School only wants your money. Especially if you’re going for your A&P. They make you spend an extra 1,200$ for 2 classes that aren’t FAA required. And if you dont pass those two classes they wont hand you your certificates even though you completed and passed all FAA required classes. The purpose of these class is to basically force students to study so when students take their test and pass it makes the school looks good. Seems like modern day robbery for me . Also faculty dont care about students. Its either their time or no time at all. Other wise all FAA required classes are good. Please go somewhere else for A&P program.

This school never returned the deposit I put towards my daughter’s dorm. They sent me an email stating I would receive the payment within a certain date and no payment has ever arrived. They ignored emails and failed to respond to my motorized letter. I even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This is why I never sent my daughter back to complete her education there or play basketball for them.

The food's edible, the rooms are bland. The people are awesome but if you don't have a scholarship the price is steep to say the least. But it is 100% worth it. It feels like tommorow here. And there are only two ways out quit, or rise to the occasion.

Very disappointed with this school, all they care about is your money, bad stuff, bad organization. You feel like you are in a family business. They get ride of good instructors when they try to voice their opinion mean while they keep the bad ones because they are afraid of speaking up. Most of labs are not properly updated with new equipments all parts that are broken are left unrepaired.

Terrible school that only cares about taking your money. Most labs don't work, so that you won't get the experience needed for passing the practicals. You are advised from the start to come in after hours to "re-learn" those practicals in other teachers classes, which is on your own free time and most teachers nowadays are new or don't actually know how to teach. Most teaching is done by the teacher reading from a book or doing slides and just copying notes. Basically just remembering words that you don't really know the meaning to. Alot of teachers use Aviation terms and expect everyone to already know those terms. There's very few good teachers and their classes will be filled the first day of registration.You won't really learn much from here. Glad I transferred outta there.

My son had gone to this school for two years.
In his second year, he was called by a major airline with a job opportunity. He jumped at the opportunity. Unfortunately, he had to drop out because of his schedule. He was a week late cancelling the classes, and for the past few years, I’ve been getting bills for over 7,000.00 that was due. He explained it to them, and basically said “too bad, you were past the deadline”.
I paid them over 40K, plus the student loan money they received.
Fast forward to 2019, and my son’s employer is offering classes for his bachelor’s degree and a greatly reduced discount.
Vaughn is holding his transcripts hostage, and won’t provide him with an unofficial copy.
I could well understand if, he went for a full semester, and then didn’t pay but, being a few days late past the deadline, is just ridiculous.
It’s all about the money with these people.
Be a bit flexible and do the right thing.

I. Jing zhao came to USA for 6 years. Currently working in the travel agency . I has been visited this school on May 2018. Mr Domenic Proscia met up with me and my colleague . He showed us around the whole campus. He made a vivid tour and explained every thing in detail. Also I could feel he has good sense of humor. Personally speaking, I felt The staff is very helpful. Through talking with Proscia. I would like to say he is so friendly and helpful. 😊Even though I am too busy to continue summer camp plan for this school. But if I had students want to study abroad. I would like to recommend this school. Thank You 🙏 Domenic proscia. 😊💫🌟

As a former Vaughn student I can honestly tell you that their Aircraft Operations major is a scam. If you do not have all of your licenses and ratings, you will not be able to graduate even though you've taken all of your classes!
The licenses cost over 88k with only 200 flight hours. Don't forget that in order to fly as a commercial pilot, you must have 1,500 flight hours.

I fell for it. If you choose continue with that major, you will find out that the tuition and the flying lessons are two separate bills! I found out the hard way. Vaughn College rarely provides scholarships or any forms of financial assistance to low income students. My first semester tuition bill was over $13,000 and this was with my scholarships and government funds.

I withdrew from Vaughn after just one semester due to the ridiculous amount of money I had to pay.
Even though I left after one week of the Spring Semester of 2018, I was still liable for 75% of the tuition, $3,788.75 and for labs that I never attended which are a separate price.
I suggest that you avoid taking out loans, the people who work in the financial aid office are down right rude. Instead of helping you out or finding ways to pay your bills they simply tell you to - take out a Parent-Plus Student loan.

I do not recommend attending Vaughn College, they will suck you dry from every dollar you have.

I initially saw myself in the aviation field and decided to go here, but that changed soon once I realized that they did not want to give me the scholarships they promised. The class sizes are good and everyone around you becomes family because the school is so small. However, campus and residential life becomes really boring because you end us seeing the same people every single day and the location is between LGA and a large residential area, so with no other campuses or entertainment nearby without hopping on a bus - it gets very lonely. I gave this school a 5 star review when I started, but now three years later after transferring to another school in NYC, I have to give Vaughn a 1 star review because they treated me terrible. I'm very disappointed especially because this is a private school.
