Very disappointed in this hospital as usual. There's never any parking available adding the construction has only made it worse. People don't seem to know where people need to go when they have tests that need to be performed. We had two instances where we had to go in and get test done before surgery and in both occasions we were told the wrong location you would think somebody would know where people need to go when you have to have a PFT testing done. Or whether you need to have a CAT scan done in the heart center or at the main hospital. I'm surprised HCA hasn't been sued before just for the lack of communication. And with all that construction you're doing what you should do is fix the handicap ramps so that wheelchairs can travel on the handicap ramps carefully and safely. Your side parking where your employees park that handicap ramp coming from the walkway to the hospital is so dangerous. It's not a smooth transition there's potholes in that area. Simple things to fix yet HCA can't seem to do it not surprised.
The only reason why we had to have the test there is because this is the only location closest to us that can perform this surgery that needs to be done for my father. If it was up to me we would never go to this hospital ever.

I don’t usually post things like this, but I can’t stay quiet after what we are currently experiencing.
My dad was transferred from a sister hospital location with pneumonia and gallstones after already having labs and imaging completed — just to arrive here and have everything repeated with no clear communication as to why. Not once did anyone come in to thoroughly explain his ultrasound results or what the actual plan of care was.
Instead, we were met with dismissive attitudes and a nurse who was incredibly rude, brushing off concerns and saying the doctor was considering discharging him — completely contradicting what we were told at the previous hospital, where admission was strongly recommended.
On top of that, the condition of the facility was unacceptable. Trash left on the floor, lack of cleanliness, and an overall environment that did not feel safe or cared for — especially for someone already sick and vulnerable.
Oh and don’t bother pressing the nurse button because it either does not work or they completely ignore it. What if it were an actual emergency?
Also, no bandage wrap??? It took 10 minutes to find bandage wrap so he can take out my father’s IVs. I literally am baffled.
This is not okay. Patients deserve clear communication, consistency in care, compassion, and a clean environment — bare minimum.
Do better.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!!
THEY THREATEN TO CALL CPS ON ME AND MY FAMILY.!!!!!!!!!
My wife gave birth recently. Every single Nurse was so great and helpful.
We have multiple children, take great care of all of them. Our children (like most children) all have been born with slightly higher level Bilirubin levels. 2 of my kids were yellow when they came out so obviously they needed treatment.
Our newborn is eating, pooping and has perfect color, borderline bilirubin levels. He has a pediatrician appointment in 2 days. We are ready to be discharged. Healthy momma and Healthy baby.
I asked to sign an AMA since he is fine and will be fine. The pediatrician that was in the hospital said if i do that they would contact CPS.
I am being held here against my will because if i decide to leave they will call CPS.
Someone needs to call CPS on the hospital with all the unneeded vaccines they try to push on newborns.

Was sent to this hospital by a doctor who I had never met. I was supposed to see him at his office but his office called me while I was being driven from my home in Louisiana which is 3 1/2 hours away to go straight to the hospital and get admitted. After being admitted and spending 19 hours in the emergency room before getting a room. The doctor that I was assigned to saw me maybe for about 3 minutes the next day and the vascular team was even worse. Saw them twice in 4 days for about 3 or 4 minutes. When I asked what were the plans for treatment he said he didn’t know and wouldn’t say until some test were done. When I asked when they were going to run test he said he didn’t know that either. Test were finally done on the 3rd evening. When I inquired about my test and not being seen by the doctors only 2 times in the 4 days I was there I was being discharged. The doctor didn’t even have the decency to come tell me face to face he called the nurse and had her tell me. They never even tried to find out what was causing the problem. They just sent me home plus I had to find somebody to come get me which was not easy being 3 1/2 hours from home. Oh and by the way don’t get me started on the food at the hospital. I feel like a dog in the pound got better treatment than I did.

Absolutely horrible experience. My mom is not being checked on regularly, and there are hours between visits from staff. During shift changes, the lack of continuity is especially concerning—there have been multiple instances where she did not meet her new nurse for up to three hours.
This level of inattentiveness is unacceptable, especially in a hospital setting where patients rely on timely care and monitoring. It makes me feel extremely uncomfortable leaving her alone because I cannot trust that her needs will be addressed in a reasonable timeframe.
The nursing staff has been largely unresponsive and inattentive, and it feels like basic patient care is being overlooked. Patients and families should not have to worry about whether someone will come check on them. I expected a much higher standard of care and accountability.

