I’ve had only horrible experiences with this hospital. Please take yourself and loved ones ANYwhere else.
First, my sister in law was in excruciating stomach pain. Said nothing was wrong and sent her off with strong ibuprofen.
The next day I drove her to Houston, the actual Houston Methodist Hospital, where they actually listened to her and SHE HAD AN ULCER IN HER UTERUS AND A UTI. Baytown Methodist completely dismissed her and did not care.
Second, my 89 year old grandma. She arrived in a soaked depends, and when I went to check on her after her being in the ER for two hours already, SHE WAS STILL SOAKED. I HAD TO BRING UP THAT SHE NEEDED HER URINE CHECKED. Turns out it was a UTI. Something they absolutely would not have checked because she “came in for a fall.”
The most recent time she had to take an ambulance to this horrible hospital was for intense hip pain. She has a blood clot in her vein. She needs blood thinners as it’s too risky to operate. THEY CHOSE TO MAIL HER BLOOD THINNERS TO HER HOME. She needs the blood thinners IMMEDIATELY. It can very literally kill her.
She has been to the hospital 5 times in the last two months. And of all the times, we have had only 2 nurses that seemed to care, and were competent.
If an emergency happens I will give the ambulance clear instructions not to take her here. The reality is she will die because of this hospital if she goes again.

I came in to the emergency room for my 10m old son and the experience was horrible. We came in around 9pm and we didn't leave until 8am. The nurses and staff, are so unorganized, they allow sick adult who have covid, Flu, or any type of virus to stay in the infant area. Once we were called, they sat us down in the reception area ❗️(NOT A ROOM SO YOUR CHILDS PRIVATE WILL BE EXPOSED TO PEOPLE WHO ARE ALSO WAITING)❗️ and try to apply a pee bag on my son, but the nurse did not do it right so he ended up peeing all over his clothes. Then they proceeded to run a simple Flu, Covid, and Strep Test 3hrs in. During the waiting it took 4hrs for them to finally, tell me the results. (They've been had the results, but got lazy and decided they're just gonna have people wait so that the morning shift can deal with everything). Finally we got a curtain. again ❗️(NOT A ROOM)❗️ and I seen and heard nurses who I don't even think they were nurses because they didn't attend to nobody they're literally there, just to get paid and gossip about not wanting to attend, two certain patients because of "how it is disgusting to treat them " and that they would "rather kill themselves". Another nurse even complained that she was not receiving help and that she was doing everything alone. Mind you I gave this hospital a second chance, the first I didn't even bother staying because the nurse who checked us in was getting irritated by my 4 day old newborn who was crying, and she also had a hard like cigarettes 🚬 smell. I wouldn't trust this place with my life.

I have always liked Methodist Hospital and have never had an issue until recently, which has me rethinking ever using them again. They use a vendor called Houston Radiology Associates for their CTs and imaging. This vendor is horrible, and shame on Methodist for not choosing a better vendor. I have called them four times over two months about a bill from when I was at Methodist. Methodist made the mistake and gave them the incorrect insurance information, not me, and it has become a nightmare. It has gotten so bad that I am going to file a complaint with the FTC for them trying to collect a debt I do not owe. I have looked up this vendor, and they have a lot of complaints about billing. Shame on Methodist for using such a company. If I had known I was going to be harassed, I would have gone to Memorial Hermann.

My wife and unborn baby went here recently due to her having pain and tightness in stomach and she already had an appt scheduled for later that day. She arrived shortly after 6 am. Seen by nurse staff and Dr. Patel in reasonable time. Dr. Patel informed her around 6:30a ambulance entourage to transfer her to a local hospital that had OBGYN onsite in ER. Nearly an hour later no one had come back in to check on her. My wife called out Dr. Patel and yelled help, but no one came. My wife called and informed me she was still awaiting for an ambulance. She then called the front desk and the security officer transferred her back to the nurse desk. A new shift nurse said that the ambulance would be arriving in 5 mins @ 7:35a and if she left it would be against medical advice.
My wife signed the form and left due to our baby having a normal heartbeat when she was taken back. Staff neglected to respond to her and our unborn baby until she decided to leave to follow up @ a scheduled appt. Dr. Patel was @ Nurses desk when she left and asked why she didn’t want to wait a few more mins. She simply responded I called out for help and no one came even called your name. Then she left.
The great news in our situation is my wife and baby were okay when she went to her scheduled appt just false labor contractions which is what Dr. Patel anticipated just suggested a transfer to confirm.

Nonetheless, ppl go to the ER seeking care in time of emergency even if they have to be transported.
We would not recommend this facility to anyone expecting honesty and upfront communication. Because they have the available staff here just not adequate care, unless you decide to leave, smh.
Again we’re thankful to GOD and JESUS that our family was okay.

Understaffed, met by a security guard. Told to fill out forms before seeing a nurse aid.
Initial staff not very concerned with my daughter's bleeding foot.

This is patient Roderick J. White today is Monday June 15 of 2026 as I am typing this comment this area is having bad weather a flash flood watch and with heavy rain. Prior to my arrival I called to let the receptionist know that I would be late due to the flooding and traffic my appointment was for 11:00 AM and I arrived at 11:25 AM. Now I’m being told that I will be seen due to Methodist policy. All I was doing was a hospital follow up so that I can return to work today. METODIST has let me down once again. This location only received a 3 star review and I can understand why they only have 3 stars it should be negative 10. I am really disappointed and want to find a new doctor. Thanks for nothing.

The nurse who saw me today, Jewel Rotella, had the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced.
She spoke to me in an abrupt, aggressive, and dismissive manner throughout the visit. Rather than feeling heard or respected as a patient, I felt talked down to and pressured. The interaction was so uncomfortable that I chose to leave rather than continue being spoken to in that way and lose more of my time.
Patients deserve to be treated with courtesy, empathy, and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience during this visit.

I delivered my first baby back in August. Maybe 2 out of 15 staff members that assisted me provided good care. Poor communication skills, nurses whispering to each as I was getting my cervix checked, stated “she’s ready to push”. I had to ask to clarify if I was ready and how long until my doctor could deliver. Multiple times I had to ask for an update on the wait time. I was poked 6 times for my IV until a third nurse was able to assist. I received my Catheter and felt all of the pain because my epidural hadn’t kicked in all the way. I could go on and on about how this place made my delivery a nightmare. Please do better, I understand when other patients are of high priority but communication skills and empathy need to be practiced, at the end of the day you nurses signed up for this role. Management should have tough conversations, nurses- if your heart is not it, please seek a different career.
