, nothing, just proceeds to tell me I'm constipated and take otc meds as if I wasn't already doing that! Days later my pcp prescribed me lactulose which they could have done there and I would have been better then instead of 17 days later!! Well now here I am at Hermann memorial having surgery getting the bowel obstruction taken care of that they could have months ago if they had bothered to actually do their job and help find the problem!

My MRI was done on September 6th and I got my results on October 20th. They don’t really care I have been suffering from severe headaches every day. My doctors office staff’s kept calling them and they didn’t had the results ready then I kept calling them and finally one day a lady called me and said patients shouldn’t be calling us it’s the doctor who should be calling. I mean I don’t understand what a poor communication is that, like no one really cares in the office I guess.

This review is for the second floor of the St. Luke's Springwood Village hospital where they perform various procedures. We had a very unfortunate experience with a particular nurse there. Even though I know her name, I'm not going to publicly disclose it because I do respect her privacy. My dad went in for a procedure. This is the very first time that he would be sedated, and naturally we were very anxious. My dad also has confirmed diagnosis of respiratory disease, which is clearly documented in his medical records. In fact he sees a St. Luke's pulmonologist. I asked the nurse if there is any way that I can ask if the medical professionals performing the procedure and the post-op care nurse will be willing to wear a mask due to his respiratory disease and the high risk of being very ill from any infections such as Covid. The nurse immediately snapped at me and stated that no one can make them wear a mask because the hospital no longer required staff to wear masks. Her reaction was so uncalled for and obviously very political in nature. I was shocked and speechless for a few seconds. First of all, I did not ask HER to wear a mask. I did not in any way demand or try to force anyone to do anything. I am of the belief that everyone has the right to choose what is best for them. I did not think that simply asking a question out of concern for my dad would have warranted such an unkind and petty response. This nurse became irate after I asked her a simple follow up question. I asked what they do for patients that are immune compromised and need extra care or precautions to be taken. You know what her response was? She said verbatim while staring me down "we have seen patients sicker than your dad." What she meant was our concerns are invalid and irrelevant and she doesn't have to answer that question. She also said that her grandparents got Covid and nothing happened to them. Okay I'm very relieved that that was the case, but what does that have to do with us? Even though Covid is not as severe as before, but a percentage of people who catch Covid can still have very severe symptoms or worse, die from it. This is fact, and I couldn't believe she was trying to tell us anecdotal stories to prove a point. I almost wanted to cry because I was just so worried about my dad and she was being so very unkind, almost callous. All I wanted was for him to be safe. But she could not hide the disdain on her face at that moment. Imagine your loved one is going in for a procedure about to be sedated and this is the nurse that is taking care of them. She showed no compassion or understanding, which is so ironic considering that St Luke's is supposed to be a Catholic establishment with Christian values. In comparison, when the anesthesiologist and the surgery nurse came in, they were so professional and had no issues with asking the other medical professionals to wear a mask as a precaution. It just made it so obvious that this selfish nurse only cares about her own politics and that she has no qualms about causing her patients undue stress and potential harm. I've just never encountered such an unethical healthcare professional. What happened to her hippocratic oath? I was hesitant to write this review for fear of retaliation if we were to go back to the hospital for any further treatment. However I thought about it long and hard, and I feel very strongly that this nurse really needs training on bedside manners, empathy, and basic medical facts. One other issue that showed the lack of care by St Luke's Springwoods Village is that they rushed us out of post-op observation without disclosing to us that my dad could potentially have trouble urinating after the sedation. So when we got home and he couldn't urinate for hours we were very concerned. I called the number that the nurse gave me many times and NO ONE ever picked up despite their claim that this was supposedly the on-call number. We received a callback 3 HOURS later telling us to contact my dad's primary care doctor. There is absolutely no accountability!!

Avoid this emergency room department if possible! ! ! Please ! !
The nighttime nurse seems to hate her job and will not treat you with care. She treated my crying baby like a huge burden she had no patience. I wouldn't trust her alone with my child. Something is very wrong with her and how she does her job. They gave my son the wrong dosage amount on his prescription and it was pointed out by the pharmacist. When I called to get the right one they were extremely rude.

Never had to call 911 from an emergency room before. 😭 A bunch of unempathetic monsters running the show over here.
I was transferred from an urgent care to here via ambulance. I Was given a haphazard swab. One circle around the rim of my nose 😮 and I knew then it wasn't done right. When I got to the E.R. they ran every test in the book for 3 days straight except a covid test even though I was pleading for them to check my thyroid, check the goiter and run a covid test. The Dr. Would not budge and ran every test for things I knew I didn't need.
Finally he came in and said "Open your mouth" looked inside and "your free to go home". I basically had to throw a fit in the hall to get the test ran....low and behold it was positive. Because of my Hashimotos, the goiter on my neck has now swollen so large I can barly swallow.
I woke up in screaming pain and laid here crying my heart out for over an hour just to get some help. I ended up having to call 911 just to get some pain relief. I feel very anxious about the lack of care or concern I've received here.

Stay away with true Emergencies!! The only helpful person was nurse Angie. I took an ambulance to the ER because I can literally not walk because of my back, they gave me pain meds, and since the pain meds weren’t helping Dr. Mitchell said there was nothing he could do to help me. Said he could possibly call St. Luke’s in the Woodlands to take me for observation but he couldn’t guarantee they would take me and there is nothing they would do he hasn’t done.He Ordered 4 shots for me to be given in my muscle. Nurse said it was weird he wouldn’t order an IV but still… they didn’t help. When I insisted I couldn’t walk still he said
My husband could help me. ( which is why we took an abundance in the first place because I can’t be lifted vertically!) after screening bloody murder when I tried to walk again not once did a doctor come check in on me! NOT ONCE. Had another ambulance service come pick me up and bring me home and try to figure out what to do now Worse experience ever with an ER.

I came here because I heard they're always quick to help, but when I got there I was in extreme pain which I stated from the beginning there were no other patients at this time so they did take me in pretty fast. The person checking my vitals tried his best and made an effort to understand what was going on. I told them I was sure I had a uti, but I wanted them to check me because like I said I was in a lot of pain. The only test they did was a urine test, no ct scan, no blood work nothing. They confirmed I had a uti and sent me home in a lot of pain only prescribing ibuprofen for pain. I told my husband I was scared they didn't do enough testing, but we left because I figured they knew what they were doing. 2 days later I was in the hospital again different hospital of course. They told me I had sepsis, kidney infection, a cyst, a stone, and an abscess that was really concerning as soon as I got to the other hospital for 5 days they gave me morphine because they could tell I was in a lot of pain. sepsis can be fatal if it's not treated... I could have died because of the carelessness of the doctor here. I will never go back nor will I recommend anyone come here.
