Appointment was for a sinus infection at Memorial Herman Convenient care where Dr. Dalbir Purewal will treat you like you’re visiting a convenient store.
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a doctor. I explained that I’ve been using over-the-counter medications since childhood—long before they were even available OTC—and that they have never worked for me. Despite this, Dr. Purewal was dismissive and continued to recommend the same over-the-counter options, without offering any new or personalized treatment plan.
The appointment lasted less than five minutes. He did prescribe an antibiotic, which felt more like a checkbox than a thoughtful decision. I was also advised to wear a mask, even though I brought up concerns about long-term effects based on current research. I asked about the impact of taking OTC meds year-round as he recommended and my concerns were brushed off without a meaningful explanation.
I left the appointment feeling unheard and frustrated. It’s disappointing, especially after having a much better experience with another provider at the same location.

This genuinely was the best hospital I have ever been to. I was transported from an outside ER and needed emergency surgery at their inpatient hospital. Everyone from the nurses, surgeons, etc took great care of me and were so professional and kind. I’m so relieved that this was the hospital with an open bed. They took a scary emergency surgery into a non traumatic experience as you can get for an originally crappy situation. Loved my nurse Leslie and Dr.Barnes.

Thank you for your kind words, we appreciate your feedback.
The facility is subpar, waiting room is overcrowded and uncomfortable. Waiting time is currently 2 hours late. Excuse given is they are waiting on beds. Avoid if at all possible. Unfortunately the patient feels locked into carrying through with having their procedure done with no better available opinion.
As far as filling out your form - why don’t you come and experience it yourself.

I was here as a patient after a scare. Had an angiogram and everything turned out fine, thank the Lord. But I’m here to tell you that starting with cardiologist Dr. Grounds, the entire team was fantastic. The nurses Lil, Laurel, Denise, Mereena, and in the cath lab Sarah, Bethany, and Jeff were all spectacular. At a time when you are concerned and to be honest scared out of your mind, they put my wife and I at ease, explained everything, were meticulous, and took excellent care of us. The Nurse Manager Bryce came and checked on us after the procedure to make sure everything was fine and asked if we needed anything.
Let’s face it, at times like this you feel the most helpless and vulnerable. The compassion, care, and sensitivity we were treated with made things much easier to get through.
I’ve been coming to this location as well the southwest/beechnut for the past 3 years. The Sugarland location is horrible due to the lack of empathy, respect & just kindness for patients.
I was a patient here when I was really sick back in Aug 2023 and I had to deal with a lot of rude nurses as well general doctors who walk the floor. I can only remember Dr. Nicholas name.
I am in no way trying to put the down negatively the hospital as a whole cause there’s other locations that have treated me better like the beechnut which is great but I have to be honest and direct to say please keep training the staff, nurses, even general floor doctors. It’s completely unacceptable behavior!
Must do better to provide care in this hospital and all others. People are going through difficult times and should at least get minded with a smile when treating them.
Strive to become quality not quantity

Was advised my tests would be half of what I was charged. Was told my mammogram results would be available within two days. It's now TWO WEEKS in and NOTHING. Memorial Hermann rep on the phone said they use a third party for the tests, and I would just have to wait. BUYER BEWARE!

I recently gave birth at Memorial Hermann Memorial City in July and wanted to share a detailed review of my experience — the good, the great, and unfortunately, the disappointing.
The Positives: Exceptional Early Care & Support
The check-in process was seamless, thanks to my decision to pre-register. Upon arrival, the Labor & Delivery Emergency Room nurses were attentive and communicative. They let me know that my water hadn’t broken, I was 3 cm dilated, and my blood pressure was slightly elevated. My doctor made the call to admit me and begin Pitocin and an epidural.
Once transferred to a labor room, I was fortunate to be assigned **Nurse Joy**, who was nothing short of phenomenal. I experienced a scary adverse reaction to the epidural, during which my blood pressure dropped significantly. Joy remained by my side throughout, calling in a second anesthesiologist for further evaluation.
Unfortunately, that anesthesiologist’s response — “What do you want me to do?” — caught me completely off guard and made an already frightening situation worse. Still, Joy’s presence and dedication helped me feel as safe as possible in that moment.
The birth itself went smoothly, and the **night nurses and lactation consultants** in the early postpartum days (Thursday and Friday) were compassionate, helpful, and knowledgeable. I felt supported and well-cared for.
The Negatives: A Sharp Decline in Weekend Care
Unfortunately, my positive experience took a sharp downturn on **Saturday**, when a new shift of staff took over. The issues began after my baby’s temperature dropped slightly following a bath. Initially, this wasn’t considered a concern, as it was likely bath-related. However, as discharge approached, I was told I could leave, but they were hesitant to release my baby — not due to any immediate health concerns, but seemingly out of concern for the doctor’s record if a readmission occurred.
I tried to offer a reasonable alternative: that we go home and I monitor my baby every 2–3 hours, especially since we had a pediatrician appointment early Monday morning. I was told they would only check her temperature every 12 hours, which felt inadequate. The doctor didn’t offer a clear plan of action, and the communication felt more focused on liability than on care.
When I finally decided to proceed with discharge at 4 PM (after a normal temperature reading), things truly deteriorated. I thanked the doctor — her only response was a curt “yeah.” From that point on, I felt **ignored, dismissed, and abandoned**.
Concerning Lapses in Care on Saturday
* **No discharge assistance**: We were not offered help packing, no final checks were performed, no water, no comfort items — nothing.
* **No car seat check** and **alarm bracelet + umbilical clip left on**.
* Despite repeatedly explaining that I brought my own medications (with prior approval from my doctor), they continued scanning hospital-issued prenatal vitamins and charging me. One nurse told me I needed pharmacy clearance, but no one ever followed up.
* **Photographer**: I asked several times for help contacting the hospital photographer since the number provided was disconnected. No one followed through.
* **Paperwork**: The birth certificate and footprint documentation were never filled out.
* **Nurse presence**: After requesting discharge, I only saw my nurse briefly three times. It was as if we no longer existed.
This drastic change from the compassionate care I received earlier in the week to the **disorganized, dismissive treatment** on Saturday left a lasting negative impression on what should have been one of the most joyful experiences of my life.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve communication, continuity of care, and discharge procedures for future patients.

Dr. Aman and Memorial Hermann, do better by your patients.
I understand this is a specialist, but being charged thousands for a 3 minute visit and monitor I didn’t need or use is definitely not caring for patients. Billing, doctor’s office, and insurance all throw up their hands and point their fingers at each other. Stay away or else you’ll be charged outrageous amounts for things you don’t need.
Edit: Received a call from Tanya at the billing department telling me it was my fault that the charges were what they were. Do better, Memorial Hermann.

I just delivered my baby girl today. I am so happy. I am so impressed, and incredibly grateful for every person who took care of us.
From emergency room to post partum. Everyone was excellent. The nurse & doctor at emergency room were nice and attentive.
Dr. Colon-Rodriguez was amazing. I loved her since day one as my provider. I will say the nurses I came across in delivery were such angels. I had an amazing experience here. Very helpful, and attentive. I do recommend the delivery and post partum rooms here. Very clean. And everyone is nice.
