My experience at the facility’s ER was actually pretty good. However, the medicine I was prescribed for my medical emergency was “stuck in their system” and never made it to the pharmacy… no estimate was given regarding when it would be processed.

Update: Turns out nothing was sent from their end to the pharmacy. So, they miscommunicated (lied) to me.

Everyone was really wonderful! Erica was the lady that did my bone density scan, and she was very sweet and kind and made sure that I was comfortable, and told me how long it would take. We talked while she was doing the scans, and she believes in Jesus just like I do, so I got to tell her about the miracle of my scoliosis going away. We also had help from a guy that worked in X-ray with our transfer. He was very sweet and very helpful! I would definitely go back and feel very comfortable since I am in a wheelchair and don't always know where I will be going if it will be accessible or how well I will be taken care of.

This the best hospital I have ever visited in the Houston area. The quick response from the registration office to the prompt response from the nurses to attend to us was awesome . All the staff especially the CNA’s at the skilled Nursing facility wore sweet smiles on their faces and were so very eager to assist.
Thank you 🙏 so much OakBend medical center Jackson street.
I will recommend you to everyone.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who cared for me at OakBend Medical Center on Saturday, June 2026, while I was in the ER and Room 509.
From the moment I arrived, I was attended to immediately, and the charge or triage nurse activated a Code Neuro without delay. Throughout my stay, I received exceptional care, kindness, and professionalism from everyone I encountered.
I want to recognize the gentleman who I believe was Dr. Muhammad Nauman Tarar, MD. He came into my room and ordered my injection prior to my MRI. He was extremely professional, kind, and positive. His reassuring attitude brought comfort during a stressful time. I happened to recognize the distinctive scent of Creed cologne, a refined fragrance that suited him perfectly and reflected the same attention to detail and excellence that he brought to his work. I also want to recognize Faith, who was wonderful and provided excellent care.
Although I don't remember everyone's names, I want the hospital to know that every single person I encountered made a difference.
The lady who cleaned my room was very kind and pleasant.
The young lady who brought my meals was excellent and always courteous.
The dietary staff did an excellent job. The meals were well presented, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared.
The person who wheeled me out when I was discharged was friendly and caring. Every nurse, doctor, technician, and staff member treated me with compassion and respect.
I truly felt that everyone cared about me, and I could not have asked for better treatment.
Please share my gratitude with the entire team on the 5th floor, the ER staff and everyone involved in my care. They should all know how much their hard work, kindness, and professionalism are appreciated.
Thank you all for making a frightening experience much easier. You are all a blessing, and I will never forget the outstanding care I received.

Terrible.. the nurses were not attentive. The doctors would barely come talk to you and once they did they would not tell you anything about tests or what was wrong with you. Worst hospital ever.

Excellent staff! Wonderful people who CARE and do their jobs to the best of their ability. Every time myself or my family has gone, they have done their due diligence and then some in making sure we get the care we need.

This place was atrocious I would not take my pet. There it was the worse medical treatment I have ever received and I don't know how they are legally allowed to stay open.
