I honestly regret purchasing my vehicle from this dealership.
I had a **2:30 PM service appointment** and arrived at **2:48 PM**. I was late because my older cousin had **passed away just ONE HOUR before my appointment**. Despite what had just happened, I still made the effort to show up because, as a teacher, this was the **only day I had available** to bring my vehicle in. And they dont close til 4! I honest do not feel comfortable bringing my car back.
I was told they couldn't take my car because the service department was backed up. I explained my situation and that I had specifically scheduled an appointment, but there was **ZERO empathy or effort to accommodate me**.
I was then told to go somewhere else because other places were supposedly open until 5 PM. They weren't. I also explained that my oil life was at **4%**, and I was told I should have brought it in at 20%. If that's their expectation, why wasn't that communicated when I scheduled the appointment? Then John stated that it’s just for drop offs. The website doesn’t say that and it allows for you to click wait for vehicle! (Picture included)
The most frustrating part is that I had **ALREADY PREPAID FOR THE SERVICE**. If I hadn't, I would have taken my business elsewhere without thinking twice.
Things happen. People have emergencies. Customers should not have to beg a dealership for basic consideration—especially when they've made an appointment and already paid for the service.
**The lack of communication, customer service, and empathy was unacceptable.** I sincerely hope management addresses this because this experience has completely changed my opinion of this dealership.
**If you value your time and expect to be treated like a customer, think twice before doing business here.**

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m truly sorry for your loss and for the circumstances surrounding your visit.
I understand why this situation was especially difficult and upsetting.
I also understand your frustration regarding the appointment, the communication about drop-off versus waiting appointments, the oil-life expectations, and the fact that you had already prepaid for the service. Regardless of how busy the service department was, you deserved clear communication and a more compassionate response and the that only added to an already stressful situation.
I sincerely apologize that your experience left you feeling that you can no longer trust or feel comfortable returning to the dealership. Please allow me to review what happened and address the communication issues.
I will reach out to you shortly.

Thank you,
Eric Clifton
Service Director
[email protected]

The service department at this location is I brought my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 3.0L Duramax AT4X AEV to the Group 1 GMC North service department for repairs related to contaminated fuel. The truck was in their possession for approximately a month.
I was told the repairs had been completed and that they were covered under warranty, despite this actually being an insurance claim. When I arrived to pick up the truck, I was unexpectedly told I owed approximately $400 for the repairs.
Unfortunately, the experience got much worse.
Approximately four hours after leaving the dealership, my truck died and left me stranded, with the exact same problems it had been brought into the service department for in the first place.
After having my truck for an entire month, I expected the vehicle to be properly diagnosed, repaired, and thoroughly tested before being returned to me. Instead, I was left stranded just hours after picking it up.
The conflicting information regarding warranty coverage versus the insurance claim, the unexpected charge, the month-long repair time, and ultimately returning a vehicle that failed almost immediately afterward have completely destroyed my confidence in this service department.
For a nearly new, high-end AT4X AEV, this is simply unacceptable. I expected much better from a GMC dealership and would strongly recommend that anyone considering using this service department document everything and get all repair and billing information in writing before accepting their vehicle back.
I am extremely disappointed with the way this entire situation was handled.

Good morning,

Mr. Denton, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and I am sorry to hear your vehicle is not working as it should. It is my understanding that you previously had your vehicles entire fuel system and engine replaced due to fuel contamination, at an outside shop, where they were unable to properly perform the repairs which led you to bring the vehicle in to us. My advisor did state that because someone else was in there, this is not your typical repair so I do see where there could have been some confusion as to what may have been covered under warranty and what would need to be covered by insurance. I see we have already dispatched a tow truck and are bringing the vehicle in to take a look and see what's going on. Please feel free to reach out to me at your convenience to discuss further. I will be kept in the loop while your vehicle is here to be sure we are doing what we can to expedite repairs.

Thank you

David Marti Jr
Service Manager
Tel 281.897.6641
