⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 100/100 Stars!
I had the absolute BEST experience at Patients Emergency Room. From the moment I arrived, every single staff member went above and beyond to make sure I was cared for, comfortable, and at ease. The entire team showed so much kindness, empathy, and professionalism—it truly made all the difference.
A very special shout-out to my amazing nurse, Destiny, who cared for me throughout my second day. She was incredible—listened closely, supported me in advocating for myself, and made sure I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. Nurses like her are rare gems, and I can’t thank her enough for the genuine compassion she showed.
Another huge thank you to Dr. Charles, who showed such great empathy. He truly felt like a caring father—patient, kind, and comforting. He helped me feel at peace with my decision to stay at the hospital, and that kind of reassurance meant the world to me.
And a big shout-out to Nurse Dana as well—she held my hand through the administration of a medication I had never had before, and stayed with me after every dose to make sure I was okay. That level of care and presence was so comforting, and I am beyond grateful. 💕
This team turned what could have been a stressful experience into one filled with comfort and reassurance. To all the staff: THANK YOU for being the absolute best! If I could give more than 100 stars, I would. 🌟

I love this facility and its staff. I’m hard headed and it takes me a lot to drag myself to a doctor, but Everytime I do I’m reminded of why I come here. They always listen and do their best to get you right. There’s a certain nurse with tattoos I seem to get most times I’ve come for myself. He’s personable and an excellent listener and care taker! I truly appreciate his bedside manner.

I can’t say enough good things about this incredible ER! I’ve visited several times for various unexpected reasons and have consistently received exceptional care. From the front desk staff to the doctors—and everyone in between—I was treated with professionalism, kindness, and thorough attention. The facility is spotless, and the snack selection is a thoughtful touch. I truly wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.

I started having some extreme abdominal pain while I was at work and I initially started to go to a local urgent care until a coworker recommended Patients ER due to his experience and it possibly being my appendix. Come to find out it was my appendix and I needed an appendectomy. Had I went to a bigger hospital, I wholeheartedly believe I wouldn't have received the same prompt care I received at Patients. In less than 24 hours from initial check in, I was having the necessary procedure to remove my appendix. I'm thankful to have chosen Patients for my medical needs.

The whole team was great but Dr. Rene Garza was beyond amazing. He ruled out the initial diagnosis we had in our head. He explained everything well and actually showed he cared. He was a blessing in disguise for us and he doesn’t know it. A thank you is just not enough. The world needs more people like him.

Thank you for your kind words! We will pass along your sweet message to him. 🥰🥰
Went in for bad cramping while being early in my pregnancy. They made me feel so good and normal about coming in for my concerns. So genuine and nice and one of the ladies hugged me because she could clearly see i was very overwhelmed and nervous. We need more places like this, thank yall!

I have been here several times with my kids and never EVER had any problems until I brought my husband Tuesday night. I brought him in due to severe abdominal pain and pain in his groin. They brought him back and immediately started his ultrasound and gave him medicine. The medicine didn’t help, but that wasn’t the problem. We sat there for 5 hours and left with no answers. After being there for 3 hours they gave him more pain medicine which did help, and then did a CT scan. When the doctor came in to talk to us he gave us no answers and even told my husband “I’m not saying it’s in your head” after he expressed the amount of pain he was in and we both expressed our concern with his symptoms. He was VERY rude and didn’t seem to care at all. We will never go back there again.

I have been using Patients since they open and I’ve been a returning patient since I can remember, after this morning I will not be using them anymore. Look, I get the whole state law issues with pain medicine, but when you are in so much pain (from a prostatectomy) and all you want is a clarification on a mix up of meds that were said to have been called in that weren’t only to be ridiculed and to be made to feel as a junky off the streets, it’s time to move on and find an ER with a little more compassion. The doctor I spoke to this morning has the worst way of speaking to a patient that is only trying to figure out a mixup from last nights shift. I get it, it wasn’t her who made the mix up but it should have been just as easy as that and fixed the issue not being spoken to the way she did. I have been to the emergency room 3 times since my prostatectomy for my pain because it is like something I have never experienced and you would think a doctor would understand that and try their best to minimize that in any form, she had that opportunity and failed miserably. I hate this because I love Nurse Jerry, me and that man had the greatest conversation of going through the same procedure and I’ll miss being able to have a chance to have more of those with him as I will not be using this ER anymore. To the owner or management of this ER, if you have a patient that is in so much pain that not even two different doses of
Dilaudid did absolutely nothing then that should tell professional la something. If you (patients er) can see that then it should be your duty help your patient find something or someone who can so we can all move forward amicably. From MD Anderson who did my surgery to Patients they have failed me and all of makes me feel as if it’s one big money making scheme. “We can’t give you this for your excruciating pain, but you can definitely come here as many times as you want for a quick “relief” of the pain, but don’t dare ask for anything to take home because you will be made to feel like a terrible person. This location needs better patient advocacy training, well at least the doctor from this morning. Jerry, I’m definitely going to miss any future conversations we could have had.
To add, I went ahead and canceled anything they called me in. You want me to manage it out on my own, you got it. It’s better than the alternative of being made to feel as a junky.
If you are a patient with severe pain, stay away from this place. If you’re a patient wanting simple explanations of mixups, stay away from this ER. I swear I remember them being the absolute best ER, I drove a good ways because of it. No more. Thanks for hearing my rant.

