Methodist hospital has the best doctors who listen, show compassion & do the job right. My ER visit was very easy to endure. My ER doctor, was very concerned about me. I'm so thrilled to have doctor's who know how to sincerely care for patients. Thank you!!! Dr. J R, very kind & knowledgeable. I love all the Methodist doctors.
Dad waited 3 days in the hospital for a simple 15min thoracentesis procedure. Three days. No wonder healthcare is so bloated and expensive.
Review what went down with Rm 484 discharged on 4/20. Work with your IR team to figure out weekends. Contract with more to standby if you need to.
3 days inpatient was uncalled for.
Can’t wait to see this bill and what was charged to Medicare. These situations are partly why we can’t get cost down.

I am beyond disappointed and honestly shaken by my experience at Methodist Missouri City. I came in because I was having serious trouble breathing and my chest was hurting—symptoms that are terrifying and should be treated with urgency and care. Instead, as I tried to explain what I was feeling, both the nurse and the doctor on duty were incredibly dismissive, as if what I was saying didn’t matter.
Things took an even worse turn when the nurse returned with Benadryl. Without any explanation or proper setup, he pushed 50cc directly into my IV line all at once, without even attaching an IV drip. The effect hit me immediately and intensely—it felt like my throat was closing. I started coughing and struggling to breathe even more. I was scared and trying to communicate that something was wrong, but instead of helping, the nurse just kept saying, “You’re okay, it will pass,” while I was clearly in distress and couldn’t breathe.
I felt completely ignored and unsafe. In that moment, I genuinely feared for my life. The only thing I could think to do was text my daughter and beg her to come help me.
We left as quickly as possible and went straight to MD Anderson in the Medical Center—where I should have gone in the first place. There, I was immediately taken seriously, given oxygen, and properly evaluated. That’s when I found out I had pneumonia.
The difference in care was night and day. What I experienced at Methodist Missouri City was not just poor service—it was dangerous. No patient should ever be made to feel dismissed or put at risk like that, especially when they come in with something as serious as breathing problems and chest pain. I would strongly urge others to think twice before trusting this facility with their care.

Last Tuesday I went to Houston Methodist Emergency Care and, every single person working there was nice with me, the receptionist, the nurse and the doctor. They took care of me, I don't have to wait to long. I do recommend this place.
I don’t normally leave reviews on hospitals lol. But I’m a single mom who had to bring her 2 kids in with her last night for myself to get seen & I just have to say how amazing the nurses in the emergency room were. They were incredibly kind & patient with my kids & I will always appreciate that!! Josh & unfortunately I didn’t get the other two woman’s names. They were amazing & they probably deserve getting paid more for what they handled
