The parking lot is often littered with empty alcohol bottles, and the floors in the hospital rooms are noticeably dirty. Basic supplies such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer are difficult to get restocked. While most of the staff are attentive and polite, they appear overworked and can occasionally seem short. Tests and scans tend to take a long time, so much of the experience involves waiting without activity.

Hello, I am 41 years old and I came in for surgery on June 10th 2026. This was my first surgery and I didn't know what to except. But the women that took care of me before my surgery and during were so amazing. I ended up staying overnight. This is when my experience about this hospital changed completely. I had multiple nurses coming in my room right after surgery asking was I ready to go home. I could not keep my eyes open and I was very short of breathe. My husband and nurse Moses had to help me to the restroom because I was so weak and couldn't stand or walk by myself. Also, I was nauseous, and asked for oxygen because when I would try to rest I would stop breathing and it would scare me and wake me up. I did let my nurse know and he just laughed in my face, the experience with him was so crazy. Because he would laugh at everything I was going through or how I was feeling. Smh it was really upsetting to me. I kept saying to myself just make it to 7pm, because i knew the night shift was coming. This same nurse kept asking all day if I was ready to go home to the point I started crying. By than the head nurse came in and asked me the same thing. My husband has to explain to her that I wasn't in any shape to leave at the moment. I did stay overnight and the nurses overnight were ao amazing 👏👏🌟 Ania, Courtney and Holly took great care of me. Ania was my nurse she gave me fluids and different medication and I could feel me comes back to myself, I thank her the whole night because she made sure I was taken care of. Without her I really don't know what would have happened. Because I was in such bad shape it blows my mind to have so many people coming in my room right after mt surgery and didnt help me at all😭 but the next morning I was eating and ready to go home. I would probably not come back here or refer this hospital to my love ones. I will forever be grateful for the night staff because they made all the difference 💛

Some of the staff are wonderful, but overall, our visit was lousy. You absolutely must have a family member or friend advocating on your behalf to make sure that you are getting the appropriate care. We are switching doctors so that we never have to stay in this hospital again.

The most rudest under staffed hospital I ever seen. The staff members are so unprofessional, the day shift on south tower 2000 room numbers. The one who answer the phone for them on that side (south tower 2000 rooms)Cathy has no empathy, and should not be allowed to even answer the phone there. The only people I find that had class was the nurses in charge. So far and the nutrition department. I would never send or refer my enemies to that unprofessional uncaring place. Just remember to the staff you have family as well.

Horrible Hospital Service
This hospital had very horrible service and staff. I stayed here overnight for 2 days and it was horrible as nurses took forever and gave me an attitude when I asked if they can give me medicine and give me a remote for the tv. Our room was hot and maintenance was complaining and cussing out loud that they had to fix the temperature. The food given here was not appetizing as my food was chicken was just dipped in nothing but pepper and rock solid.
I was unsatisfied with this hospital

My 80-year-old mother was transported by ambulance to HCA Kingwood’s ER. She waited approximately 14 hours to get into an observation room and another 14–15 hours before finally receiving an inpatient room.
The most concerning issue was the delay in carrying out physician orders. An NG tube was ordered the morning she arrived, yet nothing was done for approximately eight hours. I overheard the physician expressing frustration that the order had still not been completed, and later heard a nurse say she had not read the order. When nurses finally attempted placement, there were multiple unsuccessful and painful attempts before the physician placed it himself. We were repeatedly told the NG tube was critical, yet after placement it was connected incorrectly and remained that way until nurse Courtney discovered and corrected the problem about 20 hours later.
Communication throughout the hospitalization was poor. Ordered IV fluids were delayed for hours, a needed CT scan was repeatedly promised but delayed, and nurses often told us they had not yet reviewed my mother’s orders. We constantly had to advocate to ensure basic aspects of her care were completed.
The ER environment was chaotic, overcrowded, and uncomfortable, with a heavy police presence and disruptive incidents occurring nearby.
People may wonder why we didn’t transfer her elsewhere. At 80 years old, after days of waiting, an NG tube placement, and ongoing treatment, starting over at another ER would have been extremely difficult and disruptive.
While there were a few excellent staff members, including Courtney, our overall experience reflected serious breakdowns in communication, execution of orders, and patient care. If you have other options, I would encourage you to consider them.

My husband was brought to this hospital by ambulance after being referred from TopCare Minor Emergency. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
The nurses only put the monitors on his fingers, checked his blood pressure, and collected blood and urine samples. His urine sample sat on the bedside table for about two hours. When I asked a nurse about it, she simply told me it was fine.
My husband needed medication for severe acid reflux. We were repeatedly told they would ask the doctor, but after waiting over two hours, nothing happened. My husband finally had to get up and look for the doctor himself to request the medication.
We eventually left the hospital without the doctor ever coming to properly examine my husband or explain his condition or test results.
The cleanliness of this hospital was also unacceptable. It was very dirty. I have seen public hospitals that are much cleaner than this one. I was also surprised to see a nurse named Chantel working while wearing bright pink house slippers instead of appropriate work shoes.
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hospital. The lack of communication, delays in care, poor cleanliness, and unprofessional appearance made this a very disappointing visit.
