I am deeply offended at this place! I had an ectopic pregnancy and my right fallopian tube ruptured! The surgical staff was OutStanding! However my OB never once checked on me! They refused to give me pain meds because the ob was off and when they found an alternative ob, that one flat out refused service as they said they had to many patients! I was in immense pain! The nurse didn't do a damn thing except hear me complain about the amount of pain I was in! She didn't try to call anyone else or try to figure out how to help me. I had 3 surgeries this year all of which were hospital bound for several days and they gave me the amount of meds I needed to help. Except for this place. I would recommend going to a veterinarian before going to this hospital. They do not have proper doctors or pharmacy on site. If I can find a way to contact the medical board I would demand that these ob doctors lose their licenses because they failed to render proper patient care. This place does not deserve 1 star. I will never recommend this hospital to anyone!! This place garbage!!

I came in yesterday morning to have an emergency surgery. I had an eptopic pregnancy and my fillopian tube ruptured. I am in so much pain and I have not slept since 2 days. I take anxiety medicine to help me sleep at night. I kept calling my nurse to help me sleep or give me some more pain killers. I'm at 9! She keeps telling me the doctor hasn't called me back yet so I can not give you anything for at least 3hrs. Plus you are still under anesthesia so you should go back to sleep pretty soon. Never once have I had a surgery and wasn't given any kind of help when it came to relieving my pain or helping me sleep! The nurses name is Symone. I am beyond greatful for the helped I received when it came to my surgery. The OR team is Amazing! The nurses could step up way more! I will never tell anyone to come here! This is complete BS! I am in so much freaking pain and no one has done a damn thing about it!! Please for any reason someone shows up and has Symone as a nurse or my doctor I've never seen fire the nurse and get a new one!!

I went in for an ultrasound and was left waiting for 2.5 hours with an appointment. First I was told that my tech was backed up and then that she was sitting in her office doing notes. I ended up leaving and forfeiting my appointment. I will schedule somewhere else. I wasted my whole afternoon and was really looking forward to getting my baby’s anatomy ultrasound done. Ultimately I’ll just take it as an opportunity to find some place else to get care. Would not recommend.

If I could give 0 stars that would be more accurate. My son was transported by ambulance to the ER in the middle of the night after having a seizure. I make it up there, walk in his closed door room. He’s throwing up all over the place, nurses had no clue & really acted unfazed & like they didn’t care when I asked for help. I’m in there cleaning him up. I feel he would’ve been laying in his own vomit for an extended period of time if I wouldn’t have been in the room.
My son needed to go to the restroom, I asked the nurse & she slowly came in there & unhooked him & just pointed the restroom is over there. No concern for him after he was brought there because he had a seizure & was unconscious, but he was told to go the restroom alone, my dad his grandfather walked to the door to check on him.
(The day nurses put him in a wheelchair to take him to the restroom.. )The over night nurses are the most uncaring & unprofessional nurses I’ve ever encountered. Obviously just there for a paycheck & to do as little as possible.
The following night he pushed the call button & texted me that nobody was responding and it had been more than 30 minutes, I had to call up there & she told me never got an alert. The a/c wasn’t working in his room, it felt like a sauna & I guess his call button wasn’t either.

I was admitted last night, clearly sick and unwell. I genuinely believe that if you go to this hospital, and you actually need life saving care.. this hospital will kill you. I can’t even go into it properly without disclosing my health issues. But rest assured I have been calling anyone that will listen at that hospital to tell them about the negligence. This place should be called CROAK BEND. The nurse I had probably got her degree online during covid or something.. she didn’t even look me in the eyes or ask my name or how i’m doing the whole 2 hours I was stuck there. She repeatedly FORGOT the urine sample cup in my room, so I didn’t know if I was okay or not for hours. Mind you.. there was NO ONE in the waiting room and almost all the room on my floor were empty. Honestly Memorial Hermann is better, not the best but anywhere is better. GOOGLE IS BETTER. I will not rest until that doctor and that nurse have consequences for treating patients absolutely horribly and unprofessionally. I am disgusted.

