5/5 Stars – Exceptional Care for Microdiscectomy at Memorial Hermann
I recently underwent microdiscectomy surgery at Memorial Hermann, and I cannot speak highly enough of the entire experience. From pre-op preparation to my post-operative recovery, every single person involved in my care demonstrated extraordinary professionalism, clinical expertise, and genuine compassion.
The surgical team and doctors were outstanding. They took the time to explain every detail of the procedure, answered all my questions with complete clarity, and provided the reassurance and confidence I needed heading into surgery.
The nurses and support staff were equally incredible. They were incredibly attentive, prompt with pain management and check-ins, and kept me guided through every step of recovery. What truly made a difference was their positive, warm attitude—their constant encouragement turned a daunting procedure into a smooth and comforting experience.
Beyond the top-tier medical care, the seamless guidance and uplifting environment created by the Memorial Hermann team stood out the most. I felt truly cared for as a person, not just a patient. Thank you to the entire doctor, nursing, and support staff for your exceptional care and for helping me get my quality of life back!

I was transferred to this hospital for emergency surgery due to a giant ovarian cyst that was causing Ovarian Torsion. I spent maybe 20 minutes here as the Dr decided he would not be doing the surgery because "preserving fertility" was more important than stopping the severe pain i was in or avoiding a possible life threatening situation and the cyst would "go away on its own".
Upon being discharged, I was prescribed to take 2,400 MG of ibuprofen every day for 2 weeks. 4 days of that had me almost dead of my feet and feeling sick from the moment I woke up to the time I tried to sleep.
I got in to see a competent Dr at a quality hospital and they ordered immediate surgery, noting that the cyst had gotten even bigger in just a week. After surgery we learned that I had 3 huge cysts that had completely overtaken ovary (the one the other Doctor was so adamant on protecting) and I had zero normal ovarian tissue left.
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! They will ignore your pain, over prescribe painkillers and push you out the door with no actual help but still taking your money.

Dipan, Dipan with security has been absolutely amazing! From the moment we met him, he has been kind, compassionate, and incredibly helpful. During such a difficult and stressful time for our family, his kindness and willingness to help truly stood out. He always made us feel welcomed, safe, and cared for, and he went above and beyond to help us whenever we needed it.

As much as memorial Hermann has saved me over the years and been good to me, the billing department has not, as of recent. I wanted A lowered monthly payment and they wouldn’t agree to which they put my account in collections after one month of me saying all I could Pay them was $50? Now before, I’ve never missed a payment and have paid off all my accounts over the past 5 years. This is ridiculous; please work with the customers who have always been in good standing but need a lowered payment.

Dr. Obianuju Eziolisa, DO, was very rude and dismissive during my visit. I came in because I was genuinely concerned about my health, but I felt like my concerns weren’t being taken seriously. Her attitude made me feel uncomfortable, and I even asked if I could see a different doctor. I was told no because she was the head doctor.
When I asked why she was treating me that way, her attitude seemed to get worse. I left feeling unheard, disrespected, and disappointed with the care I received. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hospital. Patients deserve to feel listened to, respected, and cared for, especially when they’re seeking medical help.
I have filed a formal complaint and am exploring my legal options regarding my experience.

This review is based on my sister's brief ICU stay before she ultimately passed last year. She had been to several hospitals during her leukemia battle. Out of all of them, the ICU nurses at Memorial were the most caring, compassionate nurses we experienced. Although she was at the end of her journey and no longer responsive, they made sure to keep her clean and advocated for her until the very end. When she was finally pronounced, the nurses all came in and I saw a few of them crying...for a patient they had only been taking care of for 3 days. I truly wish my sister had been to this hospital when she was first diagnosed, but God knows. I'm truly grateful this was the final stop of her journey. Blessings to the ICU staff that gave her such great care.

This place was the worst! Literally sat in the hallway for a little over 5 hrs and nobody acknowledged us. There were 3 empty rooms but they either decided to leave us in the hallway or forgot we were even there. After 5 hrs of waiting for the ENT Specialist that we traveled across town to see because he was "the best". Note we were transferred here from another hospital to see this "great" ENT Specialist. We never saw this doctor, instead we saw 3 students. They basically said there was nothing they could do bcuz the medicine we got from the other location was fine and we could be discharged. They sure did not not fail to mention 3 or 4 times to schedule an appointment to follow up with this "great ENT Specialist". No thorough exam or explanation...and yes all this was happening in the hallway for all to see and hear. So unprofessional and will NEVER go there again.
