Wouldn't be much to complain about, especially given the prime location other than the room decor and furniture that clearly need some updating, if it weren't for an unpleasant interaction with an employee. I was waiting in line to check in behind a customer who was also checking in, and who was giving the clerk a hard time about some parking discount he expected, so they called in additional staff to check me in. An admirable move. However, the very first interaction with this new staff member was her commanding me to show my credit card. No "hello", no "good evening", na "welcome", nothing like that, only "show me your credit card". I was flabbergasted. "What card?" I asked, knowing full well that purchased this stay on hotels.com, and that the stay was already prepaid. "The card you will be using", was the curt reply. I don't care what the reasons for that kind of attitude were, as it was highly unpleasant and it marred my entire stay that night. Maybe I looked like I didn't belong there? Maybe they wanted to see if I was using a credit card and not debit for incidentals? I really don't care, the treatment was crappy. For comparison, see my review of the University of Houston Hilton where I stayed the two prior nights and where the service was stellar. Maybe the staff at this hotel should take a customer servece refresher course at the Hilton College at the University of Houston....

I was on the fifth floor. Room 511. The ice machine was not operable. My room key did not work on the exterior doors forcing me to park and enter through the lobby all week. The shower water was lukewarm. I learned on the third day that you just have to run the water for about 10 minutes to get a hot shower. I voiced these issues to the hotel, it didn’t seem like it was an urgent issue for them.

First room smelled like wet carpet. Staff was accommodating and moved me to new room that was much better. Definitely an older hotel. Onsite restaurant food was average.

This hotel is all about the location. If this hotel were to be in a different place it wouldn’t be as popular, period. Comparable to a 3 star hotel when it comes to amenities but charges 5 star prices. No issues with that, just facts, so be ready. No free breakfast, we paid $37 for two alcoholic beverages, and about $80 for 4 appetizers. The rooms are on the smaller side, however, I imagine the insulation is good because we didn’t hear anything (other than planes) all night. The front desk people were nice, and the gym is decently equipped. Parking is $10/night regardless you are leaving the car or not (we thought it was free for the duration of the stay but it wasn’t).

I’ve been a loyal Hilton Honors member for roughly 30 years, so my expectations are based on a long history of staying at Hilton properties. I’ve never had a poor enough experience at a Hilton hotel to take the time to write a review until now.
This hotel is newer and very well designed. The rooms are efficiently laid out, the property is attractive, and the staff is consistently polite and professional, although the surrounding neighborhood is somewhat marginal.
At the same time, the staff does not appear empowered to solve problems, and several issues arose during the stay.
The biggest issue for me was parking. The hotel does not have its own parking lot, and nearby parking options are limited, effectively forcing guests to either use a private garage or the hotel’s valet service. The valet staff themselves were excellent, helpful, and prompt, but the $63 per day valet charge is utterly absurd. No one at the hotel was willing or able to address that concern.
Additionally, the hotel does not provide daily room service, and this is not clearly explained during check-in, which created unnecessary inconvenience. On my last day, room service also knocked on my door earlier than expected.
The hotel also failed to keep the soap dispenser in the shower filled during my stay, and the commissary has a very limited selection of bathroom and convenience items. Even the milk served at breakfast was watery, another small but noticeable detail that reflected a lack of operational attention.
On the positive side, the hotel does have a very convenient and easy-to-use self-checkout system.
Overall, the property itself is impressive and modern, but the operational and guest-service shortcomings significantly detracted from the experience.

The rooms were extremely dated and dirty. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the carpet was dingy. One of the elevators was broke which caused some wait times on getting to your room. It seems like this has been an ongoing problem after reading prior reviews. I was unaware that I would have to pay for parking even being a hotel desk. When I got my bill, I was charged for both parking and valet service that I did not use. The only bright spot of my stay was the friendly staff. With being in an affluent area, this hotel is lacking quality! I don’t understand why they have not kept up on this hotel!

The lady at the front desk failed to mention information, upon Check out we paid to park, the lady declined my husband’s team member discount, and the lady in the kitchen said she was closed, when it wasn’t closed just to get coffee. This Hotel definitely needs to be upgraded in all departments. Will not be staying here again!

Staff was great, first and foremost!!! Parking was different, valet parking $58 per night 😳(unexpected), no microwave, breakfast items ran out very quickly, only 2 towels in the room, pillows were worn down, I’ve stayed at way better for the price!!! However the location, was spot on for Toyota Center events…..literally 100 yards away!

The lobby looked great. Staff was pleasant. The room however, left much to be desired. It looked old and dated. The office chair was peeling. The blanket was pilly and felt like dried grass. A duvet or comforter was not even an option. I'd checked via text message. Great location though 👌🏾

This was a convenient place to stay before an early morning flight, but this hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. The lobby looks fine, but the rooms look worn. It does look like they were renovated at some point in the hotel's history, or just certain parts like the sinks in the bathrooms, but overall they could do better. There is a shuttle that will take you to the airport, but we did not use it as we had a rental car.
