General is now a hybrid MDiv program being reimagined from the ground up in ways that I find so hopeful for the future of the Episcopal Church. The turnover in leadership and vision for clergy formation led me to GTS and I have no regrets. The hybrid model offers the best of both words and a rigorous but flexible degree path. The rhythm of gathering and sending in a hybrid model makes us really cherish our time together while making seminary possible for folks who can't relocate. I'm disappointed to see bad reviews just for lack of free access to a private campus! I've attended multiple schools with urban campuses and key card only access is the norm for student and faculty safety, this is totally in line with other schools. If you have a personal connection with the school there are gatherings and opportunities like alumni weekends so please get on the mailing list instead of leaving a one star review for having normal campus safety.

As a seminarian at GTS, I simply cannot say enough good things about its academic program and professors. The new hybrid program allows so much flexibility. The community and love that we share is like no other. From the first time I walked onto campus, and every time since, the Close has always felt like home. I would highly recommend GTS to anyone considering a call to ordained ministry. #ProudtobeaCohort3 🐧🙏🏻

The new hybrid MDiv program is a gem. There are now more students who want to attend than there are seats in the program. In a time of so much change in seminary education and the church, I feel lucky to be part of this community. I’m so optimistic that the new partnership with Vanderbilt will enable this beautiful chapel and community to bless the church for many years to come.

This seminary is one of the greatest experiences of my life. The faculty, the students, the available resources and the learning are incredible. The spiritual community is absolutely wonderful The campus in NYC is one of a kind. Cannot recommend it enough.

Wonderful architectural complex with the chapel reminiscent of Schinkel's Friedrichwerdersche Kirche in Berlin. The Gothic collegiate architecture of the campus is clearly modeled on Ivy League campuses, such as Harvard, and Oxford in the UK. The original architect was Charles Coolidge Haight (1841-1917). The red brick facade of the chapel beautifully captures the afternoon light.
