The bathrooms are gross. Suuuuuuper boring oml and they keep you there longer than you need to be there, I was there for 13 days even though I was taking my medication, not acting out, going to group, and doing everything that was necessary. Traumatized me from how boring it was if that’s even a thing. Literally please have more activities for the patients to do, most of the day I just sat around doing nothing but watching the time pass by until the next feeding. Felt like a prison for mentally ill people. And on top of that they were trying to keep me there for 17 days. Can you believe that? Thanks to the man who made sure they didn’t do that to me I sadly forgot his name.

This place is horrible, it is like a prison. My husband went voluntarily to get some help and the facility did not communicated with me on his progress the 10 days he was there. When you try to leave a message the nurses transfer you to the area and then they hang up instead of handing the patient the phone. It is dirty inside, while he was sleeping an ant crawl inside his ear, super gross. He behave and even help other patients there, it is sad they do not take it into consideration. When I took him out of there, one nurse said he needed to fill out an AMA and then a few days later they said no need, so when I went in to discharge him, they made me wait and did not wanted me to take him, I told them he had rights and then the nurse rudely basically kick him out of there with no discharge papers or medication. I have filled a complaint with the Texas board. This is not a facility that I would ever take my love one to. Do better for your patients Voyager, they are humans and need respect from your staff.

For the past month, I have been in the Outpatient Program at Voyages of Sugar Land from 9am - 1pm M-F. This Outpatient Program- led by Mrs. Sonya, Mrs. Dawn and Ms. Crystal, has been phenomenal in my mental health journey. During the course of this past month, we have delved into many aspects of strategic coping skills, viable means of identifying anxiety and understanding my internal thought processes as well as sifting through the “noise.”
I have begun to see myself in a new light and have more hope for my present and future. The Outpatient Program also worked with me in conjunction with the Treatment Team to identify gaps in my medications as well as placed me in a more healthy regimen of medication. This adjustment has been above and beyond what I have experienced in the past.
Overall, hands down, I truly am thankful for this Outpatient Program as well as the Team that has been instrumental in preparing me for those times where I have needed to be my best self. I recommend this Outpatient Program to all those in need of mental health support, guidance and a way of coping with the inner and outer self.

Rebel Sky, we're so glad that we were able to go above and beyond your expectations!
I was an Inpatient and I'm currently an outpatient with the therapist's. I can tell you that I am very thankful for the way I was treated and the way they helped me get myself right. I was really struggling before I came here and once I left I felt myself having better direction and a better thought process. I'm still working on myself but having outpatient therapy helps with what you are still struggling with.

Jarrod Howard, we are so pleased you enjoyed your visit to PAM Voyages of Sugar Land!
I was recently admitted to Voyages, and this was my first time here. I didn't think it was what I thought it would be, everything turned out great! I got alot out my experience here with good mental help, and good help from mental health technicians, supervisors, nurses and cooks all the same. They showed alot of support, guidance and love ❤️ through the process on the way to better health. I would personally like to thank Voyages for the opportunity to make friends 🧡 as well as a mental support team. For the laughter the grief as well as the farewell. Thanks 😊

Triavannti Narcisse, we're happy to hear you had such a positive experience with our team! Thank you for taking the time to share!
As a family member, there were a lot of uncertainty and anxiety when seeing your loved one got admitted.
The communication with the other departments was disappointing.
However, the Director of the Dietary Department, Kendrick Barrow, was a truly God-sent person. My sibling had severe medical conditions and needed a very restricted diet. His Team and he made their best effort to accommodate her meals, which was beyond my expectations with prompt response. I really appreciated their willingness to assist the resident and the family.
In addition, the intake nurses, Nicole and Jun, were very helpful when registering my sibling into the facility. I noticed that they were super busy with multiple patients. Pray the best for the residents and the staffs.

