I needed a loaner car to Austin ASAP since my friends car broke down right before we were about to leave. The employees were kind enough to drop a loner vehicle to my apartment complex for us to use to make our trip successful! Terrible experience!
I purchased a 2013 Land Rover LR4 sight-unseen from Texas and had shipped to California. I found the car on Cargurus. Unfortunately, I foolishly relied on Mykel, the owner, sense of integrity to point out the flaws with the car as I could not physically do it. I specifically asked on more than one occasion that any flaws would be pointed out pre-sale and the only flaw mentioned was that the TVs didn't work, which I was ok with.
Upon receiving the car, I noticed the cosmetic issues immediately and reached out to Mykle right away. For starters, the running board was yanked out of the cars subfloor, and one arrived inside the car rather than on it. There are now huge holes where they were yanked out. Dents and scratches on the car were visible as was the fact that the rear trunk was repainted and done poorly. Not only that but its tweaked and hard to close. It turns out that there was some collision there and never mentioned.
The car had been smoked in, the winshield is broken, the water pump failed, and the bushings were shot. All this in the first week of owning it. I paid 3k out of pocket because Mykle said he would take care of it. Total bait and switch.
Beware.
The fact that this deal was tripped through Lamborghini of Austin does not bode well for Lamborghini. How could such a brand be affiliated with someone like this?
