I had to call a mobile mechanic to service my daughter's car because it wouldn't start, even though it would crank. When I called the company, the person who answered said he would be there in 10 minutes, but he didn’t show up on time. I had to call several times to check if he was coming, and he finally arrived after a long wait of 1.5 hours.
When he got there, he popped the hood and asked me to try starting the car, but it still wouldn’t start. He then took out a probe from his van to diagnose the issue. After a while, he told me there was nothing he could do because it seemed like an electrical or exhaust system issue, and he charged me $30. The main problem wasn’t solved, which was frustrating since I called him to fix it.
I had to call another mobile mechanic to get it resolved. This second mechanic showed up on time and quickly figured out that the car was out of fuel. He went to get some gas, partially filled the tank, and the car started right away. It turned out that someone had stolen the fuel from her car during the night.
Nick's Mobile Mechanic failed to diagnose this simple issue and was no help at all. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone—they’re just a rip-off.
