Marty is an excellent mobile mechanic, my car went out twice due to the starter and he came and helped out every single time he did went a above and beyond to help my light in the front it’s so much clearer now I’ve already recommended him twice

He is awesome a bunch of mechanics quoted me 300-400 to replace my starter and he said let’s check the battery terminals first I didn’t even need to replace the starter

Diagnosed and serviced my truck fairly quick. It was a fuel pump issue. My technician Samuel was great and got the job done well and fast. It was well into the evening when I called for service and I needed my truck for work. They came by and worked on my vehicle until it was done. They made sure my truck was up and running well for me. Great work, friendly, reliable and highly recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Mobile Mechanic Highly Recommended!
I had my alternator and starter replaced by this mobile mechanic, and he did an amazing job. He showed up on time, worked efficiently, and got my car running perfectly again. The price was very fair much better than what a shop would charge and his quality of work was excellent. You can tell he’s experienced, professional, and genuinely cares about his customers.
What really stood out to me is that he has a big heart for military veterans and always goes the extra mile to help us out. It’s rare to find someone this honest, skilled, and respectful. Highly recommend him for anyone needing reliable mobile car repair!

Seemed good BUT NOT DEPENDABLE!
I called Marty the first time to come out over a week ago on a same day mobile assessment for a car I wanted to buy. He said he could come that same day and estimated his arrival time as 2:30. It was a long extra 2.5 hours waiting at the Hitchcock car lot with multiple new arrival times in between until he arrived around 5:00. I texted and called him in between with no pickups and sparse text answers.
Despite his (traffic?) delays, I liked him. His assessment was very thorough and he said that the car needed major work starting with a new alternator, and obviously advised against buying it.
As I paid him the $250 trip fee (in cash with an additional tip despite his lateness) he said his policy was that if you don’t buy a car because of his assessment the first time, he’d do the next one for half price. I told him thanks but I felt he shouldn’t discount his service just because this car he assessed was a pig with lipstick and he was well worth the $250 because he saved me thousands. So I was willing to pay him the full fee to do the next assessment. I liked him and thought I’d found a great mobile mechanic. If I’d have reviewed him at that point, I’d have given him 5 stars.
Six days later (two days ago on Friday), I called him around 10 am in the morning to come do another prepurchase assessment at a major car dealership across from Reliant stadium on the 610 South Loop. I told him about the car and my few concerns that I was willing to fix if he determined they were minor. I told him I needed to leave the dealership to go to a doctor’s appointment across town but I would be back. We discussed him sending me his pay link. When I asked for a general eta, he hemmed and hawed a bit but said he could be there about 1:30 - by that answer, and the week before, I expected him to be late again. (I’m generally not a fan of lateness but he’s so good, I could overlook it. Also, this dealership is open til 9 pm. So I said no problem, just call me when you’re here and please send me your pay link since even if I’m not back yet, you can still do the assessment since I trust whatever you find. I texted him the salesman’s information. It was a huge dealership and very professional establishment and I trusted him to show up and do the job.
He never sent me his pay link and that was the last time I ever talked to Marty - it’s now 48 hours later. I called him around 2:30 but no answer, then at 3, no answer, and 5 then at 6 but he never answered! One of those cals, I could tell he rejected because it only rang once then went to voicemail. I texted him four times in between those calls asking for a new eta, the last text around 6 simply saying “hey are you ok? Please just let me know SOMETHING.” In between that, I was in contact with the salesman multiple times to ask if he’d heard anything from Marty but he hadn’t. I didn’t bother to call him from my husband’s phone to see if he’d pick up because my patience was pretty much toast at that point. If you’re gonna avoid calls from my phone, that’s all I need to know.
So Marty completely GHOSTED ME. And on Halloween. I thought I might hear from him yesterday saying there was an issue with his phone - because there is no way you don’t lose your phone as a mobile mechanic and not go take care of that immediately - and we all know your recent stuff is stored in the cloud these days so… zero excuses. I came to look at his Google reviews and lo and behold, I see he did the same thing to another woman spread out over a week a month earlier.
To sum it up, SADLY, if you do hire Marty, he will likely show up late IF he ever shows up. IF he shows up, he’ll be thorough - so there’s that. But how long is someone really expected to wait these days?? Showing up and good communication is already half the battle. Not doing that is wholly unacceptable for ANY business model, much less one that provides mobile services where people are waiting for you to arrive.