Becky Wong, we're happy you found our staff to be so supportive. We will be sure to share your kind remarks with the team!
I was happy that they allowed me to enter their facility. Hospital stays always have their good and bad moments. When I was there, the hospital was still new, so things were a little unorganized. However, the best part of my stay was the interactions with the group therapists—impeccable and impressive! They spent more time assisting and catering to patients than most of the staff on the floors.
The kitchen crew did their thing! They always made sure I was eating the foods my body needed, as I don’t eat pork or dairy products. That level of care meant a lot.
Now, my experience with medical care was another story. My "doctor" wasn’t really a doctor—more like a doctor-in-training. Truth be told, I felt like a guinea pig at times. I had many issues with the medical side of things, but I demanded to speak to the real doctor, and eventually, it happened. I also want to applaud my psychiatrist and her team for their support.
Towards the end of my stay, the release plan was excellent. They helped me secure a place to live, which was a blessing. However, they messed up my release paperwork, and since it was a Friday, my frustration boiled over. My blood pressure skyrocketed from the stress. But miraculously, I was released on a day they normally don’t discharge people—Saturday! They even Ubered me an hour away to my new home.
All in all, my 21-day stay was a mix of great times and difficult moments, but it was a much-needed mental and spiritual journey. I wish I could remember the names of all the amazing staff members, but I do recall Joseph from the night shift. And James—he was incredible! I thought he was the hospital manager because he was so multi-talented and handled tasks for others with such care. His team was amazing. I also really enjoyed music therapy and the staff who led recreational activities and games.
Interestingly, the day I arrived at Voyages, our group advocate quit. That raised a red flag for me—I knew something was up. But in the end, I learned valuable lessons. Honestly, I would love to have a job like that one day!

Sisi, thank you for your kind words and this wonderful review! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us this valuable feedback.
One of the worst hospitals I have been in. I have been in over 200 in my lifetime. The bathrooms and showers have mold as well as the toilets. The same dirty bandage was in my shower all week.
Dr. Emmanuel was the best thing about the hospital. He listens, is compassionate, and really cares about his patients. He wants to see them get better.
When seeking a clear answer expect to be passed around like a hot potato. No one seems to have any answers. So they lie and are reflective in their answers. If they would tell the truth and give a straight answer, a lot of patients would be happier and more compliant. As well as get proper care.
I felt invisible most days. David a nurse on the 300 unit, both 4/2/25 and 4/3/25, was on his phone and could care less about any questions you asked him. He even put off PRNs until it was convenient for him.
The billing estimates, which they press for them to be paid were extremely off. I have BCBS and Voyages’ are a preferred provider for mental health and rehab. I offered my insurance card at intake. I as told $2,238.08. After calling my insurance company, the total was only $350 for unlimited days for psych or rehab. They would have known if they called the number on my card.
I have food allergies. I told them for 7 days, I still got tomatoes and oatmeal. Had I been a vegetarian. At least they seemed to get their meals right.
There were fire code violations that can cause back drafts. Holes in the doors, and missing door tags.
So think of another place to get your treatment. That is my suggestion. Having had years of experience in various hospitals.
The weekend on 3/29/25 and 3/30/25 was the true therapy we had with the therapist that weekend.
I hope you find the best treatment at another facility.

Warning-AVOID this facility! Lack of updates on condition of family member and communication from staff for even basic concerns. They do not return calls. They repeatedly forget to pass along messages from family to patient. They clearly do not medicate or comfort the patients appropriately. Very disgusted by the poor care of patients and horrible customer service.***Update** after discharge on 2/3/25 we were told that prescriptions were called into the pharmacy, but the pharmacy never received them. I've been in the medical field myself for over 30 years and have never seen such mismanagement and disorganization in my life. My family member said there was one nice nurse that she encountered. So thank you to that one person that made that good impression on her.

Loved one was assaulted by another patient within two hours of being admitted. They did notify me. When I asked for the loved one to be released to my care (they were voluntarily admitted), they initially refused. Took over five and a half hours to get my loved one released to my care even though their own policy says they are not allowed to keep someone longer than 4 hours past their request to leave (if a voluntarry admittance). Got a revolving door of employees (when I could get them to talk to me) who often seemed like they had no idea what was going on. Not one aspect of our interaction with this place felt professional or proper.
