Brought my mom in whom I’d a heart patient ad well as dementia patient with diabetes. Brought her in because there is a baseball size lump in her chest that is hurting her. I expressed we do d not know about the lump and she just stated it started hurting yesterday. This man named Tom(nurse) in the ER stated ok if that’s what you brought her for, we can’t take any X-rays to see what it is ! Stated if it’s a bone we can see but anything else is we can’t do anything to help her! The way my face dropped was crazy! I stated we brought her to the emergency room because a lump in her chest is an urgency! He kept saying in so many ways there was no reason for her to be here!!! I have never felt more unwelcome in all my life!!! When a patient is brought in, no one wants to be at a hospital. Not the patient and not the people bringing them. It’s just has to be done!!! To add insult to injury, I’m told both Mr and my sister are not allowed in the back! However she gets back there with my mom and there are 2 families with more then 1 guest!!

My name is Brigitte. I am a volunteer coordinator for a hospice company here in the Webster area. I have to give a 5 star review to a remarkable human being. Chelsea Murrow.
We are incredibly grateful for one of our amazing hospice volunteers balancing her role at Methodist Clear Lake Hospital while dedicating her weekends to our patients speaks volumes about her compassion and character.
She brings kindness comfort and a calming presence to every visit supporting both patients and their families during difficult times Her selflessness and heart for service truly make a difference!
We are so blessed to have her as part of our team here at Allegiance Hospice Webster Keep shining Chelsea.
At Allegiance Hospice you are not just a volunteer to us You are a big part of someone else's story

Do not come here if you have an emergency and are pregnant. I was recommended by an urgent care in my town to go to a hospital due to needing an ultrasound because I’m pregnant and have been having lower abdominal pain along with other symptoms. After almost 5 hours of being in the er I never received an ultrasound. To begin we waited 1.5 hrs and the pain was getting worse, everyone that had came before us or around the same time had been seen so my fiancée asked the front desk what the estimated wait time would be since at this point my pain had gotten worse, they were dismissive an told him they didn’t have a Dr available and would help us when available. At 2.5 hrs, I was crying out of pain and went to the front office to once again ask what the wait time would be because I was not feeling well at all. They proceeded to tell me they would tell the nurse and that I would be the next one seen. We waited another 30-45 min and get “seen” by a Dr who then tells me I’ll get bloodwork, an iv for hydration and some pain medicine. Don’t get my wrong the Dr and nurses at this point were now very friendly and respectful but the point of us going to this hospital was because I was told by another urgent care that due to my symptoms I needed an ultrasound to make sure baby is ok. All in all we came in at 3 and didn’t leave until almost 8:40. We saw the lobby be cleared out twice before actually receiving care and now I’m still home with lower abdomen pain and medication for another different issue that they claimed “could cause stomach pain”

I had a full (and honestly hectic) day at Methodist yesterday—mammogram, diagnostic ultrasound, oncology follow-up, and lab work for another provider in the Smith Tower and Outpatient Center. Even with how busy everything was, the experience stood out in the best way.
When I first went down to the lab, they were clearly backed up, but Becky Woods greeted me with kindness and professionalism. I let her know I had imaging upstairs and would come back, and she handled it with such grace.
I came back down in between appointments, and although they were still busy (which speaks to how trusted they are), they still made the effort to try to get me in. I had to leave again for my oncology visit, and by that point I was fasting, hungry, and running on fumes—but I came back one more time because I’d already committed.
That’s when Becky stepped in again. She remembered me, advocated for me, and said, “You’ve been waiting, let me take care of you.” She got me in right away, and that level of attentiveness meant everything.
Brandi, the phlebotomist, was just as incredible. Gentle, kind, and skilled I barely felt the needle. If you’ve ever had lab work done, you know how rare that is.
From start to finish, the team was professional, compassionate, and truly cared. Even on a busy day, they made me feel seen and taken care of.
And to top it all off I received amazing news at my oncology appointment: I’m in remission and have a clean bill of health for another year. 🙏
I’ll absolutely be coming back and will be requesting Brandi every time. Experiences like this remind you how much good care matters not just medically, but human to human.
Highly recommend Methodist and this entire team.

I’d like to recognize Emergency Department Dr. Brad Egbar for being so proactive and preventative in my case. He took the time to really hear me explain and try to get to the root of the problem. It’s not often you go to the ER and are treated with attentiveness. I’m highly impressed by him and ED staff. As well as my nurse in the OB department Celeste. Exceptional & amazing quality care as a nurse. Highly recommend.

My son was seen promptly and with care
From the moment we entered the ER staff put my son at ease and listened to make sure any worries where addressed. We spent 2 hours there and I saw staff working together to make it smooth experience and get us on our way. Big plus everyone was so pleasant.

Went to the Methodist stand-alone ER for a minor emergency; there was very little wait time, and I received excellent care from the staff. Thanks!
