This place is horrible in customer service!!!! Upon taking a family member in for a surgical procedure and being advised of a pre-procedure amount being owed due to deductible not being met we were met with a very rude and un willing to work with us attitude! This was not a. Elective Surgical procedure by any means, therefore we were over a barrel. My family member is an hourly paid worker at a restaurant and the amount requested was almost $3,000. We asked if $1k would be scans payment for the balance would work, No they said it had to be 1-2 and the repaid in 3 months!!! No wiggle room whatsoever. Three months. We borrowed from another family member another $1k leaving $1k to be paid in 3 months at around $300 a month pluse due to the fact it was the first of the month the payment will be due the first of the month when rent is due. I asked if they could move the due date since they are auto debiting her account and they refused to do so. Well good for them because her rent will be paid and there won’t be any money for them now because they refuse to move their damn payment to the 15th on her next check. So totally unreasonable these people! She met all their hops and they still can’t help.

Would not recommend. My aunt was given a room and was moved to a smaller room in the middle of the night to accommodate another patient. The hospital asked her without notifying the family knowing she was 82… the new room was cluttered and dirty. The staff was rude to her, including telling her she could NOT have new water. The nurse asked her to STOP calling. I have never witnessed such behavior from a nurse or CNA. This staff does not care for their patients at all.

I came in for a kidney stone only for them to make me feel like I'm more in pain by kicking my mom out because she was trying to give some other person directions didn't get any help with my pain at all took 4 hours for a pregnancy test which does not take that long oh and they lost my test could not find it didn't even get a ct cause they could find my pee test or blood test I was there for 5 hours they security kicked my mom out for no reason she didn't let any body in there and the cameras can prove it. They had a lady that went in there 3 or 4 time and couldn't even remember her face. That's what really upsets me cause how do I know the cop was a real cop or the nurse was a nurse that work there how do I know they weren't crazy there are people all the time like cops and nurse that have killed or injured people I do I know they not sycko. I had to walk across the street in pain and didn't get help from the HOSPITAL STAFF signed my self out cause I was getting no help instead I just got in more pain and stressed out so yeah I will be calling HR and if I can maybe sue and it crazy to me why there was no HR there I'm very disgusted with how I was treated and how my mom was treated

Look up 'Iatrogenic Cardiac Perforation' and see if you want to come here. 2 for 1 open heart surgeries.....one to repair a heart valve and another to repair the damage done when the Post OP doctor harpooned my left ventricle with a pigtail when he tried to fix a left collapsed lung....without imaging. NEVER EVER GO BACK HERE!

don't ever go to this hospital system

Hamza Salim

arrived at 2pm

either several people lied to me or there is a major lack of communication between groups

no meeting with a neurologist on which was the reason I was admitted and stayed overnight

discharge notes entered at 4 pm next day by DR I never saw and who is also not the neurologist I was supposed to see

none of what he wrote in the notes was discussed with me as he never came back

notes made by doctors and nurses in the chart are incorrect including a DR saying he visited with me and he did not and tests run that were not

was told I was discharged at 4pm and when I tied to leave at 8pm was told that I couldn't without signing a AMA form and that no one would follow up with me because I was leaving

overall experience was admitted and then
waited over 30 hrs for a MRI when everyone was made aware when I arrived by ambulance because of a stroke

