Excellent first-class hospital, excellent care from the emergency room to all the staff, receptionists, nurses, and surgeons, especially Dr. Ata Ahmad and Dr. Ronak Patel. Not forgetting the food delivery and preparation staff. EVERYONE is very kind and friendly. Despite the difficult circumstances one might face while there, they make you feel very welcome.
So grateful that another amazing ER was around the corner. The front desk lady was so hostile that I’m surprised she still has a job there. My mom and I went in with a referral. Right off the bat I could tell she was annoyed. She refused to even acknowledge my existence, asking my mom everything even though I was right there and capable. She told her I had a referral for an ultrasound for possible DVT (very grateful that it wasn’t, who knows what could’ve happened to me if it was). She asked for the phone number and when my moms didn’t work I suggested we try mine. Without even looking at me she said it couldn’t be mine since I was a minor (my phone is paid by my parents therefore still making it their number even if I’m the one who uses it). She continuously refused to try mine. She very much had a “shut up kid, the adults are talking” mentality. We then called the office to see if the referral had been sent and they said it was. Once again with my moms phone number it didn’t work. My mom said to try mine and told her my phone number, surprise surprise there it was. Regardless of it was allowed to be used or not, I find it very unprofessional that she wasn’t even willing to try it just in case. She then tried to tell my mom that we couldn’t do a walk in and had to make an appointment. My mom explained we do not want to wait and are willing to just make an ER visit out of pocket if needed. She kept repeating we had to make an appointment. After my mom said numerous times we just want an ER visit she then told us they don’t even do ultrasounds there. Why wouldn’t she have said that in the first place? Oh, because it’s a lie. My own mother has gotten an ultrasound done there before. When we told a doctor from the other ER they were also confused because they know that they do ultrasounds there too. She kept making excuse after excuse on why they couldn’t take us. Not sure why she had some vendetta against us. She might as well have just told us off the bat she wanted us to leave. I would give this place a 0 star if I could and even that is generous. Save yourself the time and go to Memorial Herman where they actually care about their patients, I will be switching to that hospital

There are some fantastic nurses here who go above and beyond the call of duty! Katherine "Katie" was so good to my mom. She was kind and gentle and truly caring. She would take the time to make sure my mom had everything she needed and that she felt comfortable and cared for. Most everyone who had contact with my mom or who came into her room, including housekeeping and nutrition, were incredibly thoughtful and kind.
There was a phlebotomist who helped mom many times while she was in the ER who was the loveliest lady, I wish I knew her name.
The one thing I would critique is for caregivers to please only use the word "diaper" when taking care of a baby or a child. When caring for an adult, help the patient to maintain some dignity by using the term "brief," or anything other than "diaper."
Choosing what word you use may seem petty to those who don't have to wear one, but it can have a huge impact on the adult patient who does. What a beautiful gift you would be giving your patients just by choosing words that help them to maintain their dignity. Something so simple, yet so impactful.
Thank you for taking such great care of my mom while she was a patient in your ER, and then after being admitted to the 2 North hall.

Beautiful building.
Patient care is severely lacking!
Long response times. Doctors don't communicate with family in a timely manner.
I expected better from this industry leader.

This hospital is fantastic. Been there for care for son and wife. Everyone from check in to nursing staff and doctors are excellent and you feel a genuine sense of caring from their employees.
The nurses and the doctors are great! Unfortunately this is my second visit here but great-fully they all have been so kind. Yes, you do fill out paperwork first they need your info. Both times my wait time has been less than 20 minutes. They do all the testing necessary to make you feel at ease.
I read another review about the patient leaving still unwell. This is normal. They are not going to leave you 100%. This is an emergency room meaning life or death situations. You also have to understand that your body has to do what it has to do to get better so give it time and if it doesn’t you need to see a specialist which the ER DR will recommend. People don’t understand this part.

I'm telling anyone who goes up to this hospital to avoid this woman I've attached her photos down below. If you see her as your nurse or doctor. Please ask for care from another. This woman worked front desk and was unnecessarily, unreasonably, RUDE!!! She had to help this older man, walking up to the desk, to get checked in. She proceeds "checking in?" And a few literal SECONDS!!, SECONDS!! Went by and she's rasing her voice at him "SIR, THIS IS A HOSPITAL. ARE YOU CHECKING IN?" Then me and my bf go in to get checked in ourselves, The process goes by, and she asked me what I'm there for, I told her I had some kinda tonsillitis, or something. As it being a hospital, I OFFERED to show the photo , BEFORE I EVEN GOT THE CHANCE TO TOUCH MY PHONE!!!!!! and SHOULD YOU NOT THIS WOMAN, THROWS HER HAND UP, TURNS HER HEAD AND VERY VERY VERVYYY RUDLY TO GO " I DONT WANNA SEE THAT GO SIT DOWN!!" excuse you woman???? You don't belong in this hospital, this hospital is full of sweet and caring people and you’re definitely NOT one of them. Methodist.
DO SOMETHING!!! You claim to care about your patients right? So GO DO SOMETHING
