The short version
wowpilot is a ratings site with one job: tell you what it was actually like to be a customer of a business before you become one. Five stars is a wow. One star is a warning. Everything in between is the useful part.
We started it because the big review platforms had drifted into a strange place — pages full of glowing scores, criticism that vanished after a phone call, and "verified" badges that meant whatever the marketing department needed them to mean. We wanted the boring, honest version back.
Three promises
- Every rating is checked before it goes live. Not after someone complains — before. Automated filters catch the obvious junk; a person looks at whatever they flag. Here's the whole process.
- Criticism doesn't come down for money. There is no plan, package or phone number that removes a genuine one-star rating. Businesses can reply in public. That's the only lever.
- The score is the score. No sponsored placements, no "featured" businesses bought with ad spend, no ratings hidden behind a sign-up wall. What you see is the same thing everyone sees.
How the money works
Rating a business is free and always will be. Businesses can claim their page for free too. What they pay for are tools on top — inviting customers by email, a live score widget for their own website, insights, team seats. None of it touches the score. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.
Open by design
Our rating rules are public. Every moderation decision is logged with who made it and why, and anything removed can be appealed. We let search engines and AI assistants read the site freely, because if someone asks a chatbot whether a company is any good, we'd rather the answer come from a hundred real customers than from the company's own homepage.
Where you come in
Rate the businesses you've actually used — the great ones and the ones that let you down. Flag anything that looks fake. If you run a business, claim your page and answer your critics in the open. A rating site only works when both sides show up, and we built this one so they can.
