As others have said, the building is beautiful and the food is good, but the medical care is subpar and exploitative. I was transferred to Foundations for a pneumothorax on the strength of the recommendation of a family member. I was to undergo surgery. I arrived on a Wednesday night and was immediately met with a poor emergency room staff (nurses and doctors). They communicated poorly with me and one other. The doctor told me that my x-rays looked good despite the recommendations of my discharge papers. I finally granted a room around 2:00am.
The next day I received a surgical consult and it was deemed I needed surgery to repair the hole in my lung. We scheduled the surgery for Saturday morning at 7:30am. The night before, as I am preparing myself mentally and physically for surgery, I am told by a nurse (around 11:00pm) that my surgery was cancelled. She could offer no reason. Imagine being told mere hours before you go under the knife that it is cancelled, and for no apparent reason.
The next day, Saturday, I inquired with nurses and was told that the hospital's lab was closed from the weekend. And given that it was Labor Day weekend, I may not have my surgery until Tuesday - maybe. Sunday, with the support of family advocates, I inquired more and was informed that the lab is not usually closed on weekends. What actually happened, is the lab was shut down by the state because the hospital failed to turn in the necessary forms. Therefore, Foundations was outsourcing its blood work to private testers. However, this meant that the hospital cannot perform surgeries. I immediately went about transferring to a more professional Houston. Because, it obvious that Foundations is not.
In essence, Foundations admitted me, held me under its "care" for four days, scheduled me for "surgery" with the knowledge that it, in fact, was not able to perform any surgeries. It was simply bilking my insurance. I, nor any member of my family and friends will ever seek care at this hospital again. And, I encourage others in need of truthful, caring, professional health care to seek it elsewhere.

Everyone was nice until July 20th 2016. My husband has had many of procedures done. Tonight he has a rude very unpleasant person that checks vitals. We are on 4th floor. Do not like rude people who act like it's a problem to do their job. I will be speaking to head administrator of this establishment. No need for people to be treated this way.

DENIED my Grandmother's admission to have an amputation because in the words of their rep "we don't want to get stuck with the bill".....REALLY! Foundation, you have really shown your money grubbing hand!

I had major surgery and found it difficult to get help when in pain.
Also an IV was put in the elbow crease of my right arm which set off the
IV alarm every time I moved my right arm (duh!)
A needle was left in my bed
The pharmacy didn't have options if you were allergic to a medicine.
It was pitiful.