My brother was transferred by ambulance to Memorial Hermann Medical Center after being evaluated at a Livingston ER for facial drooping and swelling of the sella region, with concerns including a possible brain tumor and the need for neurosurgical evaluation.
Because his condition was considered potentially emergent, he had been kept NPO at the first hospital and had not eaten or had anything to drink since approximately 11:00 a.m. the previous day. After arriving at Memorial Hermann, he was told by a physician that he was allowed to eat and drink. Despite this, he spent the entire night in a hallway bed in the Emergency Department and repeatedly requested water from multiple staff members. No one provided him with water.
Around 6:00 a.m., after spending the night in a hallway under bright lights and unable to sleep, he was finally moved to a room. Within minutes, he was taken for an MRI that lasted approximately three hours. After returning to the room, he met his new nurse following shift change.
My brother, who was frightened, exhausted, emotionally overwhelmed, and facing the possibility of a brain tumor, explained that he had repeatedly requested water and had not eaten or had anything to drink since the previous day. The nurse responded that she would not provide water until he spoke to her more respectfully. While I understand that healthcare workers deserve respect, patients facing serious neurological concerns also deserve compassion and basic care.
The interaction continued to deteriorate. My brother felt dismissed, ignored, and treated as though his concerns were unimportant. At one point, he became so distressed that he removed his monitoring equipment and physically searched for water himself because no one had met this basic need despite numerous requests.
What is most concerning is not simply the wait time. Emergency Departments are busy, and delays happen. The issue is that a patient being evaluated for a possible brain tumor or stroke-related symptoms was left feeling abandoned, ignored, and dehumanized while asking for something as basic as water after being told he was permitted to drink.
I have attempted to contact the hospital regarding this experience and have been unable to obtain meaningful assistance or even identify the nurse involved. I am posting this review in hopes that hospital leadership will investigate what occurred and address the lack of communication, compassion, and patient-centered care that my brother experienced.
No patient facing a potentially life-changing diagnosis should be treated this way.

Disgraceful lack of care, zero coordination, and left a patient in agony for 4 days just to discharge her
If you want a hospital that treats your loved one like a medical file on a computer screen rather than a human being in agony, take them to Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center. My mother was admitted on Thursday in excruciating pain, and what followed was four days of systemic negligence, wasted time, and broken promises, ending with her being pushed out the door still unable to walk.
Thursday & Friday (The Wasted Days): We waited an entire day just for a lumbar MRI. On Friday, the neurosurgery resident, Dr. Rash, looked at the MRI on a computer, saw a herniated disc, and confidently promised us she would have surgery on Sunday and "go back to normal." He scheduled a major spinal surgery without performing a thorough, hands-on physical exam to see if the image matched her actual clinical pain.
Saturday (The Waiting Game): We wasted another entire day just waiting for her to be transferred to Floor 5.
Sunday (The Surgical Failure): Sunday morning was supposed to be surgery day. They wheeled her to the operating room doors, and only THEN did they perform a basic physical assessment. When they stood her up and had her cross her foot, her pain spiked intolerably. Senior neurosurgeon Dr. Karl Schmitt came to the room, re-examined her, and realized that performing a discectomy on her spine was entirely unsafe because her actual issue was coming from her HIP, not her spine.
The Disconnect: Why did it take four days and wheeling a patient to the doors of an operating room for a doctor to finally do a basic physical mobility exam? If Dr. Rash or any other physician had physically examined her on Thursday or Friday, she wouldn't have been subjected to days of fasting, surgical prep, and psychological stress for a canceled operation.
Monday (Passing the Buck): After canceling the spine surgery, they ordered X-rays, a CT scan, and a hip MRI on Sunday. The results came back today showing a moderate-to-severe arthritic condition and a subchondral impaction fracture (a microfracture in her hip bone). Because this was deemed a "chronic/degenerative" issue rather than an acute trauma, the hospital completely abandoned her. An orthopedic doctor didn't even bother to come up to her room to evaluate her fracture or offer a localized injection to manage her pain. Instead, they sent a neurosurgery resident to hand us discharge papers and clear the bed.
They kept my mother from Thursday to Monday, promised a surgical cure, failed to do a basic physical exam until the absolute last minute, discovered a hip fracture, and then kicked her out of the hospital in severe pain because her diagnosis "no longer fit their department."
The lack of communication, the lazy diagnostic process of treating a computer screen instead of a patient, and the total absence of empathy upon discharge is deeply shameful. Do better, Memorial Hermann.

Don’t go here! They treat all patients like they are drug seekers! The nurses are ridiculous and lazy! Worst hospital ever! Myself and my family will never go here again! Not just me several family members and friends have been treated horribly. The ER is beyond ridiculous! The staff does not care at all about patients needs or the quality of care! Same on them!
