I was in for a ventral hernia procedure. Everything seemed to go smoothly. I especially love that the care team stayed with me until certain bodily functions could be verified after the procedure. I very much appreciate their dedication to their jobs and to me.

The care was amazing. The only problem i experienced was that my wife was told the operation took about an hour. 3.5 hours later, as I just woke up in the recovery area, they still hadn't informed her I was even out of surgery. She was very upset, as in crying because she worried something had gone wrong. My surgery did go long. That's when someone should have spoke with her.

Chekayla my nurse in tower 4 was absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Only complain I have is the backup wait times for patients that are coming in on emergencies. If you are in line to see certain doctors for me is was for MRI and EEG, then you will be pushed back endlessly until there are no immediate emergency patients needing those services. Other than that man... I cant make a SINGLE COMPLAINT. Food services were good, nursing staff does the best they can getting to all their patients, and you have entertainment to get you through the waiting times if you have a long wait as I did because of the emergency patient intake.

I went to the Wound Care Center in one of the professional buildings of the HCA Complex in Webster (Clear Lake) for treatment of a chronic diabetic ulcer on my big toe. My review splits into parts. I loved Dr. Morrison and the nursing staff. Dr. Morrison would communicate his thought process and knew what would help and what to avoid. He took questions and gave detailed answers. Five stars for Dr. Morrison.
Now, the business practices....grrrrr. One star for the lack of transparency in billing. I wanted to pay my copay on each of my three visits, but was told that I would be billed since they don't take payments in the office. After my third visit, I called the business office for HCA and was told that billing occurs monthly and that they don't have the codes yet for the services.
When I went in early June, the receptionist wanted all the forms signed again for the month. I finally got the office manager involved asking what was going on with my $60 copays. He honestly didn't know how I was being billed, but he found out. I left the visit without being treated until we could get this resolved.
Unbelievably, I learned by email that each visit was being billed as an outpatient procedure with a $100.00 copay and deductibles. I haven't been billed yet from HCA hospital, but I think I'm in for a huge, unexpected bill and a fight with the billing folks. I've been to plenty of wound center visits where just my copay is taken, so this is an unpleasant surprise.
The office staff needs to pay more attention to their "you have a right to a good faith estimate" sign. My office visits were just that, office visits. In no way were these "outpatient procedures". So, an "A" for Dr. Morrison and a big, fat "F" for the business practices.

Rebecca and Rosalyn are absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived, they treated me with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Rebecca, the MRI technologist, was incredibly patient and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. She explained everything clearly, helped ease my nerves, and made what could have been a stressful experience much easier.
Rosalyn was just as wonderful. Her warm personality, caring heart, and genuine concern for patients truly stood out. She went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and cared for.
Together, Rebecca and Rosalyn make an exceptional team. Their dedication, teamwork, and outstanding patient care are a true blessing. It’s rare to find healthcare professionals who are not only highly skilled but also so compassionate and attentive. I am deeply grateful for the care I received and highly recommend them to anyone needing imaging services.
Thank you both for making such a positive difference in my experience!
Staff and support would probably rate 4 stars, but the room I was placed in following surgery was not what I would expect in a hospital. The room was outdated and definitely not set-up to accommodate someone following back surgery. The bathroom was small and no rails were provided to assist at the toilet. The room needed repair to fix holes in sheetrock, the phone did not work, Basically, the room was in need of a total remodel.

I recently had an outpatient procedure at HCA Clear Lake Hospital, and my experience was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish.
Having surgery can be nerve-racking, but the nurses and staff made me feel comfortable, cared for, and supported every step of the way. I would especially like to recognize RN Jessica, RN Lola, RN Sherry, and RN Jada for the exceptional kindness, compassion, and attention they showed me. Their caring attitudes truly made all the difference and helped ease my anxiety.
I would also like to thank the anesthesiologist for making me feel comfortable and at ease before my procedure.
Most importantly, I want to recognize Dr. Deya Dafashy, who performed my surgery. He was incredible. From the care he provided to the excellent outcome of my procedure, I could not have asked for a better surgeon. My pain afterward was very minimal, which speaks volumes about his skill and gentle approach. I truly felt I was in great hands throughout the entire process.
Thank you to the entire team at HCA Clear Lake Hospital for providing such outstanding care. Everyone treated me with kindness, respect, and professionalism, and I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful experience I had.

It was a very disconnected experience at first. I had an MRI scheduled for 7a. When I arrived at 6:30 there was no one at the front desk to direct me i had to figure out wherev to go. Then when I found the admitting office. I was not greeted by a person. I was handed an ipad to check in. No one to ask questions too. No one.
After I finished the admitting process I problems finding the imaging department because there was no one to ask. Once iv found it this in radiology were very pleasant and personable. But when it was time to give me an IV the has to keep sticking me. I was stuck in both arms befote they had to send to get an ultrasound guided IV installation

My follow up appointment for stitches removal was unprofessional, the Intake nurse made me wait for 15 extra minutes to give me my discharge papers. I had to approach her to ask her if she could Please give me my discharge papers ( which were incorrect and not relevant to my after care so I waited for no reason) and when I approached her she was chitchatting with a fellow employee, and then an additional employee asked her. “Why are you making her wait for the discharge papers?” She laughed and said “ my bad.” Secondly, the employee who removed my stitches( they were on my face) did not wear a mask or gloves to remove my sutures, his hands smelled dirty and his breath was bad. Overall, I have never experienced such an unsanitary unprofessional environment in my life. The best part about the entire experience is when I had a follow up phone call about my experience, the woman said “ awww I’m sorry” what is the point of a follow up if that is the response? I am a very nice polite person but I am astonished by the exceptional lack of care in your ER facility.