I have always had a good experience at this location until this past Tuesday March 18,2025. I took my wife she had bad fever, stomach pain, chills, feeling fatigue and dehydrated. She got tested and was told she had an UTI and nothing else and my wife also mentioned that she felt dehydrated and if she could get an IV started to get some hydration, but the Dr ( can not remember her name) was rushing to get us out since they needed rooms. She did get an IV ordered and infront of us told the nurse “ I got an IV ordered for her, I guess the other people in the lobby will have to wait since she decided she wanted to get an IV”. 4 days later we are in a different hospital and to find out that she has a Gallbladder infection and gallbladder stones and she needs surgery to remove her gallbladder. I just wished the Dr. at Patients ER could have been more understanding and did a bit more testing instead of rushing to try and get us out.

I have had the privilege of receiving care at Patients and have consistently found it to be one of the most outstanding emergency rooms I have encountered. However, during a recent visit, I was deeply disappointed by the lack of diligence and compassion exhibited by a particular physician. Unfortunately, I do not recall her name, but she is a middle-aged, slim, Caucasian female with a seemingly bitter demeanor and a noticeable lack of empathy toward her patients.
As someone with Crohn’s disease who has experienced numerous severe and life-threatening flare-ups, I am well aware of what my body requires and the typical recommendations of my gastroenterologist. When I advocated against this physician’s suggested course of treatment, she became visibly frustrated and maintained this attitude throughout my entire visit. This experience was not reflective of the high standard of care I have come to expect from Patients, and unfortunately, it was not an isolated incident.
My younger sister recently sought emergency care for severe abdominal pain but was initially turned away due to her inability to pay the upfront fee, as she does not have health insurance. Her pain worsened, and she was only able to return once she had secured a form of payment. Despite her visible distress—crying and writhing in excruciating pain—she was denied pain medication under the assumption that her symptoms were cannabis-induced. She was ultimately sent home without adequate treatment.
The following morning, as her pain persisted, I personally called to request a prescription for some form of relief. However, I was informed that the attending physician was not in the office that morning and was subsequently denied assistance. I have previously been prescribed medication after leaving the facility, so this response was particularly concerning. After extensive discussion with a nurse, she was finally able to secure a prescription—though only for nausea medication. The nurse was kind and understanding, in stark contrast to the physician who had treated my sister.
As my sister’s condition deteriorated, we were informed that the only way she could receive treatment was by returning to the ER and once again paying a substantial fee. Given that she is uninsured, this posed a significant financial burden. Furthermore, as she was in severe distress and unable to advocate for herself, and my mother does not speak English, I was once again forced to communicate on her behalf through her nurse. The nurse displayed great empathy and professionalism, but it required persistent pleading before my sister was provided with any form of pain relief. Ultimately, she was discharged with only nausea medication and dicyclomine for spasms—yet no medication to alleviate her severe pain.
Regrettably, my sister’s condition worsened over the following weeks. Last night, she was readmitted to the ER and diagnosed with a severe kidney infection that has now spread to her back and other areas of her body. This outcome could have been entirely avoided had the initial physician conducted the necessary testing and taken her symptoms seriously. Due to this physician’s negligence and poor judgment, my sister now requires hospitalization to receive proper medical treatment.
I do want to add that her physician last night was nothing short of amazing. He showed every ounce of empathy and did everything in his ability to make sure my sister was comfortable and got a proper diagnosis.
I am deeply disappointed by the lack of appropriate care provided in these instances. While I have great respect for the facility as a whole, this experience highlights a serious concern regarding the quality of care and medical decision-making by certain providers. I sincerely hope that steps are taken to address these issues to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
