My sister was admitted today. She called me crying and so frightened of this place. She said it smelled of urine and feces with people running around naked. I heard them screaming in the background. Her medication is 6 hours late. The medical system is horribly broken. I couldn't get a nurse to even answer a phone to provide some information. I think this is a state funded facility in which case they do not care about the patients, it seems. I did talk to one person by the name of Ashanti. She was very kind and helpful regarding my sister's care. So this I'm grateful. It seems to me that this facility would want to do better and work on a better reputation and better nursing staff who really care about people. After all, they did study and choose this line of work. Possibly for all of the wrong reasons. The broken mental health and medical systems need to be changed. It's an emergency at this point... my sister is mandated for 72 hours in this facility. After that, we will be moving her out of this place immediately. This place will not help but only set her back. Our family won't allow that to happen. I now understand why their rating is only 2.5. That's really a bad rating for a medical facility. I'm afraid for my sister at this point.

my mom is receiving outpatient therapy here and i can say it did not start off bad, but there have been too many times where transportation is late and they will not update my mom nor i about what time she will be picked up or dropped off. there has now been serval instances of staff avoiding her after she spoke out about the mistreatment, if you have a loved in inpatient care and is recommended for outpatient therapy do not send them here, if you have the option to go to the other location then i recommend that because all they have done is cause more stress on my mom and she does not need that when she is supposed to be receiving help.

Rate it a 0. Poor quality of service and communication. Rude psychiatrist. They sent my husband with Alzheimer’s back in extremely poor physical condition his memory care facility. He was hallucinating and his ability to walk was impaired. He was fine physically when he was admitted. We wanted to to hopefully change his medications to see if it would improve his level of aggression. We got a zombie back.

One of my geriatric patients was recently admitted and the family have been very unhappy with the level of care. NO one from the hospital ever contacted me to discuss my patient being in the hospital or asking for her medical/psychiatric history. The family gave them my information and the fact that I have treated her for many years. Upon discharge, NO ONE from the hospital notified me or sent any medical information for continuity of care. This is the lowest level of medical care and very unprofessional, demonstrating very poor medical operations and poor discharge planning.

The only good thing was an hand full of the staff. Other than that I would not be going back. It's places like that, that makes people not want to reach out for help along with 1st responders. When you let your ego take place instead of listening to your patients who have been fighting for years with the same illnesses you should listen. Just because we there doesn't mean we don't know what is happening. Then they start giving you medicine you don't even need or ones that interferes with other treatments you are on for other medical problems you have. Are you just don't need.

Awful place to put a love one. I was assaulted by a male patient who beat me in my head, while the night shift nurses looked on and was assaulted by male and female staffers nurses and techs when I wasn’t able to speak. They “beat me on my kneecaps with their knuckles and should have sent me to ER for eval of head trams”. I was told to, “go ahead and try to sue the owner and get in line with other patients that tried to sue the company”. I never received a visit from assigned case worker to admit me to facility so I was being held, “illegally and against my will”, even though I fill out one of their forms that would have let me leave within 24 hours, but form was never placed on my chart. I’m sure it was put in the trash just like other incident reports that I wrote up and gave to nurses. I had an order from court to hold me for three days for psych eval and treat but was held another 10 days without an order. I was, and am alert, and oriented x3 and suffer from headaches from being beat in my head. This happened in Feb 2022.

My mother was a patient at this facility for 1 day after being hospitalized. In that one day she had a fall and sustained severe injuries. No one seems to have an explanation as to how the fall happened. To top that off we went to get her belongings only to find that her UGG slippers were no longer in her bag. I can only assume they were stolen by one of the very unprofessional care staff members or they sprouted legs and walked. To say we are one angry and disappointed family is an understatement. I would not recommend this facility to anyone!

First I want to say I volunteered to enter this hospital. They held only three groups the nine days I was there. They do not follow any social distancing guide lines at all. Patient are crammed to table to eat and watch tv. Chairs touch each other. The nurses were either yelling at patients or each other all the time it was a crazy environment. The men and women were housed in the same hall. Men entered women’s rooms several times a day and no one did anything to stop it. The rooms had ant that would bite you while you slept. The nurses threatened to slap the patient and even acted like they were going to. They threatened to send 2 of the patients to a hospital worse than this that you will never come back from. This was the nurses words. One women only spoke Spanish and instead of down loading a translation app on their phones, which the were on all the time, they just told her to sit down and be quiet every time she tried to talk with them. They did not want any patients walking around so all you would here was them saying sit down. The nurses changed one patients pull-up in the hall in front of everyone, there were four men and five women in the hall when the nurse pulled up her dress and took off the old pull up and then put a new one on. Her room was one door down. The nurse should have taken her to her room to preserve her dignity. Men use the restroom in my room, came over to my bed while I was sleeping, and even took naps in my bed during the day. I was afraid to shower for fear of men walking in on me. I eve became to scared to sleep. I stayed awake at night and slept in recliner in the day room during daytime for safety. One did walk in the restroom while I was using it. Most of the patients had dementia and had no ideal where they were and could not speak up for themselves. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A HOSPITAL FROM HELL. I RECOMMEND THAT NO-ONE GO TO THIS PLACE AND PLEASE IF YOU HAVE FAMILY THERE GET THEM MOVED TO A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL. When I requested to leave in righting they kept giving excuses to why I could not leave. They gave me a copy of my patient rights upon entering but refused to follow them when I requested to leave. They changed my medicine for the nine days I was there and discharged me without prescription.
I had no choice but to go back to my previous medicine.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My dad was there less than two days, then we got a call he had been vomiting blood for 12 hours and they had just sent him to the hospital! Why did they wait 12 hours to send him to the ER? We never got an answer. Once in the ICU there was evidence of my father’s feet and legs that he had been dragged across the floor - wounds that were NOT there before he was admitted to Oceans. Sadly, my father never recovered and passed away a couple days later. Don’t send anyone here. Find someplace else.

Awful...I recently had my mother here and it was the worst experience. I could not get the Dr. to return my calls. I overheard the nurses talking about a female staff member that died in the admissions area about 1yr and 1/2 ago. Administration did not stop admissions! My gosh! They covered her up with a blanket on the floor and kept admitting patients!! Nurses complaining on being short staffed without any help from the leadership nurses. The DON and ADON don't ever leave their offices. These nurses were sharing other places of opportunities to apply and leave here. I called one night to speak to my mother and could hear the staff arguing loudly with the elderly patients. My mother was never brought to the phone and apparently a staff member just hung up the phone. My mother was clearly over sedated when she was returned to assisted living. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. I work in healthcare and am seriously considering calling STATE.
