This place refuses to leave me alone. I was sent here by an urgent care, so it was not my hospital of choice to begin with, and will never be. I only wish I had read these reviews before actually going here to change where I would have been transported. I had appendicitis, had surgery to remove my appendix, and stayed there one night. I was charged $54,000! I had my file put under review and a year and a half later my insurance I am still fighting them to getting my bill corrected. This place is everything that is wrong with the how the medical industry charges clients! Stay Away At All Costs!!!

Has anyone yet filed a complaint with the FTC?! I AM ABOUT TO, because they are doing the same thing to me as I am reading in all of these reviews. They coded my visit under "life threatening" (so they could get more money) I went in for anxiety and they want to slam me with and $8,000 bill. My insurance company has been trying to get it resolved (because they confirmed I DON'T OWE THAT) and should have never received a bill from them. But, HOW convenient that they "are not in" and "didn't receive the fax" and it could "take a week to get a FAX". I WILL not be threatened by a BS company trying to send a BS charge to collections when I DON'T OWE IT. Further action is being taken!!

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY IT IS A SERIOUS RIP OFF AND YOU WILL END UP PAYING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR SERVICES THAT ONLY COST 100 OR LESS.

If I could do zero stars or fraud or just take a picture I would do so. I went for a breathing treatment for bronchitis since I dont have many episodes I dont use a inhaler. Occasionally it will act up and my chest will tighten and I have to go ... this usually happens 1 or 2 time a year normal cost is about $180. This facility billed me $9651 and half the services they charged for never were rendered. The charged for blood work and X-rays and EKG lab work, drugs I never took but stated that I took them myself and they billed for them. Currently, and this is after getting $7946.56 from insurance $236.00 from me I supposedly owe them $1500 to the doctor and an additional $1074.00 to the facility. Your thinking I must have gotten a bunch done ... well your wrong I set on a bed for 45 minutes with a mask on and walked out everything else was a lie. Fortunately for me I videoed the entire process on my phone for my wife to see so everything they performed is on record and all the work I refused is there too. Difficult to believe this is even legal they mad almost 12k in 45 minutes... I'M SERIOUSLY IN THE WRONG LINE OF WORK! The worst possible medical care available.

ONE HOUR HERE WITH A WRONG DIAGNOSIS WAS $3,400.00!

We brought our son in because he had a cold and was rasping a bit. The doctor treated it as though it was life threatening situation (which it was not - we got a 2nd opinion) did all these EXPENSIVE TESTS WHICH CAME BACK NEGATIVE. COMPLETE FRAUD OF A HOSPITAL. They wanted to do all these medically unnecessary things to our son. We left and took him to another clinic who said, "yes, he has a cold here is some medicine." He was fine two days later.

THIS HOSPITAL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS NOR DOES IT ACTUALLY PROVIDE MEDICAL CARE. THEY RUN UNNECESSARY TESTS AND MISDIAGNOSE. I looked up the doctor that they had in the Urgent Care area and he is 1 start by 20+ reviews doctor who had no business being in Urgent Care. He was a complete fraud - just like FIRST TEXAS HOSPITAL.

As you can see below they only respond to Negative Reviews. I sent a letter and also called regarding the horrible care - and NOT ONE SINGLE RESPONSE. Leave a bad google ad review and they suddenly care. Dr. Mitchell and 1st Texas Hospital should be ashamed.

This is the worst hospital I went to in all my life. The staff was very uncaring and the doctor seemed like he did not know nothing. I told him I was allergic to Morphine and do you know he still wanted to give me some? That nurse who gave me all that medicine, he looked like he came off the street somewhere because he did not know nothing. He filled me up with all those drugs that I did not even not need. And that big tall black nurse, she was just plain ignorant and not nice to me at all. Then they send me home when I was high as a kite and I had an infection and my CPK was high, my platelets was high and my EOS was high and they did nothing to check to see what was going on with me. I went to another hospital and found out that I was really sick and had a bad infection in my lungs. If you want to live, I will suggest, do not go to this hospital. They don't know what they is doing. No one was friendly at all. No care at all when you get sick.

This place is a rip-off my son was sick and treated there in the early am hours. They referred him to a hospital they had no care or concern whether or not the hospital was within our health insurance Network. They did not send us a bill for months when they finally sent a bill it was not an itemized bill with CPT codes and specific details about the charges there was no reference to the $250 cash payment that I made on the night of the visit on behalf of my son. And the one bill that I finally received four months later was a collections notice. This is completely unacceptable do not go here or you will be ill twice: once at the time of treatment, and a second time at the time you receive your bill

I went to ER because a terrible abdominal pain. The staff was so nice, but the bill is incredible expensive. At the end, they didn't figure out what I had, gave me morphine and sent me home, and of course with the message: if you have pain again come back. I was charged with 12000 bucks for morphine and some lab test.

The hospital and their staff are awesome. I would highly recommend them for any emergency. My rating is towards their billing department. They are highly inadequate and not able to handle this account. I went to the hospital in January 2018. I received 2 bills for service. One from the doctor and one for the emergency room. I paid both bills through their on-line system on 2/11. One payment posted the second did not. I have tried for over a year to get this resolved even providing proof of payment as instructed. The supervisor I spoke with, Ramey King, did not follow through and do as he promised. I talked to Kamisha today and she was not the least bit concerned about this issue. I am writing this review hoping the hospital sees this and someone helps me get this resolved. Thank you.

Update - it has been 5 days since I sent an email to the address below and nobody has reached out to me to discuss. The admin side of this business has serious problems. I have spent many hours just trying to get them to submit a bill to my insurance which is now 5 months late and likely to be denied because of a lack of timeliness filing the claim. I hate to say it, but I would recommend another facility given the substantial issues on the admin side of this business. It somehow has been my responsibility to constantly reach out and remind them they haven’t billed for my services. Nobody has ever given me an explanation in the last 5 months as to why they are delayed.

UPDATE - I responded to the e-mail address shown below, and not a peep from anyone so far. Decent doctor experience, but the administrative side is terrible and could end up costing me a lot of money if they do not get this filed soon. It has been 4.5 months since my visit.

Experience was fine, but their billing is a real problem. I provided insurance information at time of service. They properly billed for hospital, but for a reason unknown to anyone there, they billed the physicians fees to an insurance provider I have never heard of and never had. Nobody could explain how that was possible since they had my insurance card. They said they would submit to correct insurance, that was over 10 weeks ago. Have called 4 times to try to get them to file to my insurance and insurance has still not seen any charges. I am told they could now decline based on a lack of timeliness of filing the claim.

I went to the tomball location, because I pulled a muscle in my back in December 2017. They did a CT scan and took some urine. The doctor never touched me... They billed Aetna $17,900 and I am still getting bills from them, this place is fraudulently and I have filed a complaint against this company. This is so sad... how they scam the sick. Do not go to this place. They are a RIP OFF!!!!