Marty’s Mobile Mechanic is hands down one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a mechanic! He changed my brake pads, topped off my transmission fluid, and did a full oil change — all done quickly, efficiently, and with real attention to detail. Marty is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and just an all-around great person. The service was fast, convenient, and top-notch from start to finish. I highly recommend Marty to anyone needing honest, high-quality mobile mechanic work.

My truck died in the middle of the road on El Dorado. Two nice guys helped me push it out of the way. One of them stayed, grabbed his mechanics tools, ran and explained the diagnostics to me. Did I mention that he got the truck started? His name was Marty. Talk about earning your business.

I had a terrible experience with Marty’s Mobile Mechanics. Marty came out to diagnose my car on a Friday. He looked over the car and diagnosed the problem as a bad alternator. He charged $75 to come out and $150 to diagnose the problem but told me the diagnoses would be “free” as long as he did the repairs because it would be a credit towards the fix. At this point everything seemed fine. It was late on a Friday so he said he would call back Saturday with an estimate. He did not contact me Saturday and I had to reach out to him on Monday to get an update to which he replied “I’ll update you soon”. I didn’t hear back from him until Wednesday. On Wednesday he left a message saying my alternator had come in and that they would be able to come out and fix it that day. We discussed a time and I moved my work schedule around to be available between 2:30-6:30pm. He told me he would be here at 2:45pm on the dot. Marty never showed up that day and when I called him around 4:00pm he text me and said “I’ll call you back”. I did not hear back from him. Thursday morning I text Marty and told him I had never heard back from him and was very concerned about getting my car fixed as it was turning off while driving. He said rain on Wednesday delayed repairs but guaranteed someone would be out to fix the car Thursday. I again adjusted my schedule so that the car would be available between 1:30-5:30pm. By 4:00pm I tried calling Marty to get an update but got no answer. I text him and asked if someone was still coming out today to which he replied “yessir”. By around 5:30pm I text and asked if he had an eta. I had not received a reply and Marty was not answering my calls at this point so my boyfriend called from his number at 6:00pm and Marty picked up right away. My boyfriend expressed that we were very concerned about the car and needed to have the repairs done and Marty told him that he would definitely have someone out to fix the car and gave an estimated time of 7:00pm. No one had arrived by 8:00pm so I again text Marty and asked if someone was still coming out and again did not receive a reply. I called Marty again at 9:00pm and never received an answer and no one ever showed up to fix the car.
I have never dealt with such an unprofessional business. Marty’s lack of transparency and communication is astounding. He never had the decency to let me know he would not be able to make it out on either Wednesday or Thursday. I understand that rain would cause a delay but that could have easily been communicated. Instead he just never shows up. It also very much felt like he was intentionally ignoring my calls and messages.
Marty offers “free” diagnosis if you go with him for repairs but makes it next to impossible to actually get the repairs completed. Although in my case it was probably a good thing he never did repairs.
The real kicker is that I took my car to a shop early Friday morning because I could no longer waste entire days waiting on Marty’s empty assurances and they told me that the alternator was not the problem and was operating just fine. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty sensor and fixed it right away.
I wish I had never contacted Marty’s Mobile Mechanics. It would have saved me a lot of time and stress. I also would not have wasted $225 on a bad diagnosis.

Honest mechanic and price is better than any dealership and mechanic shops in the area. Truck broke down in Webster come out in 45 minutes and started working on it. After several hours and more diagnostics, him and his technician found a broken Valve spring in the right side of the engine. Even though, I spent money the parts that were replaced prior to the broken Valve spring, he didn't charge me more than an hours worth of work. He understood my situation and gave reasonable quote for replacing all valve springs, rockers, cleaning, caskets and oil pump that is possibly not working properly and labor way under 6k compared to dealerships and mechanic shops in my area. I hope to work with him on payments and I recommend him to anyone.
