Very apprehensive about going to Dr. for colonoscopy and upper GI endoscopy. Had bad experience with last one 6 years ago. This time I went to Methodist hospital in Clear Lake.
Nursing staff was a 10 out of 10. If I could give 10 stars I would. They made everything very comfortable from warm socks to warm blanket. Joked and laughed together set everything at ease. When I woke up the first thing I asked for was coffee. It was there in 2 minutes.

Methodist hospital in Clear Lake did an awesome job.

Went to visit my family member in ICU. Went in through the main entrance and up to the reception desk, stood there for a some time waiting. Unfortunately the receptionist couldn’t look up from the game she was playing on her phone to acknowledge me, or meet my needs. Texted another family member to find out what floor he was on and directions to his room. Didn’t get her name because she was too busy to acknowledge my existence. Poor decorum. Unfortunate start to an already unfortunate situation.

If I could give Lillian Sanchez more than five stars, I’d be bribing Google right now. This woman is not just a nurse—she's a guardian angel in scrubs, a medical wizard, and possibly part superhero. When my wife suffered a lost pregnancy and it turned into sepsis and we went around midnight or so, Lillian swooped in like a caffeine-fueled Florence Nightingale and quite literally saved her life. I swear, I half expected her to pull out a cape from under that uniform.

From the moment she walked into the room, it was like the air changed—suddenly, there was calm, competence, and just the right amount of sass to keep my wife (and me) from completely losing our minds. She handled everything with a level of care and precision that made me wonder if she secretly has eight arms like some kind of benevolent medical octopus.

She didn’t just provide treatment; she provided humanity. She made my wife feel safe, heard, and genuinely cared for. And she somehow managed to make me laugh even when I was on the verge of ugly-crying into a hospital vending machine snack.

Lillian, if you're reading this, I don’t know what kind of coffee you drink, but I owe you a lifetime supply. Thank you for being the absolute rockstar that you are. The world needs more of you, and quite frankly, you deserve a parade.

I’ve been admitted here in the past and I’ve given birth twice. The nurses here saved my life after I hemorrhaged and went into cardiac arrest after having my baby. The experiences were great.. over 10 years ago. That’s not the case anymore. The women in L&D were not the nicest, not warm at all. From check in to the back room it’s like they didn’t want me there. The OB made me feel stupid for even choosing this location over the Katy location where I had been seen previously. She was very condescending. I was only there because I was sent there from the place where I got my ultrasound done and it was closer. The only nurse that had amazing bedside manner was the one that discharged me, she made me feel more at ease in 3 minutes than any of the other women did. I’m definitely going to have to find a different hospital to deliver my baby. The ER here was also a weird situation that I don’t care to get into.

This is for the nurse Janna specifically. I usually have nothing but positive things to say about Baytown Methodist Hospital—it’s one of the best hospitals around and I’ve always had great experiences here. However, I need to call out the poor care my mom received from Nurse Janna. She was inattentive, dismissive, and took hours to respond when my mom needed assistance. Even when she did come, she would not follow through or bring back what was requested. It was extremely frustrating to see such a lack of compassion and urgency when my mom was in clear need of care.

This does not reflect the high standard of care that Baytown Methodist is known for, and I truly hope this is addressed so that other patients and families don’t experience the same.

I came to the ER with severe abdominal pain. Once checked in, they triaged me immediately and ordered testing. My testing confirmed that I would need surgery. Dr. Uffort was the general surgeon on call and is an absolute gem! He answered all of my questions and explained everything in detail. He spent at least 30min with me going over everything, which I don't feel is very common. This made me so calm and comfortable about my upcoming procedure. My ER nurse Alice was attentive and kind and she really tried making me as comfortable as she could while I waited to be moved to my room. My floor nurse Iliana, my pre op nurse Bailey, PACU nurse, and OR team were all simply amazing and I'm so grateful for all of them. I was well taken care of during my stay because I had a top notch care team who were all highly skilled in their jobs. I definitely recommend this hospital to anyone in need of care.

If I could zero stars I would. My wife was transferred there and the whole experience was terrible. From the doctors not listening to her problems, to the total lack of concern from the nurses. She had been here before and it was a good hospital, but after this experience we will never go here again. I could write for the next 30 minutes about how bad it was but just avoid this hospital if you can
