If I could give zero stars I would. This was the worst experience ever. Methodist really needs to review this hospital and revamp policy and procedures. My daughter came in for a broken leg (it was confirmed on CT) we literally waited after the confirmation for over 4 hours for her to get casted. This is ridiculous!!!! This place is way understaffed and not big enough to serve the community they are in.

My cousin was a patient there for a week, she had to have emergency spinal surgery. She had surgery Wednesday and the following Monday they were talking about discharge. There was a confusion with her insurance that they were too dumb to call and confirm, she was fully covered, she needed to be released to a rehabilitation center, the social workers cousins one because they kept saying she wasn’t covered. That Tuesday I called her insurance company and we called the rehab and gave them all the info they needed, they said it would take 72 hours to approve everything. Well the hospital called there ambulance service and kicked her out on Tuesday, had there service to take her home, no walker, no wheelchair, no bed pads, adult diapers and no explanation of follow up care because THEY SAID SHE WAS NOT INSURED. The discharge nurses were very rude and uncaring. IT WAS HORRIBLE

I tried to give this ER another chance, but after last night, I will not be returning.

It’s disappointing when you feel like the doctors aren’t willing to thoroughly evaluate your child. During my son’s exam, the doctor looked in his ear but said earwax was blocking her view of the eardrum. Rather than discussing options or asking if I wanted the earwax removed so she could complete the exam, she simply stated that she would not remove it.

As a parent, it’s concerning because if the eardrum can’t be visualized, how can an ear infection be confidently ruled out? I work in healthcare myself, so I understand that patient safety and a thorough assessment are important.

I understand that not every situation requires earwax removal, but better communication and a more patient-centered approach would have gone a long way. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in the care and communication families receive in the future.

Got yelled at by a nurse because I couldn't stop hyperventilating. Got yelled at again because my body wouldn't stop shaking. Apparently me being sick was a real obstacle for them.

The warm blankets were nice though.

On May 18th I went to ER. I was almost unconscious from pain. I was lined up in the hallway and given pain meds which helped a little. I had to use the bathroom and the nurse told me where to go but I couldn't walk. She looked disgusted but brought a wheelchair. When I was finally placed in a room I had to go to the bathroom again. This "nurse" had a deathgrip on my arm. I was crying from the pain and she started screaming in my ear to stop screaming at her! Then she tightened her grip and started screaming at me that I was going to fall! She left bruises on my right arm! My family was furious and my sister in California called patient advocates. I was moved to a room far off in a corner where no one could hear me crying from the pain I was in. The next day I was drugged up hard and someone from administration came in to tell me that I owed $17K already. Thanks, I'll just write a check.... I told them I was uninsured when I came through ER. Their office called the hospital phone at 10pm one night to discuss my information! 10PM! I saw doctors for less than a minute when they came in. All they said was that I had a a severe UTI and pneumonia. I heard them in the doorway discussing me and heard the word "sepsis". I had to ASK them if I was septic and they gave me a stupid look and said yes. Shouldn't that have been part of the information they conveyed to me?! The next 8 days I DID have excellent care from nurses but on day 10 they sent me home with a bunch of unnecessary medications and withdrawal from dilaudid and morphine. I was only given 7 days of antibiotics even though I still had fever. I had to get a refill from an internet doctor. Now I'm getting bills from people who's names I don't even know; doctors who saw me in the hospital with cryptic abbreviations of service provided. I NEVER saw any doctor for more than a minute and they didn't answer any questions I had but they charged almost $200 for those seconds! I now have more PTSD from my experience at this hospital. I never heard anything about the abuse inflicted on me the first day. All this place cares about is collecting money and, over a month later, I'm still recovering from sepsis. I was treated better at Ben Taub! Do yourself a favor and never trust SugarLand Methodist to actually help you!

I want to share my excellent experience with Aliyah and Loree at the Labcorp facility inside Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital,
MOB 1 Suite 200. I went in for my routine prenatal lab work a few times. Being pregnant can make lab visits stressful, but both Aliyah and Loree have been incredibly kind, gentle, and professional. They make the blood draws quick and comfortable. I highly recommend this specific location thanks to their wonderful care! -Brittany H.

ICU was great, my mother received excellent care....until everyone ran out the door for the holiday weekend. The nurses are awesome but now the attending who was to talk to us 16 hours ago has still not made an appearance.... unacceptable.
