I was a patient at Sugarland Methodist Hospital Sweetwater Pavilion .Rm 305 for 4 days in Nov 2025. I received great care and I especially want to thank my nurses Georgina and Fiona, nsg attendant Robert for being the best staff in the unit. My room was huge and housekeeping were very good at cleaning my room. The doctors were very much on top of my treatments.
This establishment has unfortunately provided a rather distressing experience. My father arrived in an unconscious state via ambulance, and despite his critical condition being stabilized, we were required to wait in the emergency room for two hours. The staff at the front desk appeared to lack empathy and were quite impolite. When I inquired about the estimated waiting time for my father to be seen, their response was, "Oh, we don't keep track of that; it's by urgency!" This was particularly concerning given my father's symptoms of vomiting and loss of consciousness upon arrival. I sincerely hope this hospital can improve its services. I am quite disappointed, especially considering Methodist's reputation as a highly regarded medical institution. It seems there may have been a lapse in their usual standards. If understaffing is an issue, it would be beneficial for them to consider increasing their personnel.

I am writing this review to express my profound dissatisfaction with the care (or lack thereof) I received during my recent visit to the Emergency Room.
My primary reason for seeking help was significant pain and discomfort, yet my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. I felt that my pain level was not taken seriously by the staff and providers, leading to a long and distressing wait without adequate attention or relief.
Even more troubling than the inadequate medical response was the attitude of the staff. I felt treated like a nuisance and a disservice rather than a human being in need of medical attention. The lack of empathy, respect, and basic humanity shown to me was shocking. I was made to feel as if I did not deserve treatment or care.
An emergency room should be a place of refuge and competent care, especially for those in pain. Instead, I left feeling worse, unheard, and deeply disrespected. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues regarding staff training, bedside manner, and the appropriate triage of pain complaints so that no other patient has to endure this kind of experience. Specifically speaking on nurse practitioner Tiffany Nyugen, who laughed in my face when I asked for her name, (her response being, “it’s on your paperwork”. And refused to give her last name.

My daughter is there right now in room 3015 and they are treating her like crap like she is nothing. Shes had me on speaker and they talk to her like she's below them ans she doesnt matter. Shes been vomiting blood bad and in excruciating pain but they don't care. The nurse she currently has argued with her. The staff there literally give her attitude for no reason. We do have an attorney and might pursue charges for emotional distress with the proof we have.my poor baby girl does not deserve that every time a nurse comes in the room she has me or her father on speaker and we hear everything

I was there around 8 pm on a Monday. The checkin took just a few minutes as they already have my records through my family doctor. Before I even sat down in the waiting room, two nurses came out to bring me to a treatment room. Within the next hour, I had ultrasound, blood tests, urine tests (requiring a catheter), doctor consultation, and a CT scan. Then the doctor was back with a treatment plan. The nurse executed the procedure and brought immediate relief to my symptoms. This is followed by a third meeting with the doctor for referral and discharge instructions. I was out at 10:45pm with significant issues resolved and very relieved.
I've used the Methodist ER at Sugarland three years ago due to drug allergy, leading to two days of hospitalization. That went smoothly as well.
My baby's first (and hopefully last) trip to the ER was via ambulance due to severe egg allergy and even though it was the most terrifying thing I've ever been through, all the EMTs, nurses, doctor were so competent, calm, and nice. They were amazing at making me feel like everything will be okay and keeping me informed and calm. I have no doubt he got the best care possible. I've learned that being reasonable person allows the health care team to do their job most effectively and give you and your family the best results possible. I have nothing but love and respect for all the first responders doctors and other health care providers that saved my son’s life. Thank you so much to Dr. Apfel, nurse Josselin, nurse Daisy and nurse Morgan for taking care of my baby. You are all amazing!
Very bad service. We were here for our sister’s delivery and there was no Paediatrician available for the new born. Staff is not friendly at all. Nurses would not respond or listen if you ask them or call them. They would take ages to respond and that too really rude once they get there.
This hospital use to be good when we first visited 5 years ago. But I believe the owner changed or something has happened which brought it down to the lowest . I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.
Very bad and trash service.
