I throughly enjoyed all the nurses I had during my procedure here. Eddie, Beatrice and Sueyon were so helpful, nurturing and really helped coach me through my recovery process. The facility was very neat, clean and nice. Being a smaller hospital really allows you to get more attentive care and they did truly care about you as a patient. Eddie would remind me anytime I was in pain, nauseous or starting to panic she would say "control your breathing, in through your nose out through your mouth, remember who you are, you got this! It's all going to be worth it!" I've kept that mentality as I've been home recovering. Forever grateful for treating me with such compassion.
I had the best experience ever. The staff is so caring and professional. My nurse ms.Edie was the best. I loved her bedside manners and she made sure I had everything I needed. The hospital is so clean and organized. I will definitely recommend this facility to my friends and family.
The staff was very pleasant and warm. Everyone was personable and make you feel comfortable. I had never heard of this center until I had to go for a procedure, I am use to big hospitals but I would definitely recommend this as an alternative.
Had gastric sleeve surgery. I could’ve given 5 stars but my one night stayed experience was not what I was expecting. I can’t even remember her name because I was on so much pain but, this girl is definitely not suited to be a Nurse Assistant. Every time when she came to “assist”, she would just be staying in front of me, staring at me without really helping. Eddie, the next morning Nurse, was awesome and very helpful.
Very quiet and accommodating hospital. Clementina and Jennifer were very attentive after my surgery. I was allowed to make my own decisions about pain control and was up and ambulating with mild discomfort after my surgery. However, there were some nurses and medical assistant that could care less. Clementina and I went back and forth about pain meds when I came from recovery. At the end of one exchange she walked out the room saying “whew” out loud to which I responded “whew” back. Her attitude changed for the rest of the morning. I asked one medical assistant on night shift about a shower, she said people don’t shower after these surgeries. She didn’t offer any other options. I was told where all my linen was as if I was to change my own bed each day by one medical assistant. One medical assistant at night was very good, even introduced herself. Nurse Aisha told me to drink plenty of water even though I had large bags of lactated ringers hanging , I followed her advice like a dummy and it lowered my potassium levels. I had to take 2 huge potassium pills every two hours before I could be discharged. When the doctor pulled off my incision dressing, nurse Felicia gasped as if she was looking at the most grotesque site. I didn’t understand why she had to even watch while the doctor checked my dressing if she didn’t have bedside manner training. There was another nice night nurse that came in after Jennifer, her name maybe Kathy, she was so kind and made sure my pain was managed because of her I slept so well that night. Also the food at this hospital is horrible. I had a tuna salad sandwich that tasted like tuna water sandwich. I told my husband to come get me before the nurses kill me.

Altus Houston hospital is a good hospital for surgery. Especially, Dr. Chaudhry’s bariatric surgery (bypass or sleeve) is phenomenal! Great facility and good people. Definitely recommended! Come and get your surgery done here! Cheers 🥂
The doctor, anesthesiologist, nurses, and assistants are all top notch and super friendly and helpful. The facility is neat and clean. I didn't get a private room like at a big facility which is the only reason I gave a 4 not a five. Maybe it was due to my particular procedure. But otherwise, you are in really good hands. I felt safe and cared for.
My first experience with this hospital was over the phone and it was very underwhelming. But I had trust in my doctor and if he trusted them, then I would trust them too. I am so glad I did! Surgery day is easy and the staff was amazing, from the pre-op nurse who double checked an antibiotic because of one of my allergies and she potentially saved me from an adverse reaction. The surgical nurse who hyped me up when I started to get anxious. The CRNA who was so calm and soothing as she put me under for surgery. The floor nurses who took care of me after. The tech Ms. Eddie, she was the best! She helped me get up and coached me through not falling or getting sick and even now as I am recovering at home I hear her encouraging voice. Overall a great experience!
I usually stay away from hospitals, will do everything in my power to not go but seriously the best hospital experience I’ve ever received! From the moment I checked in till the moment I was discharged, all the nurses were all extremely nice and always checked up on me to make sure I was comfortable. They all cracked jokes with me and just made me feel at home with them. Would definitely have more surgeries - if needed- there again! Thank you so much for the amazing carennnnnn
Great staff! I had weight loss surgery and the level of service is very good. Its a very small hospital so its more of a personal care. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Thank you Altus for being a part of my new life and my new journey ahead!
