I had a terrible experience at this place with my 3yo son, this morning.
We arrived here after desperately leaving ER at Memorial Hermann City Mall, due to my son constantly vomiting and dehydrating since 3am.
After a long wait at the ER, I decided to leave and let reception know I was withdrawing him to go somewhere else (never saw the doctor), so the reception guy said no problem and that he will let the nurses know. However, they did not took him out of their system, so when I ended up here at the Convenient Care, the receptionist was not able to put our information in the system due to their ER location unable to “release him”. I panicked as my son was getting weaker, due to dehydration, thirsty and vomiting the water immediately after drinking it. I started to cry and insisted she should to do something, since it should not be our problem/fault their system’s issues with starting the check-in process of a patient, while she was just repeating to me and even the security officer came to repeat it, as if I did not understand, that she called the ER location and they said “they will release his information when they can”, with an attitude that was like I was talking to a wall and they did not seem to care at all, she just kept repeating the same thing, that she couldn’t start putting him in their system as their other location has not released him and we had to wait with no estimate wait time.
I left after waiting a while (almost an hour just to ckeck-in) and when I told her we were leaving, she told me that the system still doesn’t let her to checking us in as my son has not been “released” yet. The entire situation was like a closed game, a joke and a nightmare.
I had to go to another urgent care, hoping I never have to encounter a Memorial Hermann hospital ever again. Their inefficiency and lack of empathy should be charged/reported as patient abuse or negligence.

Pathetic billing experience. One month got charged twice instead of once. Next month got charged even though balance was paid off. Keep calling billing office for weeks and leaving messages and no one ever picks up or responds. Horrible! Cant wait for this to be over with and not ever have to deal with them again.

The definition of treat them and street them. The nurses don’t care, the doctors spend as little with you as possible, give you a vague diagnosis without running all the tests necessary, and release the patient without having a safe plan.
A note to the doctors: Patients come to you on one of their worst days of their lives. They need your help and want to feel more comfortable. A diagnosis of exclusion means you actually have to run all of the tests to rule everything out. Do better.
My labor and delivery experience was an excellent experience! I particularly want to thank my doctor (Dr. Maggie Richter) who did my C-section! I also want to thank the amazing nurses. They made my experience a great experience making sure that my baby and I were well taken care of at all times. Many thanks to my doctor and the nurses! I would strongly recommend this hospital for labor and delivery!

I would like to say how easy to work with, great bedside manner and wonderful surgeon Dr. Bunyan is! He explained the procedure and answered all our questions! We highly recommend Dr. Buryan and this facility!

Dr. Ross Bauer was excellent. His bedside manner was the best you can ask for from a physician. He was easy to talk to and introduced himself and his first name. I love a doctor that is down to earth enough to be on a first name basis and he just made talking to him very easy and I felt he cared and was truly listening to me about what had happened to my son. Yes, there was a long wait, but there was also a lot of patients. All the staff were friendly and caring from the receptionist to the triage nurse to the x-ray tech and as mentioned the doctor himself. I wish I knew the x-ray techs name to give him kudos because he was really great as well and I was so thankful my 2 year old slept thru all the positioning as he took his time and worked around my son to get what he needed and keep him comfortable.

****Edit: I was contacted early the next morning by the billing manager Nicole. I was able to have the surgery done on the scheduled date. The care I received at the facility was great which changed the outcome of my initial review. Thank you Nicole for reaching out to me and helping. ****
Surgery was booked and confirmed October 12th at MHSC Kirby Glen. Surgery center contacted me 2 days prior to my surgery date of November 4th to tell me I would need to pay over $2000. Only other options were care credit or pay half and make pay arrangements. I explained that if I had known earlier I could have gotten the money considering I just had to pay for 2 new ac units. The rude rep proceeded to tell me if I couldn’t do the payment I needed to contact my Dr. To reschedule because she gave me my options. The Dr. Office told me what my cost would be on Day 1 of my appointment. What was the surgery centers excuse?? My vacation was scheduled with my employer, arrangements made for the kids/school, preop clearance done and cleared all to be cancelled because I was not informed in time to what was required to pay. I will never go to this facility. Wasted my time and money for preop prep because they did not inform me what would be due. Now I can’t get in until next year when the deductible starts over again!! Incompetent, uncaring billing staff!
