I was in this Kindred for 21 days and at 1st it was creepy and the nurse on my admission day was weird and a lil rude but I didn't challenge her, I let her make it....but to be in the medical field that has to be a passion, because if you're there for the check only.... you're at the wrong career. I have many angels that took very good care of me. Not 1 time were they impatient, sarcastic or jus left me to fin for myself...... Physical Therapy dept- Thank you Torian, Alely & LaToya for all the help and conversations that were shared. The CNAs- Thank you to LaKendra, Shelithia, Lucretia and Ashlyn.....those ladies were definitely on point every given time. They talked to me, helped me in many ways, made my bed, they were just AWESOME, attitude was pleasant each and every time. My nurses- these listed really showed compassion and care Georgia & Dawn & Jocelyn & Janis & Jovan...... Whenever they were at work, I knew my day would be easy peasy. Kindred needs to better the Cafeteria really bad but their chef salads was 💯 everytime I got them. Thanks to Mandy, Monica for your much needed assistance. My biggest Thank You goes to Alma(wound care) Elvira(asst to Dr)....these ladies was so beautiful inside and out. I mentioned her already but this lady helped me bathe myself when nobody stepped up....Mrs. Shelithia she's the GOAT and good at what she does. Ms. Lakenya offered baths and always willing to get me whatever I needed. Those ladies need a raise and recognition. Not all ppl are there for money only! If I ever have to come back that way- I pray those ladies are still there. My overall experience was good but it can use improvements in the cafeteria.

the only reason this place gets a 3 is because of their amazing doctors, some pt & the imu nurses.
my father was transferred to their icu & was high risk for aspiration due to his trachea. he was none verbal & immobile at that time so he could not say what he wanted, only to us that we had already been dealing with figuring out his needs. the nurses at the icu were no where to be found most of the time we were there that we had to go everyday to ensure he was properly taken care of. there were 3 occasions where he threw up while i was with him due to his secretions & cleaned him up everytime. the 2 times that happened, me and another family member went to ask someone in the nurses station, they were more concerned about us being out the room with the gowns (we were only told to put them on certain times but it wasn’t required) on then immediately checking in on him. there was only 1 nurse he was comfortable with because she was the only one making sure he was ok. we believed that the reason we never saw them was because they were understaffed & over worked with many patients which we gave them grace for as being an icu nurse is not easy, however, after he was transferred to the imu upstairs, we were told by the nurses & doctors there that they only have 2 patients to ensure they could closely monitor their patients since they are very critical. he received more attention & care in the imu from his lovely nurses there than the icu. after what he had survived & was still in critical condition, it is completely unacceptable that the nurses in the icu didn’t take their job more seriously. DO NOT let your loved one be brought to this icu.
