What an awesome place. Each room has a progress board with their pledge of Comfort, professionalism and respect and they delivered exactly that each and every day. Each team member had a part in helping me get stronger but a few stood out.
1)Nate- The first member of the physicatl therapy team that I met and he was professional and thorough but he was an especially nice guy.We shared an emotional moment when I took some steps without assistance and it was obvious how much he cared.
2)Lisa- I first met her when she was tasked with helping me shower as part of my occupational therapy. She went above and beyond her job duties to help me me and I appreciate her help immensely. She cares about her patients and has an awesome personality that I appreciated being in a hospital type setting.
3) Alexis- She was my nurse on several occasions and she definitely stood out with her compassionate and thorough care.She loves her job and does it well.
4)Carol- Was my case manager and from the beginning I could tell she not only loved her job but she did it well. She kept me informed on my case at all times and helped facilitate my discharge to avoid inclement weather that was supposed to happen the day I was supposed to leave.
5) Dr. Majewski- This guy is everywhere dang near every day. He makes a point of checking in with his patients face to face not by phone and not by sending someone else to see how we were doing. He's the kind of guy I want as my Dr he took the time to check on all of his patients and listened to any concerns we may have had.
Everyone that I dealt with was very kind and helpful but these folks I mentioned really made my stay a positive one.
When I was checking out I was taken by one of the gyms to ring the bell and after I did there was a group of therapists doing their follow up ,they all clapped but Nate and Lisa came over and gave me a hug and shook my hand while giving me a few last words of encouragement which I appreciated a lot more than they probably know. I had already decided to say something here before this moment about Nate and Lisa and this showed why they really helped me more than they know.
I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who needs physical or occupational therapy they care about their patients.
I was always treated like like a person not just a number which is rare.

I had a wonderful experience at Encompass. The entire staff were very friendly and caring. The therapy program was very intense and vigorous but well worth it. They pushed me to make sure once I got home I would be able to take care of myself. I am very grateful for this facility. I had a horrible experience at my previous rehab so Encompass was a breathe of fresh air! I highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants real rehabilitation!!

Horrible. Especially compared to their other facility at The Woodlands
My mother broke her hip and came here, even though I asked the salesperson to send her to The Woodlands facility.
Then the facility kept the catheter in causing potential of infection simply because they didn't want to have to help her to the bathroom, even though the orthopedist wrote orders to remove it.

Then they wanted to discharge her even though she hasn't been able to stand on her own or walk on her own. And tell me she has no more Medicare days left, even though she does.

When I ask she be transferred to the other facility, they tell me they can't transfer her. They can. They are violating her patient rights. Don't send your loved one here. send them to the other facility.

3 weeks ago, I was knock, knock, knocking on heaven's door.
Respiratory failure, passed out in my home oxygen level 53%. Woke up in ICU. Conroe hospital. After 2 weeks of 24hr. care I was sent to Encompass for rehab.
Hard to believe laying in bed for over a week I could no longer walk, both scary and emotional.
Never needing rehabilitation this was a road not traveled. It didn't take long to understand the staffs job was to get me strong as well as watch my vitals. Dr. Agana, nurse Jon,
nurse Jamie..she's too cool ! case mgr McFarren, and most of all my trainers whom I fell in love with, Jen, Max, and Brandon. These 3 are the reason I'm leaving here tomorrow walking on my own 2 legs. They are extremely knowledgeable and loaded with human empathy. One more kudo..the kitchen. food is great, staff always accepting off menu request. Nuff said,
Highly recommend this rehab facility.

My Mother was admitted to encompass health on Nov 15th and was permanently removed on Nov 22nd. During that time she was badly mistreated, her chart, prescriptions, and allergens ignored, and each day I saw her she was more bruised than the last. She was sent from encompass back to the hospital 3 times do to the incompetence of the nurses and medical staff who are wildly incapable of caring for anyone who suffered a stroke. I will be filling a complaint with the Texas medical board.

My husband Spent 11 days in Post Op Rehab. AMAZING CARE TEAM! Round the clock excellent care and rehab. They give a whole person focus and address every area of need!!! Beginning to end. They have also cared for other family members over the years and gave excellent care and rehab!!!

My husband was admitted on September 17th. Non- mobile and un able to do anything for himself. The PT Staff and OT Staff worked with him and kept pushing him. Our case manager Carol went above and beyond to work with our insurance company to give him more time. Today my husband walked up and rang the bell!! You won't find a more caring or compassionate staff. You can really tell everyone here loves their job and they actually care about their patients! Thank you Encomapss you guys are amazing!

Encompass was high on our list for therapy for my 91 year old father with Parkinson's Disease because, as I was told in the initial interview, they are Parkinson's certified. The communication is excellent and for the most part, the staff is pleasant and quite helpful. The issue was that my father was given Haldol because he was deemed "combative". This is one of the drugs that is NOT to be given to Parkinson's patients as they most certainly should have been aware as being Parkinson's "certified". This lead to a downward spiral resulting in my father being sent to the ER in an unresponsive state. The ER doctor gasped when he found out what was given to him. At 91, bed ridden and with Parkinson's I would have expected that his uncooperativeness would have been dealt with patience and kindness, and if necessary, a drug that was in line with his condition. I did report this but have had no further communication with the facility, and would have gladly shared on a survey but never received one. This hospital is a wonderful resource for our community - but please be diligent if your loved one has any kind of a special condition.

I do not recommend this facility. The physical therapists were good but the nursing staff and doctors left A LOT to be desired. Overall, the facility is older and dark - feels like an old hospital. I wish it had been brighter. The rooms were not private and small, so patients were basically on top of each other, with no space for a visitor. And you could hear everything going on in the rooms around. During my mom's stay, COVID prevented visitors for the first 7 or 8 days but then pulled back to allow 1 per patient per day. I didn't really feel welcomed as a visitor when I was finally allowed in, but that was all my mom really wanted - to see a familiar face. All that being said, the biggest problem was that my mom ended up back in the emergency room the day after she was discharged, because there was an infection they didn't see. She had multiple nights of internal med issues but the docs/nurses chalked it up to healing. She wasn't healing - she was still sick! I don't expect the general doctor to be an expert in everything, but he only came around a few days out of the week and should have referred her back to her medical team at the hospital she came from when there were issues. Overall, the 12 days she spent here were a waste of time in my mom's medical journey.

This is such a great place! Their communication with the family has been so great. I get a phone call every day from his case manager. They have managed every detail of his care at home for when he is released, even going so far as to make his doctor's appointments. My dad is 81 with a terminal illness, and he told me his time at the rehab hospital has been the best days he's had in a very long time. He always sounds so happy when I talk to him. We would highly recommend Encompass!
