Wonderfully restored 1920's mansion with a modern tower behind that gives you both the past and the present. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was well executed. They have an interesting "off-the-beaten path" wine list. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great location in Montrose with access to many art museums. Definately worth a repeat nex ttime we visit Houston.
This is an extraordinary hotel. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, professional, and committed to being helpful. The level of hospitality was among the best I have experienced in a while (I have stayed at other five stars and this is among the best). Every request was handled promptly and graciously. The hotel itself is beautiful—elegant, intimate, and filled with character. I loved my stay and would definitely come back given the opportunity in the future.
Lovely boutique hotel with a great variety of curated art pieces. Had a staycation here for our wedding anniversary along with our pet. The amenities were thoughtful and welcome gifts were included too! But the highlight was the incredibly kind staff! Thank you for taking care of us!
We rented a bungalow for 4 days and had a wonderful experience from the moment we parked in the driveway. Staff were friendly and welcoming as well as helpful with tending to all of our needs. I highly recommend the bungalows if you’re looking for a quiet, private place to stay
We have had the pleasure of hosting events at LCD numerous time this year. The staff is awesome, we couldn't have expected as welcoming and attentive service as we've enjoyed! Thanks Mark, Desiree and you team!!!
We had a fantastic stay. The room (in the tower) was quiet, large, and peaceful. The staff was top-notch, we appreciated their warm welcome to us but especially to our little 2.5 year old boy. We would definitely stay there again. The pillows were so fluffy, and if that's my only complaint that is pretty great!
We stayed in the Monet suite to get ready and our wedding night and it was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious and comfortable, and service was impeccable. When we arrived, I realized that the only full length mirror was in the closet and I really wanted to be able to easily see myself in my dress. Within minutes, staff was bringing in a 7ft leaning mirror that they pulled from God knows where and placing it in the room for me! I was so impressed!
As a photographer myself, having a room that would photograph beautifully to get ready in was a priority. The Monet suite has amazing light from many angles and is so roomy that even with 9 people at one point, it didn't get cramped. I adore the photos we captured in this room!
The hotel was a dream experience on every level. The personalized gentle check in, the incredibly accommodating and diverse staff who were warm and friendly (All of them were wonderful, especially notable: Charles)
I especially love when a five star hotel still manages to be relaxed and fun instead of stuffy.
The room (tower) was SPOTLESS and quiet and exactly what I needed. The room service was delicious and the beautiful bar was a wonderful addition to the stay. I hope to return, until then I will cherish what a wonderful stay I had. Thank you to the staff who made a birthday weekend so special.
Off the chart lovely experience, location, and staff. I had no idea this part of Houston was so walkable and beautiful.
We had the warmest greeting when we arrived at the hotel. The valet, front desk, and other team members were generous with their smiles and greetings toward our children. The bungalow was a wonderful solution to traveling with two children who wake at different times. Overall the hotel felt luxurious and well appointed. The art, color palette, and even the scent of the hotel offered a wonderful escape from the day to day.
My singular recommendation is for the hotel to switch to electric leaf blowers and away from gas powered tools. The noise and smell of gas powered leaf blowers interrupts the otherwise relaxing environment.
