This hospital killed my sister!!! They misdiagnosed her and placed her in ICU telling me to place her in hospice. I told dr Moodley to take her off heavy sedation and she might wake up. This doctor got upset with me but did it anyway asking for my POA ( Power of Attorney) and when I showed it the POA I had was rejected. They wouldn’t let me make decisions that were safe but wanted to experiment on her. There were scars on her hands and wrists…blisters on her hands and wrists. After placing the PEG tube in her a few days ago( I refused it) and discovered yesterday my sister vomited up her food and her heart stopped!! I can’t stop crying. They wanted to discharge her a few days before she died and now this. The doctors and nurses are incompetent and neglectful and always on their cell phones. Because of her state I asked for constant monitoring, a tv monitor be left in her room and her door to remain open. They did not do it and I’m left with the hurt and pain!!!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, I am super sad to say that I had THE WORST experience for labor and delivery. If you are a first time mom and considering in delivering here I would run the other way, for being a first time mom and going thru this hospital my experience was HORRIFIC. To start off the staff were not very attentive, and not to friendly. The staff were bothered by questions I had and it seemed like they didn’t even like their job, which is a shocker bc why are you working in this field if you don’t even like it. The building itself was under construction so after I had my baby they were loud drilling right beneath us which startled my newborn. They didn’t even bring any breakfast the next day after I gave birth, after I hadn’t eaten the whole day before (which is understandable since I was delivering)but thankfully I had family bring me and husband food. But PLEASE don’t consider this place to give birth, I really wish someone could have told me before so I wouldn’t had gone to this horrific experience. I cry just thinking of how my experience went as a first time mom in this hospital, very devastated.

Staff offered no help in transferring prescriptions to a different pharmacy, I ultimately had to pay double due to their unwillingness to offer any support.

Came to the er bc my primary care doctor is upstairs. Expressed to the nurse Brittany that I was feeling ill and anxious like I was having an anxiety attach. She looked me in my face and told me they could not help me. As soon as I got a room I left and called 911 expressing how they were not helping and I was in the middle of a mental health crisis, instead of them providing me with care they called cps and took me to a mental health hospital. The mental health hospital did not help they were literally just exploiting people and helping homeless people get their checks. So I’m back again to see my doctor to start at square one a week later. All and all if you have anxiety depression or any mental health issues don’t come here bc they won’t help they will just call cps to say you’re an unfit parent but fail to mention that you have been in their office for three weeks straight asking for help

I visited Memorial Hermann Southeast ER last night due to severe, unbearable right-side flank pain.
Unfortunately, the front desk staff, particularly Yolanda, was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Despite my obvious distress, she raised her voice at me and my sister and stated there was no triage available. Other patients were calmly waiting, yet I was the only one unable to stand or speak clearly.
ER staff should treat patients with urgency and respect, especially those in visible pain. If a facility cannot properly prioritize emergencies or uphold basic standards of professionalism, it is deeply concerning. Staffing shortages may be affecting care, but this does not excuse rude or neglectful behavior.
I would give this hospital one star and strongly recommend avoiding this location.

I'm currently staying in this hospital and they had me change rooms last night. This morning I woke up covered in bug bites all over my arms and neck. I can't even sit in the bed because I'll be bit more. I'm also recently postpartum so I'm pumping and the window blinds are broken and don't close all the way so I have no privacy. It would be nice to have privacy while I expose myself to make milk for my child. The ambulance drove me to this hospital from a different ER so I had no choice on which hospital to go to. Do not recommend this place. 0 stars.

WARNING!!! Do not go to MEMORIAL HERMANN SUGAR LAND. My daughter has been sitting in observation for 3 days with no treatment no room placement just laying here in pain. Three physicians say she needs her gallbladder removed and one doesn't.
Not only did the surgeon in question not want to treat her because she is Medicaid he then accused a new nursing mother of drug seeking!! How is this ok in any place??? She just wants to stop hurting and get home to her newborn infant!!!

If I could give ZERO STARS I would. WORST MEDICAL CENTER IN THE UNIVERSE. My doctor decided to do my surgery with them and they...
1) Decided they "didn't feel like" putting a claim in to my insurance to pay for the surgery because "they don't cover it". I think they were just avoiding work.
2) Waited until the last minute to tell me that I had to be "Self-Pay" and so I was FORCED to take out a large CareCredit loan to pay for it. We learned this literally within 24 hours of my surgery date and I had TRAVELLED FOR THE SURGERY. So we could not reschedule.
3) Changed the location of the surgery center/office before my surgery date and DID NOT EVEN NOTIFY ME. I had to learn this myself when I was double-checking the address for my surgery the night before it was to begin.
5) When I showed up the morning of surgery, they could not find me in the system for the date of surgery THEY had booked and sent me!!! So they had to last minute slot me in...meanwhile the surgery had been booked for MONTHS...
4) I had to SNAIL MAIL in a medical claims request (the only option), only for them to send me an email with a document that said they 'could not find me as a paitent in their system'. Pretty sure I did not imagine the surgery.
5) I called Memorial Hermann about why they couldn't find me only to wait on hold for 25 minutes to be told that "Actually the surgery center operates on a different system, sorry, can't help you". EXCUSE ME?! You share the same name but you don't share the same medical records!?!?!?! And then the agent could not even help me locate the correct "surgery center". She just stared blankly at me through the phone until I gave up on getting any help and hung up.
I am convinced that MEMORIAL HERMANN is the absolute most ATROCIOUS medical system IN THIS COUNTRY. I've never encountered such blatant incompetence. I've never encountered so many obstacles in trying to recieve medical care and get it paid for. I feel so badly for the people of Houston, TX that have to deal with these people regularly. It is not normal. THIS IS NOT NORMAL.
Kinda convinced these people are a secret medical mafia. I would not be surprised to see them featured on some documentary in the future, in a very bad light...
Pick literally ANY OTHER hospital. Please for the love of God avoid this one at ALL COSTS.

Horrible experience avoid this place. my son suffer a horrible experience here and when I was discharged from the hospital, I expressed to the staff the experience no one gave me any guidance or any real answers or providing any resource even that there was a social worker or advocate then when I call and reach out to these departments to the patient advocate, it just sounds like they don’t care and didn’t really response. they just say we’ll take your information 30 days. Will send you a copy basically of your complaints and that was it. Not to mention the horrible experience that I had with the ambulance that they arrange for me and my son to be transported after the doctor made a medical mistake during his surgery.

We recently visited the emergency room here because my father all of a sudden was in immense pain and unable to walk. My father is the type to not complain if it is something manageable at home. (Aka he does not like the doctor) when he began to yell of pain and almost cry I knew something was wrong.
The ambulance took him and the staff there. When we got there the registration person was very cold and unhelpful. They did not have staff to speak Spanish and would not allow me or my family with him to help translate. They took X-ray of his pelvis and an ultrasound to check for clots. When I asked the woman at the front desk what would happen if those came back fine. She said “well we will send him home”. Instantly freaking me out because obviously the 2 doses of morphine and the pain killers you are giving him are not working… there is a PROBLEM and at the very least you should find the root of the problem to help alleviate the pain while he has to wait for a specialist to see him another day. They did not have rooms available so my dad was in a wheelchair in the waiting room. They took cray of only his pelvis not even his spine which I would imagine would have more answers. I had to constantly ask them for an update. There were at least 30-40 people in a small waiting room the size of someone’s living room. Bathrooms were dirty with no paper towels.
1. Staff friendliness and desire to help 0%
2. Treatment 5%
3. Organization 0%
4. Efficiency 0%
