I've been to this hospital quite a few times over the past 30 years and had good and bad experiences here. The past ten years my experiences have been pretty bad. From 3 plus hour wait times, very rude nurses and a Dr who just left me laying in that bed, with a young lady who they were "training" at the time, while I was crying and pleading for help because the kidney stone pain was so bad and all they gave me was an IV.. That poor girl was so terrified, they used me as a guinea pig. I still can not believe that Dr left me like that. It was weird when she went to discharge me that night, like she was waiting for me to tell her something. I didn't though, but I will never forget that night.
I can not go without commending them for one time I went in with pneumonia and a 104.5 temperature. They admitted me for a week and nursed me back to health. They really took good care of me that week and everyone on that floor was very kind.

My surgery for my carpel tunnel to my rt hand on 9-17-2024 went fine except for 1 problem. We paid for the procedure using a credit card. We only made that one transaction that day. My wife & I watch all transactions very closely. Our credit card got hacked, whoever did it immediately entered our info into a pay app & begin making purchases in the local area of Richmond & online.
Luckily we caught it & cancelled all the illegal transactions & reported the illegal activity. Whoever did this is very practiced at doing this. It's very alarming that someone would take advantage of someone undergoing a medical procedure that leaves them altered mentally for a bit.
I hope the guilty party feels their guilt & gets caught. We are reporting this to our doctor's office who did the procedure & to the authorities. This is totally unacceptable & sad.