I was admitted January 2025 at the Clear lake location. I was taken to my room and was given a psych evaluation where I was told I had anxiety and depression. I fought this diagnosis, I was fainting, rapidly losing weight, and had extreme fatigue. Then I was given a cardiac stress test, the dr assistant doing the test said that I had prolonged qt. But, when I read the results the admitting cardiologist said everything was fine. I confronted him and he said that they were monitoring my QT. I then told him he needed to amend the test because this would hinder future diagnosis and since they labeled me as depressed and had anxiety it would be hard to get anyone to look at the REAL reason I was fainting. This became an all out attack on me from that point on. I had a really bad bladder infection and was dehydrated I asked for treatment of those things because this could be a “ perfect storm” causing an elevation in my QT and causing my fainting. They refused, until I pressed the issue. Then I was given antibiotics and no hydration. I door dashed liquid IV. I was discharged, still fainting and still with tachycardia and no resolution. I went directly to Methodist were I was IV treated for dehydration and given Iv antibiotics for my bladder infection. I returned to Methodist were I was diagnosed with Pots, and prolonged QT. I had a prior surgery with HCA Clearlake and the staff and drs were excellent. I had faith that this hospital would help me get to the bottom of my ailments. This incident was extremely traumatic the attending Cardiologist and hospital coordinator were behaving very unprofessionally and even seemed as if they were trying to “fix” my chart to make it seem as if I was the problem. I was scared and sick and medical gaslighting is a REAL thing.

I was a little disappointed with this hospital after we received the medical records on my partner and our ER experience. The MD we never saw in person, stated incorrect facts about what the family said about his concerns. My partner went two days without his medically necessary medications. Luckily, his condition is very well controlled so he did not have any issues. He was also kept in the Ambulance in the ER bay for about an hour. The staff acted like they wanted to disregard the MPOA and POA to release information to us, while not allowing us to see him. We tried to call the nurses station as direct but was on hold for extensive amount of time each time we called, and never spoke to anyone. There are a couple more issues but I do not want to release to much info. But I felt like we were only a Medical Record number to them with no concern on our feelings or worries about our loved one.

I only came because my specialist asked me to come here. But next time I have to go to the hospital im never coming here. Nurses with attitudes. I had been asking to take a shower for hours already and at first I was told no. Then I was told to wait for my antibiotics to finish. Then I could take a shower. Also had been asking for meds I need and omg do they take forever. I could died in this place. They would not have known. Very upset patient.

HCA Houston Leadership, if you are actually reading this. What are the actions on addressing all these concerns and bad reviews in this hospital, specifically the ER? Its very unfortunate and concerning to see some of the nurses completely lost due to poor communication and confusion within the team and departments. How can they be trusted? What type of training does the staff have for bed side manners and empathy? People come to the ER for fast quality care. All we saw was one or 2 nurses running around doing all the work, while others laughing and joking with other nurses in front of patients waiting to be seen that are in pain. I was sitting next to an older gentleman that had been waiting patiently with an IV in him for it to be taken out for about 2-3 hours. After asking repeatedly with attitude as a response from a nurse, he finally got frustrated, ripped his IV out and left the ER with blood dripping down his arm. I hope that leadership really reads this and gets on the floor to see whats actually going on in the ER. You are leadership and thats what should be done routinely to adhere and demonstrate your key core values of quality, performance and most of all compassionate care. Looking forward to getting an actual meaningful response from leadership and not a scripted one that is seems to be a copy and paste like the others.

Avoid this place at all costs. The lack of communication and care is unacceptable. I’m a veteran who went in with severe pain and bleeding after being referred from a nearby ER for GI evaluation and procedure. I was admitted, placed on NPO, and told I’d be seen by a GI doctor for a procedure. Instead, I experienced delays, confusion about my care, and conflicting information from staff. Hours later, I was unexpectedly told I could eat because nothing in my chart restricted it. The GI doctor never came in person and later called to say no procedure would be done based on old records, despite my current symptoms. I was kept there only for “monitoring,” which felt unnecessary and like it was just increasing my bill. Patient Relations and staff offered apologies but no real solutions. I left still in pain and actively bleeding, with no proper evaluation or treatment. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I will be following up with my VA doctor and will not return.
