I visited the ER on last night at about 7 pmt. The location is convenient. I was experiencing a tremendous account of pain radiating from neck down my right arm. I The pain made it very difficult to drive.
I signed in and waited about ten minutes for Triage by a very friendly female nurse. She asked me to be seated in the lobby and the doctor would see me shortly. I sat for one and a half hour and no call to a room or a doctor to the waiting room to start treatment through X-rays. I was directed to speak with a male nurse in triage who basically told me everyone else coming in was more important because they were sicker than me. I asked him how did he know they are sicker than me when he didn't even know what was causing my pains. He responded by saying they have underlying conditions. My reply was I have them as well.He told me to sit back in the lobby and a doctor would come to speak with me. But he never even asked my name. 30 more minutes transpired. By this time I'm crying because the pain is really bad. I couldn't take it anymore so I told the intake person I am leaving. She showed no concern and basic said I'll let the nurse know. I expressed to her as a human I should not have to sit for two hours in pain and no one attempt to help me or check on me. I was shedding more tears from being so upset over this experience.
I left and went to another hospital. Checked in and was immediately called to the back. By this time I'm having chest from being upset with the other people. My heart rate was 45 and the St. Luke's didn't know that because they never checked it! My chest and arm pains were related to severe inflammation I could not treat on my own.
I'm grateful for HCA helping me and going into immediate actions because there is no telling how long St. Luke's would have allowed me to sit in the lobby in tears and extreme pain all because the nurse felt like my situation was not a medical emergency.

The care was terrible. The nurse who was a gentleman was really dismissive. They left me in the room after a accident with no explanation of what was going on. I had to get up and open the door where the 3 nurses were seated at the station and ask for Tylenol. They never did a visual assessment. Just a ct scan and x-ray and shipped me down the road with a prescription.

This was one of the worst experiences I've had with the hospital. I didn't feel safe I didn't feel listened to. I was in a very serious situation and I had to argue that I needed to be an ICU by the time they realized it it was almost too late I will never go back to this hospital.

I went on 6-24-2026 to St. Luke's Health - The Vintage Hospital - Houston, TX, to pick up a patient who was brought into ER for a checkup. I went to front desk in ER time was 6:59 PM. Before even I said anything the lady at the front desk tells me NO VISITING AFTER SIX. How unprofessional... you didn't even ask customer how can you help? what does the customer need? I was not even talking to her, I went straight to other lady who was sitting on the left side of the counter and told her I am here to pick up a patient. At this point, the first rude and unprofessional one pulled that lady to the back office and informed security to come for assistance. Next thing I see a security guard standing at the front desk staring at me.
I want to request the administration to look into this matter and take appropriate action and remove her from that post for behaving unprofessionally, discourteously, and rudely and creating an unnecessary drama and creating a hostile situation. You can look into the cameras for that incident too.
I hope administration will do the right thing to held their reputation and professionalism.

I had an issue and went into the ER. The staff was Great. They showed empathy and treated me quickly and effectively; especially walking into the ER at 3am. This is where the wheels came off. I was billed my portion of my visit $850 which I paid over 2 months. In the interim, St. Lukes charged my finance fees which I did not sign up. Since I paid the portion my insurance didn't pay, I thought it would be easy for St. Lukes to write off $19.00. They told me I am responsible and they won't waive $19 of a finance charge I didn't request, especially paying $850. Watch out!!!

I’ve been bringing my kids here for almost two years for no serious illnesses because of the good overall experience and short wait times. Today, RN Lee was extremely rude and treated me so poorly I cried out of frustration. Waiting to see a doctor for over an hour, my kids asked for the cookies that are often offered to patients. After asking Lee, he nonchalantly brought some ,making remarks about us not letting crumbs on the floor (Implying we wood not clean after ourselves) and him being too busy. My kids being kids asked for more and, in an attempt to keep them calm and to my regret, I reluctantly asked Lee for a few extra cookies and juice. That’s when the issue erupted. He stood up walked over to me and strongly and rudely stated “NO” “ You Should’ve given them snacks before coming here.” And ranting about not having the time to care for us. On the other hand, Doctor Salooja (Apart from being extremely professional) was empathetic and apologized for the nurse once he found out what had happened. Needless to say, I will not be coming back. It’s a shame some employees taint the image of an overall great Healthcare facility.

I am compelled to provide candid feedback regarding my recent emergency room visit to St. Luke’s Health as my experience was deeply concerning and, frankly, unacceptable.
This was not my first encounter with this facility, and regrettably, it reflects a pattern I have observed over time one in which I have consistently felt unheard and inadequately attended to. As an African-American woman, I would be remiss not to acknowledge that I have, on multiple occasions, questioned whether implicit bias may have influenced the level of attentiveness and care I received.
Despite prior reservations, I sought treatment at this location because I was experiencing significant difficulty breathing and could not safely travel farther. Given the severity of my symptoms, I made the decision to go to the nearest hospital, trusting that I would receive the urgent and thorough care my condition required.
From intake through discharge, I felt that my concerns were not fully acknowledged or meaningfully addressed. I communicated clearly what I was experiencing, yet it seemed as though my symptoms were minimized or dismissed. While some tests were conducted, I was ultimately discharged with instructions to follow up with a specialist without any clear resolution, explanation, or immediate relief of the issue that brought me in.
What is most troubling is that I continue to experience the very same symptoms today. When a patient knows their body and senses that something is wrong, that insight should be taken seriously, not overlooked. I left the facility feeling as though critical opportunities to investigate my condition more thoroughly were missed.
Additionally, I cannot ignore the possibility that insurance status or coverage may have influenced the level of care or urgency applied to my case. Whether or not that is the case, the perception alone speaks to a larger issue in patient trust and equitable treatment.
Given both my recent experience and prior encounters, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this facility. Patients in vulnerable conditions deserve to feel heard, respected, and thoroughly cared for , none of which I consistently experienced here.
It is my sincere hope that this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity for reflection and improvement in patient care, communication, and equity.

Don't come here for the emergency room they charge you during your visit, send you another bill after your visit, and then a 3rd bill for a facility fee. They're just going to nickle and dime you till your either poor or dead.

The we basically didn’t help with finding the root of my issue with the pain and swelling of my leg guessed that it was my medial meniscus just put me in a leg brace and sent me on my way, didn’t prescribe me any pain medicine just to take ibuprofen and that’s it was the worse experience i ever had sent me home in pain with my bp at 201/189. The nurse who was putting on brace didn’t know what she was doing was putting it on backwards until the person she had helping told her she was doing it wrong. Dr bearly saw me just kept sticking me in rooms alone with no one bearly checking on me this morning is one of the worst hospitals I have ever gone to and will never go again.
