1st I would like to say every single time I have taken my wife there the nurses have been amazing, caring, and appear to be there for the purpose of taking care and understanding the patients. HOWEVER... when we walked in last night we saw 2 patients walking out in tears and in pain.. clearly upset. Then we go in and got a great nurse and was hopeful. Then the Dr comes in. DR. YANG did not do ANY evaluation. Did not check her heart, lunges, touch where the pain was.. anything. He had the nurse draw blood Then 45 mins later came back in to say " everything looks great.. you pulled a muscle". STILL did not lay 1 finger on her to evaluate and clearly did not look at her results as he would have seen that several items in her results was not normal. He just dismissed us like we are looking for meds and not looking for a problem. Now I see why the other 2 people left in tears! The bad part now? Because of his lack of competence.. he did not bother to see my wife needed urgent emergent care that has resulted in her needing much further emergent health care. None of which we will bring to memorial Herman now due to the fact if this is the dr they hire, we do not want to trust OUR LIVES in his hands. Sorry for the long review but clearly people need to know what to expect if they are looking for true honest help.

Our insurance provider changed last January, and the new provider covered our emergency within a day. Yet we are still being harassed by collection agency a year later. I even stopped in person to confirm. Now I must time a year later to print everything, out, send docs. They need to get it together. .Maybe the collection agency is a scam. I wouldn't know because Memorial Herman's line just hangs up. c

Haven’t been able to get a hold of someone about my insurance claim in weeks. Nobody returns my calls and the customer service line is equally unhelpful. Everyday I think my brain is going to explode because I need the surgery center to send off my medical records to my insurance company. Why won’t anyone answer the phone?!

Patient: 80 year old male for a simple cataract .
The staff was not nice or cooperative. My dad was taken back for surgery at 9am from a 7am appointment and surgery did not start until 12.30pm after I asked to talk to a nurse because he was not in surgery yet. Put in mind he hasn't eaten or drank anything from the night before.
And honestly they could have just changed the monitors to keep me silent without actually taking him to surgery !! Because his doctors office mentioned he will be the last patient that day,
but when they changed his status to In OR on the monitor there was another patient still waiting in pre op, so I don't know who to beleive!

We were required to be at the surgery center at 6:30 AM on Feb 24th, 2022. The temperature outside on this day was approximately 50F, the temperature in the waiting room was under 60F (no way I could measure it exactly). We sat there for 4 hours waiting for admittance along with others all of whom were wearing their coats to keep warm. Finally going into Pre-op, I commented that it was really cold in the waiting room and the nurse attending said, "yes the colder it is outside, the colder it is in the surgery center." Even the medical staff in the surgical area were wearing sweaters and sometimes gloves. It's unbelievable that a supposed hi-tech medical facility can't handle simple climate control, and I believe it would be difficult for the nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to perform their duties in an environment like this.

Had surgery there in December 2021. Liked the staff, they were all very nice. Long wait (which can be understandable), in a crowded waiting room. What is driving this review is really that after paying the bill in full, I requested a detailed summary of the bill. It was not sent. I requested it again and it was not sent. It is it now 4 weeks after my first request, and it has not been provided. I have made a 3rd request. Phone staff has been very professional, but this is really unacceptable.

3/17/22 Update: Reached out to the email address provided in the response and after 2 weeks, no response.

My Momma who has trouble seeing, and trouble walking had a X-Ray today. It was scheduled and while scheduling I advised them she would need assistance until she got to the back. The person (Tonna) who checks you in was outright rude. I tried to explain to the receptionist this information and she asked me if I had a medical POA, which my Momma does not need. She then preceded to tell me I had to leave the waiting room and go outside. When I asked her to call her supervisor (which I doubt she did), she then preceded to tell me he did not answer. All I wanted was to make sure my momma got her papers signed and to the back safely and the lady was more than rude. Receptionist are supposed to be the face of Memorial Hermann, I have now lost all respect for the imagining department of Hermann at Kingwood CCC. I have never in my life been treated so disrespectful by someone who should have been kind as I never once was rude to her. I was firm because I wanted to make sure my momma was okay until her X-Ray time.

The front staff is making it very hard for me to continue my care there. Appointments are changed without knowledge and then you are treated like you aren't the patient and the staff is the victim. I

Surgery center was wonderful. People amazing.
Your security is worthless. Security guard watched as people stole our catalytic converter while I was in surgery. Even told us it was an orange Dodge Charger. Wondering if he gets a cut. Horrible!

Our last visit was not so good. We spend three hours to hear that the doctor is not able to help us and spend $$$.
