Omg the whole hospital smelled terrible I was so sick they never told me what was wrong then they discharged me when I had open infection, and have fluid on the brain....place was scary

Staff at University General Hospital are amazing - especially in surgery and recovery! I have only been admitted once here (through the ER) and they staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating to my many needs.
I would highly recommend this facility to any doctor or patient. Truly top notch!

The emergency room staff and nurses were great, my only complaint is waiting over 6 hours to be admitted and taken to my room. It is hard for me to believe that "admisson paperwork" takes that long to do with everything digital nowdays. I felt like noone cared or wanted the responsibility of admitting me and getting me in my room so i could rest before i had major surgery the next day, not a very good feeling to say the least.

My mom was admitted here with pneumonia and severe fluid build up in her lungs. Nothing but great things to say about the staff here. Quality of care was excellent. as far as hospital visits go, and we've had a few, University General has been a blessing.

I had major surgery and found it difficult to get help when in pain.
Also an IV was put in the elbow crease of my right arm which set off the
IV alarm every time I moved my right arm (duh!)
A needle was left in my bed
The pharmacy didn't have options if you were allergic to a medicine.
It was pitiful.

My mother has been admitted into this hospital on 2 different occasions and both have been extremely pleasant. On the times that we have only gone for emergency services the wait was never more than 30 minutes. I would recommend this hospital over and over again to anyone.

Never made it past the admissions. Got so fed up with incompetence and don't care attitude, I left.