Last night my husband came in to the emergency room and was clearly sick. We were put in a room only minutes later to be kicked out to the hallway. We sit in the hall and wait and decide im going to speak up. I go to the nurses station and say my husband needs a room not the hallway or we’re going to go to Methodist . Minutes later we’re in a room. The nurse comes to take his blood pressure, and pulse. She never checks his temp and he was burning up. The doctor comes in 10 minutes later who was very nice and went over everything. He ordered labs and scans he also ordered Covid, flu and strep test. Still no temperature reading and at this point he’s not well. My husband comes back to the room and we wait about 30 minutes. The nurse comes in to try to get an IV started. She pokes him once and nothing then she took another needle and proceeds to use it 4 more times 2 in the top of his hand and 2 by the crease of the arm. She thought she was successful and started to draw blood but then the vain blew. So there’s a tube with blood droplets that leads to the test tube. She then proceeded to drop the tube with the test tube still attached ON THE FLOOR and used it on my husband. I wish I got a picture of it. It was DISGUSTING! She finally got a line in to give him IV fluids. They never got a blood sample. As we got discharged we were waiting for the fluids to finish.they finished and my husband moved a funny way to itch his arm and his IV falls out (like we need it at that point) and he’s starts bleeding like crazy. I called for someone to come help but no one (shift change) so I took it upon myself to stop the bleeding and bandage up my husband. There was a huge puddle of blood on the bed. I cannot believe all this happened, I’m very disappointed. I’m a phlebotomist and half the things that nurse did would of been an immediate firing from my job.
This was a terrible experienced and will never come back!

This is by far the worst experience ever. I will never recommend this hospital to anyone of my family members or friends. I took my mom to the ER on Williams Way around 1:30pm because she was dehydrated and with severe pain in her stomach. They did administer IV and pain meds but had to wait nearly 12 hours to get a room after being admitted- was very disappointing. After finally getting a hospital room 12 hours later, we had to wait an additional 14 hours to see another doctor- all the while my mom laid in a hospital bed agonizing in pain. It was a constant issue with speaking to staff for action to be taken with the promise of 'we will take care of it' from the nurses to the case manager.
In the room I spoke with the nurse taking care of my mom and addressed my concern of her dehydration and pain. She contacted the doctor in charge of her case via text message and messages were received and shown as read status but no reply on the doctors part. After additional messages sent by the nurse, she let the doctor know of my concerns and the doctor stated he would approve administering IV and pain meds for my mom and that he'd send the order in. That was never done, this so called order was never received, and so my mom was with no IV or pain meds for nearly 14 hours.
After the doctor finally showed to see my mom, he tried to reassure that he'd do everything possible to help my mom out and treat her like his own family. We requested for a CT scan, the doctor agreed, but that was another fail. The doctor placed the scan to the Jackson location instead of the williams way location. Because of this, we had to wait until the next day for the scan to be done- even after telling every doctorand nurse there that my mom had severe stomach pain and she was having trouble using the restroom. A whole 3 days for a CT scan for a patient who was obviously in so much pain!!!!
My mom had to get an NG tube down her nose due to the fact she was not wanting to eat or drink because of so much pain. While having the tube down her nose, I still had to the nurses there because no order of formula or her medication were not approved even after the doctor said he'd turn it in. So my mom had to wait with the tube in her nose for 6 hours before even getting anything put down through it. The nurse did not enter the Xray showing the ng tube was in the stomach so the night nurse staff had to wait to verify the location of the tube.
After getting the CT scan results, the doctor stated that my mom had a pretty big impaction and was the cause of her pain. I was deeply unsatisfied and concerned with the lack of judgement and communication between the staff in general. One minute one person said one thing and a minute later someone else would come in and say something completely different. It was all extremely chaotic and mind baffling.
To conclude my mom had to get a PEG tube due to her inability to eat or drink. There was very little help with teaching us how to administer any formula or meds or how to even obtain the formula out of the hospital. I asked a nurse to please show me again how to do certain processes to make sure I understood correctly the first time and she hesitated stating they are only supposed to show us once. I am not in healthcare, what's common sense to a nurse is not common sense to people outside of healthcare, and the lack of compassion was very upsetting and defeating.
To top it all of, staff told us that my mom would get discharged from 12-1p and that was not the case at all. We ended up getting her out at around 8 pm. We were made to wait about 8 hrs and at the time of discharge they were basically rushing us out the door.
I will say not all the staff was bad. There were some nurses and cna who did their job, went above and beyond, and helped out so much. Nurse Basayu, Nurse Elenor, Nurse Marvin, Nurse Manoj, CNA Michelle and Jessica... thank you so much for your kindness, compassion, and willingness to help. You all are the only positives with Oakbend hospital.

Do not go here for any ER needs. My visit was horrible, the staff was very unprofessional and violated hippa policies as I overheard them sharing my reason for visit to everyone in the first floor. I felt like my privacy was not taken serious. Nurse could not find a vain, bruised me and did not apologize for it. I was not asked once if I was enduring any pain or if they can do anything to accommodate my time there as I waited for results. I was there for about 5 hours! Doctors did not provide me with details, copies of ultrasound or even gave me the option. I was dispatched in a cold demeanor with no sense of next steps, medication, prescription. I am overall really disappointed with the customer service and the lack of humanity here. Staff takes their job like a joke and are not comforting in the most vulnerable situations. Highly unacceptable and I plan on speaking to someone higher with my concerns.
