As a Marriott member, this was an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience.
I was moved between three different rooms, all with serious issues:
Bugs crawling across kitchen counters
Dirty surfaces and leftover items
Deadbolts that did not work, leaving doors unsecured
Leaking faucets and loose fixtures
Staff were dismissive, unhelpful, and at one point, I overheard an employee say they didnโt want to answer calls. No management was on-site, and when I raised safety concerns, I was accused of being "difficult."
As a solo traveler, I felt unsafe and unheard. This is a terrible reflection on Marriottโs standards and brand reputation.

The location is amazing, walkable to Galeria. The room was good, with a lot of
Space, however they could use some upgrading. Breakfast was the lower point, nearly absent some days, they do not refill even coffee. No bread .

I just wrapped up a week long stay here, so it's time to give my thoughts. I'll try to keep it fairly short and concise.
The good: The staff were all excellent. Everybody I interacted with was very friendly. The breakfast was good, but nothing to write home about. It was pretty much what you'd expect for a hotel breakfast. The bed was somewhat comfortable, but I'm an edge case. I get lower back pain on soft beds and found the couch to be more comfortable some nights. They have the usual proprietary TV box garbage, but because of the way the TV is mounted, it's extremely easy to unplug the HDMI cable and hook up your own entertainment. There's LOTS of outlets to plug in your devices, so you don't ever feel like you need a power strip to charge all of your devices. The room was definitely laid out with modern travelers in mind.
The bad: During hotter months (I'm writing this in late June) the hallways on floors 2-4 are HOT. Depending on the time of day the hallways will actually be hotter than it is outside. Most of the time they were around 85 degrees. The kitchen faucet in my room only got up to luke warm. Apparently that should not have been the case so maybe the next time I'm there that won't be a problem. The electric stove is basically what you'd find in a small RV. It takes forever to boil water (10 minutes for 2 packs of ramen, 25 minutes for a large pot of spaghetti). I was told that this is due to various regulations, but I've stayed at other Marriott family hotels in the Houston area where the stove had considerably more power.
The weird...: This is more of a nitpick and doesn't factor into my rating. Who the heck thought a shower with no door was a good idea? Instead there's a glass panel that covers about โ of it with a wide opening on the far end. Made for a nice, wet, SLIPPERY floor right in front of the shower. Also, the shower knob is on the end where you get in, instead of under the shower head. I think that's a great idea myself as you don't get sprayed with cold water while turning on the shower, but a couple people I mentioned it to thought it was weirder than the shower being partially open.
Would I stay here again? Definitely. There's not a whole lot to do in the area, but that's fine with me as my vacations are to get away from everyone and have some time to myself.
Overall the place is nice and convenient, my only problem was with the beda dn pillows. Very uncomfortable the first night and just got used to it the second night. Would I stay here again probably for the price and what you get is pretty good. Just wish the bed and pillows were a bit more comfortable.
One of the worst hotel experiences I had. Horrible rooms, outdated, dirty and nothing worked as expected. The sofa bed mattress was horrible. Only one light bulb in the room worked. The diswasher leaked... not enough silverware and the smell and humidity of the room was awful.

The rooms were ok, except the roach issue. They rent out rooms as apartments, so some people are not as clean. But the overall experience is great. The staff is great as well. Great location by everything.
Iโve had the worst experience ever with this property.! Itโs filthy! The pool was nasty.! And THEY HAVE ROACHES.!!! I had a roach crawling on my 1 year old neck and she grabbed it.! Iโm a titanium member and Marriott dis not value me.! Iโm pursuing legal charges at this point she had a rash on her neck after that day and it was noted by the dr at urgent care we were lied to and wen calling the corporate number they brushed us off.!! I will continue to let everyone know they donโt value our money.!

I was very sceptical about staying here, and booked it without reading the Google reviews but it was too late to cancel, however i didnโt need to be worried. I wrote in before to ask for a room that would be roach free (not sure if that helped) but I found the staff to be helpful, the rooms to and clean and the bed to be comfortable. I didnโt see any roaches in the room at all, and no bugs for that matter. The room was spotless and the kitchen very well stocked. For the price you pay this is a great option. It didnโt feel unsafe, it didnโt stink of weed, the other guests were perfectly nice. The gym is basic but youโre paying $120 a night what do you expect! The breakfast was a nice bonus, but there werenโt many vegan options (not a problem because it was basic anyway). I would recommend this hotel if you need a place to sleep and base yourself whilst in Houston. Sure, itโs not luxury but youโre staying at a Residence Inn, not the Post Oak!
I stayed at the hotel two weeks for business. My room was spacious for my use and very clean. The staff is very helpful. I didn't eat breakfast much but when I did, it was fine. The hotel was conveniently located and the neighborhood felt safe. I was very happy with my stay.
The room needs to be updated! The tub was very rusty and it had orange rust around it. The bed especially needed to be swapped out, it was extremely squeaky and uncomfortable I can feel the Springs as I was laying on the bed. I don't think the cleaning ladies really clean the room because it definitely looks like any day a deep cleaning. The front desk lady was absolutely amazing and she was very professional and friendly.
