Haven’t been able to get a hold of someone about my insurance claim in weeks. Nobody returns my calls and the customer service line is equally unhelpful. Everyday I think my brain is going to explode because I need the surgery center to send off my medical records to my insurance company. Why won’t anyone answer the phone?!

This hospital is unorganized and slow! Took my wife to the ER as she was having chest pains and she is 6 months pregnant and we sat in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours.. I have no triage system here. They have no urgency. And lack of Infrastructure to simply house the patients in the ER. This place is an absolute nightmare do not come here.

Conscious way Forward

The rudest receptionist. She was condescending and didn't want to be asked a question that needed extra effort. Her attitude was, take what I tell you or leave. She repeated the same statement like I didn't understand the first time. I thought she couldn't understand my question or hear me since I'm wearing a mask which was mandatory, and I'm okay with that. I lowered my mask slightly to make sure she heard me correctly; she just spoke in a very demeaning way commanding that I pull the mask back up. How does a receptionist that represents a big hospital speak to patients and visitors this way? Is she superior to the rest of the human beings? Her answers were very negative and unhelpful to every question I asked. Our questions were all to do with finding out about scheduling because my daughter starts school next week, and we were trying to figure out how to fit physical therapy into her schedule so she could avoid missing school as much as possible.

We took my toddler in to get evaluated for a concussion. After a very brief conversation with the doctor, it was determined she was fine and we should not proceed with a CT scan. We went home and all was well. Weeks later we were billed $3,000. For a 10 minute conversation with the doctor. She received no medicine, no imaging, no specialized care by the doctor. Nothing. Not one thing beyond the basic vitals check performed by the nurse. And apparently this warrants $3,000.

Needed CT scan for kidney stones... the best experience EVER. Check-in fast, easy, staff was polite, helpful even walked me back to scan area, personally, answered all questions with understanding and empathy. Have had a difficult time coordinating new insurance, new Dr., referrals, etc so this was so refreshing to see. 90% of the time, someone involved in this process, either doesn't do their job or makes an error and I have to fix it. Not here. Could not have received better service at this facility.
The main office/appointment/insurance via phone needs a little work. I kept getting reminders they had received CT scan order from my Dr and I needed to set up appt AFTER I set up appt, one lady told me My insurance not in network (after I had approval letter from my insurance) rudely argued with me but next 2 reps saw her notes and verified she was wrong???? Not big deal but they do need to upgrade auto system when appt is made.

I was actually afraid to come here because of the reviews, but I didn’t have a choice as other urgent cares and ERs around me would be closed after I got off work. Also my insurance hadn’t started covering me yet and I had no money to pay upfront at regular urgent cares. So as a test run to see if I should just deal with my pain (AKA ignore it and keep it moving), I went inside before work since my bus stop was right next to it.
I see what everyone was talking about with the security guard enforcing the masks but it’s a hospital, whatever (and thank god because I ended up being sick with strep the next day anyways). I didn’t have to talk to him after because I was going to the ER section, but he was nice nonetheless. The lady at the front was very sweet and assured me she’d be there after I got off work to check me in.
The lady kept her promise and had me sat in front of a doctor almost immediately, barely finished my paperwork and the doctor (Alicia I think) diagnosed me pretty quick. Funny enough I haven’t been in a Memorial Hermann since I was 5 and they still had all my info. Had me in and out with a prescription in under an hour. I can’t speak for other’s bad experiences but my own was positive, especially being my first time having to go alone. Very sweet staff and very quick.

If there was a rating above 5 i would give to this place. We had our first baby delivered there 10 days ago, and everything went perfect from the moment we checked in to the moment we had been discharged. The nurses were very kind, sweet, helpful and very professional. I can't even remember that i had any complaint with anything . We loved the place and we made great memories there. If we will be having a second baby, we will go there again

Do not go to this ER. They will refuse to treat you and tell you to go to your primary care doctor. The nurses Emily and Jessica were super rude and condescending.

My neighbor had COVID and kept coming back to this ER multiple times and they kept sending him home. When they finally saw him they put him on a dirty ventilator, he got some strange bacteria from the machine and passed away. I should’ve learned from his experience and never had gone there.

My husband (a white guy) had been seen the day before for COVID and was able to see a doctor and was prescribed the antiviral meds. Me (a fat brown Hispanic female) was refused a doctor. The nurse Emily as soon as she saw me just bursted out saying “why are you here? You don’t have an emergency, go see you primary care doctor” she didn’t even let me explain to her why I was there. She wouldn’t even let me get a word through, I had to yell at her and tell her to back off. I felt attacked by this lady. I told her that I had called the nurse line and I was told that the urgent care wouldn’t see symptomatic COVID positive patients that I had to go to the ER or to a Memorial Hermann convenient care center. I googled for convenient care centers and the location on northwest frwy came up as one. She said that the nurse line always says that. I told her about my husband and she said that “that’s not how it works here” I requested to see a doctor, Emily just walked away and left me there for hours. No one came to check on me, not even vitals. I went out to use the rest room and stopped at the nurse station asking what the plan was. Jessica told me I was being discharged. I told her I requested to see a doctor and she said no, that I was stable and was being discharged. I went out to the front office to file a complaint but all they did was take my name and number and told me a costumer relations partner would call me.

In short DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL OR ER!
